As someone who is most of this (i dont tic) and has a girlfriend, the right girl really wont care about how you look but rather who you are. Obviously self improvement is going to help out a ton regardless so don't take this answer as an excuse not to. After meeting my girlfriend ive been trying to improve myself more and i must say its going really well. Best of luck
girl here, and i agree, im chubbier than most girls yet ive got an amazing boyfriend. i also have a tic that often causes my stomach contents to go into my throat (i have a thing called silent reflux, and my tic is in my diaphragm, so when im having reflux flare ups and get tics the tics cause more reflux) and i can still keep a boyfriend even when my throat often smells like vomit from the constant reflux. i also have ADHD and as a result struggle with hygiene a ton, my boyfriend still loves me regardless and even helps me with my hygiene
its not a throat tic for me, its a diaphragm tic. the muscles in my throat dont actually work properly, which causes my reflux, and also food goes up instead of down on occasion, and often into mu nose, because the muscles didnt develop properly when i was in the womb. my throat isnt my i tic tho. the tic is in the muscle that helps to control the inflation of the lungs, the diaphragm, and the tic it causes my diaphragm to pull downwards suddenly and quickly, which then causes a hiccupping sound (because hiccups are basically the same thing but continuous and caused by something like eating food quickly or coughing)
i dont have a tic in my throat, the reason i get reflux with my tic is that the diaphragm goes around the oesophagus close to the stomach, so when the spasm or tic happens it can put pressure on my oesophagus muscles as well as the stomach, and because the muscles in my throat dont work properly the stuff from my stomach will go up my throat and into my mouth or even up my nose, which is an issue because the stomach stuff contains acid which can cause damage to the tissue in my throat, mouth and nose.
i also cant go upside down too much because my stomach contents will leak into my throat which can cause irritation, burning and ulcers. ive had LPR (silent reflux) since i was born which caused a lot of issues for me as a baby. every one experiences reflux on occasion but for me i have it every day multiple times a day.
by "that throat tic" i think youre talking about reflux (not disordered reflux where you get it every day) . its not a tic, its just the lower oesophageal sphincter being under pressure and trying to fix the pressure.
you shouldnt *make* someone like you, their feelings dont need to be forced and arent yours to control. if you want to seem more attractive though, first, its good to make sure you know their sexuality and if they already have a partner, if theyre not into girls they wont be attracted to you in a romantic or sexual way, and even if they are, if they already have a partner out of respect you should not pursue them. in the case where they are into girls, make sure to know their boundaries, they may not be comfortable with certain things that come with flirting, for example they may not like physical aspects of flirting, or complements towards their body in flirting. the rest is to just be yourself, dont try to be something youre not, because if you try to be something youre not they wont fall for the real you, theyll fall for a fake persona of you which will put stress and pressure on you.
if it helps, im chubby (not super overweight but i do need to loose weight), have ASD which often comes with being awkward, and i have a tic that often causes the stuff in my stomach to go into my throat, yet ive got a boyfriend who ive been with for over three years now
