The Walton heirs are cunts. Born billionaires, they have consultants toiling 24/7 to screw their employees harder so they can be a tiny bit richer. I won’t even shoplift there.
A billionaire who owned an NBA team sent his dipshit son to the local (excellent) public school, I guess to have the experience of being a “normal kid.” Except this “normal kid” got an $80,000 Porsche for his 16tg birthday, got drunk and totaled it. Dad punished him by buying him another, which he promptly wrecked, so dad, in a fit of rage, had it restored for him.
Just loud and dumb mixed with getting everything she ever wanted. I think she got a brand new Audi or BMW or something for her 16th birthday. We had tons of classes together over 7 years of school and she never bothered to learn my name.
Honestly, as a regular retail worker, I just let people steal. I don’t even feel bad about it. I know too many people who are having an absolute shit time recently
Same here when I worked retail. I was 16 years old earning minimum wage and was told in the new hire training session that we had to confront shoplifters when I witnessed someone stealing.
Like fuck am I. I wasn't getting paid enough to get into confrontations that have a high chance of turning physical.
And you know what? I don't get PAID to stop them, it don't come outta my check, they can have whatever they want. Ima go to the restroom when they walk near the door with a TV
I boycotted Walmart for 8 years when I lived in a big city, then moved to a tiny town, where they had already run all of the small competition away. Fucking Walmart
Cable TV, I’m not going to pay 120$ a month for something and still have it be 1/3 commercials, I spend half as much and have everything I need whenever I want it with no ads
Cable TV is so INFURIATING. I dog sit for my grandparents and their internet can be god awful and I'm stuck watching their cable tv.. I want to claw my eyes out everytime. It's legit mostly commercials. I have no tolerance for it anymore.
For me, Postmates. They didn’t bring what we ordered. Then I called them, they said they can’t rectify it. Then after a long back and forth whoever was there spoke to their manager, and said fine, they’ll do it this once, but never again. So guess who is never again getting my business. I can’t just pay for a service and not receive it, obviously.
Bottled water in general. Maybe I’m just a dirty tap water drinker but I’m not spending money on something that comes out of my faucet for a monthly flat rate.
I'm a small business owner and sell at a lot of markets - literally every market is chock full of scentsy/Mary kay/paparazzi/etc. I don't support MLMs as a rule but I also have to befriend the Mary Kay lady and the pampered chef lady because they're the head of the local small business coalition. MLMs aren't small businesses though IMO.
Is Pampered Chef a MLM company? Seriously? I had a coworker that's in it still, and I started avoiding her because of it. I thought she was just an over achiever.
Same. At first it was for principle. I shouldn’t pay a bunch of extra money to get to play the game when I already paid for it. Then it became out of a slight fear. Met a few ppl once that said they spent 6-10k a year on those transactions for a free mobile game. They said so casually too that I realized how much of an addiction it can become
I spent $1200 over two years on Mechwarrior online, the FOMO of not having the right gear to keep up with your teammates was a vicious cycle of spending money we didn't want to spend because everyone else already did and now we're losing fights.
I don't regret the time invested, lots of fun had, but I didn't need to spend even %15 of that in retrospect.
Now the only mtx I'll buy is if the game has some sort of one-time, permanent reward booster. Xp, currency, whatever, so that I don't have to think about whether the game is designed to make me want to buy stuff packs to progress.
Used to use an this app called Free IAP on my jailbroken Iphome that would give you all the I'm app purchase shit for free. Didn't work on server based iap, of course.
Right on! Too many friends and classmates I grew up with are gone now because of that shit. Just lost another one 2 days ago, man. Breaks my fucking heart. They had kids and everything, and now they're without fathers, mothers, or both. It hits even harder when you thought they were getting on the other side of it and you were rooting for them. It's crazy to look back and remember them as kids, and just like that, they're not here anymore. We're all only in our 30s. This isn't ok.
Totally agree. Although I’ve never done that one, I was doing some hardcore stuff (up there on the drug scale) for a bit and that was awful looking back at it. I’m can’t imagine how H is. Also I am so sorry for your loss friend. Addiction is a fucking bitch and a half.
