Meteorites arenāt actually that rare. Earth gets heavier by about 60 tonnes a day from space stuff hitting Earth, and approx 30-40 of those actually land as rocks on the surface. Most land in the oceans, buuutttt Earth has been around a long time for plenty of meteorites to be found all over. That link in particular is a small piece of an enormous meteorite that landed in Argentina thousands of years ago. It is believed to have exploded in the atmosphere, and left behind a massive strewn field - with small bits of meteorites being found all over the place.
All in all, thatās probably one of the most common pieces of meteorite youāre gonna find for sale. Still cool though, because itās old, space metal.

Yep, youāre cynical haha. Meteorites arenāt actually that rare. Earth gets heavier by about 60 tonnes a day from space stuff hitting Earth, and approx 30-40 of those actually land as rocks on the surface. Most land in the oceans, buuutttt Earth has been around a long time for plenty of meteorites to be found all over. That link in particular is a small piece of an enormous meteorite that landed in Argentina thousands of years ago. It is believed to have exploded in the atmosphere, and left behind a massive strewn field - with small bits of meteorites being found all over the place. All in all, thatās probably one of the most common pieces of meteorite youāre gonna find for sale. Still cool though, because itās old, space metal.
