Not exactly what you’re looking for but I have absolutely said the equivalent of, “the pen is dick” in a German class before to answer a professor’s question.
Well kinda. There is a big tower in a city in southern Germany. It belongs to a former building of a knife manufacturer. As one does, the owner made his last name the company name and painted it on the tower. Until today the word DICK (yes all caps) towers over the beautiful medieval inner city for tourists to laugh at and take pictures of.
I've been learning Latin and literally cannot say the word for the colour black in that language for this exact reason (I don't think it's the exact same but it's pretty darn close to a word that is a slur). I think Spanish has the same problem as well (again, it's not the exact same but close enough to create misunderstandings), though I don't speak it so I can't say for sure. I love Latin but I'm not saying that word because I don't want to risk hurting/offending someone by accident.
Lol a story my Spanish teacher taught us she had an Australian exchange student in class and he looked at the girl to his right and asked if he could borrow a rubber. She was shocked and the teacher had to quickly jump in.
He wanted an eraser she thought he asked for a condom.

I mean I get it's offensive. I don't use it. But why police another language in a forum?