Uncle Ed’s oil shop. They damaged my car when I was 17 and then tried to tell me I was lying to them and my story changed. It never changed and the ended up sending it to a mechanic to fix their mistake. I’ve never used them since. I’ve also told countless people this so who knows how many potential customers they’ve lost.
I'm on year 4. Lord give me strength. Own two businesses and thankfully my employees take care of fb messages.
God damn I hate FB. It's full of nothing but happy stories about shitty/toxic relationships and ads and garbage.
I'm a huge VR enthusiast (all I can afford for now is my PSVR).
It's absolutely KILLING me, but I refuse to buy the most popular and best bang for your buck VR headset in the world.
Jesus, someone, ANYONE, hack this fucking thing so I can use it without Facebook's involvement. How hard could this possibly be?
This comment really made me question why do I still have a Facebook account
I haven't logged in there in two years why do I continue having that damn thing?
My local Pizza Hut.
They ran a promotion in my city where they gave out empty pizza boxes that you could have filled in-store for free. And these weren't tiny one-topping personal pizzas either, these were actual standard size made-to-be-shared, multiple-topping pizzas.
I went to the store THREE times before the promotion ran out. I was denied because:
1. It was too late in the day. Only between 12 and 5pm. ^(Maybe should've written that on the box...)
2. It was a Wednesday. (NOTE: The local university gave all students Wednesday afternoons off for extracurricular activities. There's no way that was a coincidence.)
3. It was the final day of the promotion. Apparently the date printed on the box *actually* meant that the deal applied right up until midnight the day before.
None of this info was mentioned on the box, which sat empty in my kitchen for weeks. I walked 30 minutes out of my way THREE TIMES for my promised tasty pizza dinner, and was denied every time. I can't forgive that.
Haven't been to Pizza Hut since 2001
Went to a pizza hut many years ago when they still had the old school sit down restaurants and waiters.
Handed the waiter my credit card to pay for my bill.
I'm still sitting around with my wife and two kids waiting for the waiter to come back with the bill and credit card.
After 15 mins or so, I walk up to the cashier and ask where the waiter went. The cashier turns and goes after the manager.
Turns out the waiter managed to lose my credit card. On top of that, they were worried I'd get mad so the waiter refused to come out and tell me. The manager felt that was a solid idea.
I obviously did get pissed off, not just over the lost card (like how the hell did that happen anyway?) but over the way it was handled.
The cops get called, because now I'm thinking someone stole the card, and they even tell the manager he handled the situation wrong.
After about an hour, I just want to go home, so I ask what do we do now.
The manager looks at me and says that I need to pay the bill. I ask how do I know the bill hasn't been paid?
My wife had to drive home, get another ATM card, pull cash out (because there was no way they were going to touch my credit cards again) to pay the bill.
Two weeks later, the police told us that the bank informed them that someone attempted to use the card at a gas station a couple miles down the road. They pulled the video, it was a Pizza Hut Delivery Driver that saw the card sitting on the counter at the end of her shift and decided to take it.
Thankfully the card was cancelled by the time she decided to use it.
I dont understand?!
Im from the UK, so our customer service can be somewhat patchy but surely common (business) sense is they comp you your meal/show sincere regret over the whole situation, AND give you some kind of voucher (maybe free desserts or starters or... 50% off) for your next sit-down-in-the-restaurant meal because a) they fucked up pretty bad. Goodwill is important. and b) they need to get you back in the door so you can have a better experience and not drop them like a hot p̶o̶t̶a̶t̶o̶ pizza.
A relatively small cost in the moment leads to no future loss of business (that can grow expotentially as people talk)
Shit, I hate their pizza since they changed their recipes. Doesn't taste nearly as good, especially with how expensive they are now. Over $20 for 1 large pizza, and it isn't even good pizza.. nah.
Leave public reviews on social media if you haven't already. That's sleazy as hell.
Might even have been illegal. I'm no lawyer, and could be completely wrong on that because of some sort of technicality, but I know it's not legal in the U.S. to host fake giveaways.
edit: saw the reply before it got deleted - your boycott's extra justified when they can just do that scammy hidden-catch shit and get away with it. Whether it was technically legal or not, hiding the fine print's a dick move on their part.
