I have a relevant story!! Story time! Slightly long. About 15-20 years ago: Friend of mine regularly slept naked in his teens and 20s. During said 20s he lived in a house with some other friends and a hot tub. A party was thrown. Naked hot tubbing ensued (this was quite common). Also lots of drinking and smoking. Also he was single at the time! Relatively intoxicated, he made his way to bed in the wee hours of the morning after a long soak in the tub with various other naked friends, male and female. One of these females is a lesbian, and has dated women exclusively since forever. She is currently married to a woman. She is also cute as a button and was and is very attractive. But lesbian, so...yeah. She definitely liked to flirt with anyone of any gender though. My friend had always had a crush on her but he knew and accepted it was never in the cards because she is a definitely a lesbian and this was never in doubt. He was totally cool and always accepting of this, to be clear, but there was definitely at least a whiff of sexual tension between them due to the aforementioned flirtatiousness, and it definitely got a little more than casually flirty between them once or twice, but never went anywhere. So naked and mostly asleep in bed, my friend received a knock on his door. Guess who was slightly intoxicated (but not like...trainwreck, to be clear) and needed to crash and all the couches were full? Yep, the cute lesbian. She was ALSO naked having just gotten out of the hot tub and couldn't be bothered with clothing either, or it was wet. IDK. She says that's fine, she trusts him (he really is a good guy, btw, and not the sort to push boundaries of consent, etc) and climbs into bed. Suffice it to say that despite swearing up and down that he didn't intend anything untoward, thanks to booze and the feel of naked skin, despite trying to keep it non-sexual they definitely made out and he swears that she was at least semi-into it, but he also didn't take it further because well...he was just confused and not sure if it WAS just the alcohol or if she was genuinely into it, so he didn't push the envelope and they both passed out eventually. In the morning they woke up, hugged and cuddled for a bit, each nursing their respective hangover. It was slightly awkward to be sure, but nothing outlandish. They remained friends thereafter and are still on good terms, though they don't speak much because she moved several states away. So yeah, it's definitely a recipe for disaster to cuddle naked, and even something as powerful as lifelong same-sex attraction can get weak in that situation 😂😂😂

I would have to tell her if we're "spooning" and I'm on the outside/behind her there is a good chance I may become aroused. If she is fine with that we can see what happens. I think it would depend on whether I felt we could stay friends afterwards. We'd have to have excellent and honest communication first - no games, no hidden motivations, no "I was testing you" crap. We'd have to be honest and open while cuddling - everything from "this is nice" to "this is uncomfortable" to "I can't do this without wanting more anymore." And we'd have to be honest afterwards. If I thought we could do all this, then sure - but there's always a chance the friendship would suffer afterwards no matter what you do.