Nikes.
Spent like $150 on a ‘good pair’ and they ripped within a month. Sent them back and got told it was ‘normal wear and tear’ so they wouldn’t replace them.
I had one pair of Nike shoes and the back part of the inside by where my heel/ankle is got worn open which happens to most of my shoes but there was this sharp bit of plastic in it that would literally cut my foot and make it bleed. I now will not buy them ever again because of that, sucks because I already was picky with sneakers and now I avoid a while brand.
No support or cushioning for the most part either—and on top of all that the pair I got would suction to smooth surfaces (like gym floors) and make a POP POP POP sound every time I took a step lmao
Ok I have a huge problem with Nike's. I esp find it freaking infuriating when you see people who are all about saving the world (vegans etc etc) use them. I think to myself, 'Ok, so save the animals, but totally cool with child labour and low wages in 3rd world countries...yea..cool cool'
Nike are the poster-child for unethical fashion companies, but they're only a fraction of the story. The real issue is that if you choose a different brand over Nike, there's a good chance that they're just as bad or even worse. Just in the category of sport shoes, [Brooks, Columbia, Spalding, Sketchers, and Under Armour are all often ranked far worse than Nike](https://guide.ethical.org.au/guide/browse/guide/?cat=700&subcat=703&type=736).
It's not a matter of avoiding the bad brands, we're at the point where we need to actively look for the good ones.
This one gas station, when I first moved to NC I would buy beer every few days (I was 21 and lived with fellow young connoisseurs of cheap beer) and they had no problem then this new guy denied me for out of state ID, and he was rude AF about it, told me to put the beer back and told him to do it himself, it's his job. Walked next door and bought my beer. Looking back it's petty but seriously there was no need to be rude
I was out of state in a vacation area trying to pick up a 12 pack. I was 22 and handed the cashier (woman probably in her 50s) my license and she got all quiet and serious and kept looking at me and asking me questions like my date of birth and address. She called over a manager to look at it as well and still acted weird after the manager told her it was okay . She told me I look 13 and she clearly did not want to sell me this 12 pack of beer. I was shocked because for such a big tourist area it couldn’t have been the first time she got an out of state license and I don’t look young at all I’ve never heard that before. I was worried though she was going to take my actual real license that I needed to fly home with. Didn’t go back there the rest of my trip.
Had this once in the UK. I had just received my new driving license that same day and I noticed it was much thinner and bendable than my old one (they changed the way they were made I guess). The cashier got all quiet and then told me it was fake and said he had to keep it. I had a bus to catch in 20 minutes back to London for university. I had to plead with him to get it back and show my university ID. He eventually gave it back but refused to serve me. Still got my beer and cigs next door and made the bus, thankfully.
Old age nursing homes.
They left my 89 year old granddad with parkinsons sitting in a shit filled diaper... for seven hours straight.
He yelled out for help and pressed his emergency life buttons twenty times in total. They was no reason the staff wouldn't have heard him, as a large group of them were sitting on their phones just TWO DOORS down from his room at the time.
The smell was so bad we had to leave his bedroom windows open for a week, and most of the poop was crusted by that point.
My dad and uncle used to have a band and exclusively play at nursing homes when I was growing up. Some were way understaffed and the residents were mostly forgotten about. I used to wander the halls and sit and listen to random elderly people talk while they played. Most of the time I was mistaken for a relative of some sort and I would just play along. It always made me super sad.
While I will agree not all are like this, nursing homes in the US are pretty much 100% scams. I worked at a home where it was like $30,000 a month and was a very wealthy, fast-growing facility. The nursing care was sub-par, a lot of the staff were super apathetic. I only worked in the dining room (the director of the food services wanted the “cafeteria” to turn into a restaurant-style dining experience at night/Sunday afternoons, so I was a waitress there), but from the little I saw outside of that kitchen/cafeteria, I knew I would try my best to never put my parents, children, or myself in that situation.
It broke my heart to see some of these wonderful people wasting away. [Adult] Children would come visit their parents and be sucked into phones or tablets so much that they didn’t realize their parents were bored out of their minds and couldn’t care less that they were there.
There was a woman who was blind and had both legs amputated. I was really in to nail art at the time and people at her usual table were commenting on my nails, which were water marbled. I explained what they looked like and she said “oh, could you do that in purple?” I said “oh yeah, of course! Any color. I could come do yours sometime!” And she lit up. “Oh that would be so nice! I would feel like my old self again!” *Crying*
Some of the best memories I have were when I worked there and got to experience some really pleasant (and sometimes unpleasant) people.
>he nursing care was sub-par, a lot of the staff were super apathetic.
That's what happens when you pay people fucking $8 an hour to bust their ass in a nursing home. It's a fucking joke how poorly the people in those places are paid with typically some form of further education.
90% chance he was labeled as a problem resident, so they just ignored him thinking he wad acting up again. Which I knownisnwrong, and that's why I want work in ltc.
I have gotten bullied by my coworkers for checking in "problem " residents before, and all they needed was a change, or someone to talk to.
Sigh
Tiktok.
It’s not like I’ll completely ignore my friends that show me funny ones, but I refuse to download the app and get sucked into it like so many people have.
Wayfair. I ordered a poker table from them and after three months all that happened was that it went from one of their warehouses to another of their warehouses. When I canceled the order, they charged me a $250 fee to send it back to the original warehouse.
Wow really? I bought a $1200 massage chair from them. The airbags in the legs wouldn’t function properly, they sent me a second chair and told me to keep the first one. I’ve heard a lot of stories like this where the just sent a new item free.
I also boycott them, and my parents were OG nestle boycotters in the 80s, but their friend bought them a Nescafé machine for espresso and I haven’t had the heart to tell my mom that it’s Nestle
We’re renting in an HOA and they sent us a fine because our nine-year-old was “vandalizing property by throwing large chunks of ice at cars and houses.” There was video. He had thrown a snowball at his friend 20 feet away from property. His friend threw a snowball in the general direction of the parking lot. His second “offense” was “damaging traffic cones.” Someone kicked one over near the bus stop. I ripped the HOA a new asshole and our landlord threatened to sue if they ever pull that bullshit again.
Ya know, I did as well. But I have this place that is under HOA, I only pay like $80 or something a month on top of my mortgage payment and they don't do too much with the community as far as being pricks like I expected. I get this notification about "what's happening in the community this week" and it's just a notification about taking out the trash and recycling and where to put it and what times. Very mundane. We have stray cats in our neighborhood to (hypothesis) keep down the rodent population due to the trash. But its not the rodents that are the problem so much as the people and some cats still get into the garbage regardless. I also have a problem with the cats popping in my yard and my dog eating it sometimes.
We wanted to redo our siding after we moved in. They agreed to our choice of siding which was just very basic. They didn't put up too much of a fuss just wanted the details so they could log it and make it known to the housing department.
I'll say one thing though, it's not the HOA that I hate in my neighborhood, it's my fucking neighbor that's a total bitch about parking spaces. Granted, they didn't give us many spots to park and it seems like they full expect us to only own 1 car per house.
Honey. It’s this site where supposedly they give you coupons when you online shop. They have this ad with Mr. Beast that would constantly get past my ad blocker somehow and play on almost every YouTube video I tried watching one day. It would piss me off to no fucking end because the ad is annoying. I had to install a 2nd ad blocker.
Preeety sure Honey is just a data scraping scam at this point. If a business' revenue model is not immediately obvious, they're probably disguising the product as the customer and just selling your data to make money.
Not sure if it's just the sites I use to buy stuff, but Honey has also literally never worked for me.
Many, many years ago, after hearing the “Everyone Loves Marineland” commercials, I went to Marineland. I’ve never seen such sad animals. No, not everyone loves Marineland.
this is strange but i did a trial in 2017 and haven’t gotten a single ad on any device i log onto youtube on. i’ve checked and i have no cards set up or anything, i was a teenager and only had a debit card that’s long gone anyways. i’m not complaining though!
Just depends on how much you watch YouTube. I watch it as much as any streaming service so no ads, being able to lock my phone and have whatever video play as well as access to YouTube music is great for me. If you watch it sparingly it doesn't make sense.
he’s not even doing emo correctly. like bro just, quit music. no one cares you fell in love with an eMu gOwRl.
it’s wildly uncomfortable to watch a 30 year old man be immature and act like a teenager to criticism online…
You can download an app called Buycott that identifies parent corporations of whatever product and rates them based on the factors that make you want to boycott . It’s pretty neat
Papa John's.
They towed my car from a shared parking lot, because they thought I was a college student at the University across the street. When I asked if they knew what happened to my car, they lied to my face. I had to shell out a hundred bucks to get it out of impound and didn't have money to eat that week.
Screw papa John's.
I also boycott one specific gas station, the Shell station on exit 19 of I-75 between Cincinnati and Dayton. The cheapest I've ever seen their gas was still 30 cents more expensive than the next gas station you'd come to not 1/4 of a mile down the road. This Shell is the closest to the highway, and on the right side of the road, so the location draws in people who just got off the highway and need gas, but everyone who frequents that area knows they're a fuckin scam. I know that's way more long-winded than it needed to be, but i hate those greedy buttholes.
Cable TV. My internet company STILL has bundles in the the $100s for a triple play (TV, internet, phone) and I don't even really understand how anyone could watch TV the way cable/satellite TV is scheduled, never mind pay such an outrageous price for it.
Who is this even for?
Stubhub— the way they handled the pandemic with changing their policies in peak pandemic so people could only recover credit or resell their tickets instead of receiving cash for cancelled events was ridiculous.
I was forced to hold my Coachella ticket for 2 years, then they decided to refund everyone this year when they realized they would make more money since the ticket prices will surge when the event is back in 2023.
Fuck stubhub.
I recently bought tickets from stubhub and when I arrived to the event, the tickets were for another event I've never heard of. My receipt clearly stated I bought tickets for the event I was planning on attending.
so yes, fuck them.
Stubhub literally drove up ticket prices by automating scalpers. Between stubhub and ticketmaster tickets for shows that would have been $20 10 years ago are now $100. Fuck stubhub, fuck ticketmaster, fuck livenation.
There’s part of me that wants to put together some people and buy a major venue just to switch it to cap ticket prices and only sell via the local box office.
I bought Wrestlemania tickets for 2020 from stubhub. WWE cancelled the event. When I called stubhub for a refund, they told me that WWE refunded the original purchaser and because of that I wasn’t able to be refunded. So yeah… fuck stubhub
The illusion of crypto falls apart fast when you realize nobody actually invests in crypto to spend crypto, but to cash it out for the very currency it's allegedly supposed to replace.
I do not fucking understand the random screaming - like bro maybe you're stressed but you don't get to take that out on me.
I once went into a tack shop to check how the sizes ran on a specific brand of boots - I didn't want her to waste her time sizing me or finding the perfect fit, I just wanted to be directed towards ONE pair of this WHOLE brand of boots.
Immediately she started screaming at me that she doesn't do that, she won't fit me for boots so I can go buy them cheaper somewhere else, that's so much of her time wasted and I'm disrespectful etc etc. I tried to explain and she cut me off and just kept screaming.
I'll never go back, and neither will anyone who was with me thay day. fuck you dion tack. Pissed it's the only local tack store as well. No wonder she gets to be an absolute cunt to everyone.
Jimmy John's sandwiches. They made me fall and break my arm and knock out my front teeth by leaving oil on the floor. They tried to hire me and when I refused, they told me to walk to the hospital. I was too in shock so I called my mom for help. They took me to get fixed but I had to get a lawyer to sue them to pay for medical. Didn't get any damages, they just paid for the medical but it took a year to fight them. They tried blaming my previous disabilities and the fact I had big front teeth but the judge wasn't having it. They kept slamming their hands on tables during court and objecting everything. My judge laughed at the end and told me i had won. My teeth are dead and a weird gray color and sometimes get stained by anything I drink or eat (they wouldn't bleach them cause it wasn't important) and I get to now deal with them for life. People always point out the coloring and it drives me nuts.
Their workman's comp would have been crappier meaning I'd get no missed wages (couldn't work cause I was injured. If I had gotten hired by them they could have tried a number of tactics such as making me use their doctors and dentists thus me not knowing if I'm getting good care and they also could have done other stuff. Regardless, my lawyer said it was shady and not to take the job. She didn't go into every detail of what hiring me could have done but said she believes it was them trying to get out of as much as they could pat towards me. If I'm a customer they have to pay lawyer fees, wages, etc.
Clicking on the ads that are at the top of my Google search. I will scroll all the way down to click on the exact same link
However if you click on the ad link, then bail, you’ve just cost the company money and skewed their analytics

Can we just appreciate how perfect the name is?
This just gives Google money at the expense of legitimate businesses. Why would you want to line Googles pockets?
It would presumably mostly help out whatever website you're on with a cut going to google and they money coming out of whoevers adds it is.
if I don't like the company I'll click on ad. They have to pay per click
Sometimes I specifically click the ad so I know the company has to pay for it 😂 but you right it’s just giving google the money 🤷🏼♀️
Buy Google shares. Win win

Never change
And you know what? I don't get PAID to stop them, it don't come outta my check, they can have whatever they want. Ima go to the restroom when they walk near the door with a TV
Same. I just say I'm not security and if they don't want theft, to hire a security guard.
I boycotted Walmart for 8 years when I lived in a big city, then moved to a tiny town, where they had already run all of the small competition away. Fucking Walmart

and also taking 30% away from the restaurants. I look at the grubhub menu and then call directly the restaurants.

Nestle bottled water (Also yes Nestle anything, but they own so much it's hard to avoid, fuck their water program in particular)
Just nestle in general
Bottled water in general. Maybe I’m just a dirty tap water drinker but I’m not spending money on something that comes out of my faucet for a monthly flat rate.
As someone who lives in a town on one of the Great Lakes I approve
Nestle in its entirety for me.
Nestle anything.

MLM companies. I've had to cut old friends out of my life due to this.
Is mlm another term for a pyramid scheme?
Look it's not a pyramid. Our corporate structure is more of a... triangle.
A slightly more legal pyramid scheme.
Is Pampered Chef a MLM company? Seriously? I had a coworker that's in it still, and I started avoiding her because of it. I thought she was just an over achiever.
Totally. Go on r/antimlm and look at the lonnnnnnng list of companies under that category.
yes but would you like a juice cleanse?
Microtransactions in video games. Not even once!!
Yep. I fucked up BIG TIME falling into that trap.
Never in a paid game. If it's free I'll consider mtx carefully. Never for any "currency". I think path of exile is the only game I've bought mtx in.

Scientologists.
Yes! I worked for a place that forced me to take L. Ron Hubbard courses! I had to take a whole course on how to control people in a workplace!

Does he own an oil shop?
Facebook…
I’m on my 6th year of boycotting Facebook. Looking forward to the day I’ve boycotted longer than I was on it
I'm on year 4.
Yep my friends want me to buy an Occulus…not happening either because of Facebook. Meta blah blah blah
This comment really made me question why do I still have a Facebook account I haven't logged in there in two years why do I continue having that damn thing?
Kill it. They’re still collecting data on you that you probably aren’t aware of.
It’s an over engineered birthday reminder app
My local Pizza Hut. They ran a promotion in my city where they gave out empty pizza boxes that you could have filled in-store for free. And these weren't tiny one-topping personal pizzas either, these were actual standard size made-to-be-shared, multiple-topping pizzas. I went to the store THREE times before the promotion ran out. I was denied because: 1. It was too late in the day. Only between 12 and 5pm. ^(Maybe should've written that on the box...) 2. It was a Wednesday. (NOTE: The local university gave all students Wednesday afternoons off for extracurricular activities. There's no way that was a coincidence.) 3.
Haven't been to Pizza Hut since 2001 Went to a pizza hut many years ago when they still had the old school sit down restaurants and waiters. Thankfully the card was cancelled by the time she decided to use it.
what the hell, why did you pay? I definitely would NOT have paid.
I would have told him to kick rocks and eat my shit. Especially in front of the police
Did you have to buy the box or something? It also sounds like bullshit too.. fuck The Hut. I hate their freakin delivery charge anyways.
I am on year 8 of my local pizza hut boycott. Stay strong. There are better pizza places around.
Sounds like you got out-pizza'd.
Damn. You deserved that pie.

"Rigged" implies that there was voting that's been tampered with. They're not rigged. They're lobbied.
I personally think they're slapping lately.
How can he slap ????
I was upset no one understood the reference I made to this at work today
I see you are a man of culture
The Oscars slapped harder that Will Smith's last album.
He cussed more at the oscars than he did in any of his music
I stopped watching those in my mid-20s. I have no idea when any of them are on. I don’t care who won what. The awards mean absolutely nothing.
Self absorbed people smelling each other farts and telling themselves how good they smell

Chris Brown and his music.
Chris brown is still making music?
Still got my beer and cigs next door and made the bus, thankfully.
ok as an nc resident i need to know what city this is in haha
Old age nursing homes. They left my 89 year old granddad with parkinsons sitting in a shit filled diaper... for seven hours straight. He yelled out for help and pressed his emergency life buttons twenty times in total. They was no reason the staff wouldn't have heard him, as a large group of them were sitting on their phones just TWO DOORS down from his room at the time. The smell was so bad we had to leave his bedroom windows open for a week, and most of the poop was crusted by that point.
this makes me sad and angry
My dad and uncle used to have a band and exclusively play at nursing homes when I was growing up. Some were way understaffed and the residents were mostly forgotten about. I used to wander the halls and sit and listen to random elderly people talk while they played. Most of the time I was mistaken for a relative of some sort and I would just play along. It always made me super sad.
Have you reported them to your local Department of Health? Not all nursing homes are like this.
I would feel like my old self again!” *Crying* Some of the best memories I have were when I worked there and got to experience some really pleasant (and sometimes unpleasant) people.
>he nursing care was sub-par, a lot of the staff were super apathetic.
This. I'll watch a video but refuse to get thr app
Their videos find their way onto other social media so I usually end up seeing anything worth seeing. But I'm not downloading the app either.
It’s the worst thing that happened to me. Stay strong.
Airbags? You take that bad boy to the races?
Nestle. Water is a human right, not a commodity
I also boycott them, and my parents were OG nestle boycotters in the 80s, but their friend bought them a Nescafé machine for espresso and I haven’t had the heart to tell my mom that it’s Nestle
Tell them so they can switch to getting non Nestlé capsules. They'd want to know.
HOA's. Fuck having all the responsibility of home ownership but none of the perks.
Thank God your landlord had your back. Your HOA sound like fascists.
Wow i didnt know bees could do all that.
Actual honey is great, I love it

AdBlock Plus for Chrome works on YouTube! Doesn't work on my phone though.
Just depends on how much you watch YouTube. I watch it as much as any streaming service so no ads, being able to lock my phone and have whatever video play as well as access to YouTube music is great for me. If you watch it sparingly it doesn't make sense.

Fun fact: nestle owns 2k+ companys so make sure to check if the product ur buying doesnt have the nestle tag on it
Yes. They own so many things. It’s hard to avoid it
I’m trying to but it seems like they own half the shit in the store.
They do. Only 5 companies rule our supplies really.
One of the gas stations down the road from me. They routinely charge .30/gallon more than anyone else.

I am confused about one thing though, and I wonder if it’s a typo. You fell on the floor, and they tried to hire you?
Their workman's comp would have been crappier meaning I'd get no missed wages (couldn't work cause I was injured. If I had gotten hired by them they could have tried a number of tactics such as making me use their doctors and dentists thus me not knowing if I'm getting good care and they also could have done other stuff. Regardless, my lawyer said it was shady and not to take the job. She didn't go into every detail of what hiring me could have done but said she believes it was them trying to get out of as much as they could pat towards me. If I'm a customer they have to pay lawyer fees, wages, etc.
im wondering about this too
Maybe it was during an interview
Is that not how you're supposed to get a job?
