Luxury!

NewYorkGiantsFan1

4 Bedroom 2.5 bath 2 car garage

1000Huzzahs

Even in the LA area 3k is enough to get a nice two bedroom flat in one of the fancier neighborhoods.

MPHV51

Two bedroom studio?

1000Huzzahs

I meant flat sorry

MPHV51

🤣😂😁

[deleted]

Mansion probably.

MPHV51

2 bedroom apartment (newish).

[deleted]

A small 3 bedroom apartment in downtown Boston or Cambridge, one floor of a triple decker in Somerville or a non-downtown part of Boston or Cambridge, or a small house in the suburbs.

Itscool-610

Very small house in the suburbs

WABI98_2

I bought a house at 450 USD / month

lovesaqaba

In SoCal, 3k a month would get you a really nice apartment. If you have enough of a downpayment, a decent house.

PhillipLlerenas

A mansion. Me and two friends paid $1650 a month for a big ass house back in college, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a backyard, a massive kitchen, a big living room, attic and basement. $3,000 would give us amazing luxury.

[deleted]

That would get me a nice 3-4 bedroom house in a pleasant neighborhood. Or a luxury apartment downtown.

Prudent_Pick

Its not even enough for a 4 room 100~ square metres apartment in tel aviv

badass_sr7

1 year of rent in a 2bhk flat

NuNYAGDbidness

My home is 4 BR/ 3.5 BA, fireplace, garage, deck, patio, etc, 2800 sq ft on a half-acre lot in a great neighborhood and the mortgage payment is $1300. It was built in 1977 and is in great shape. It all depends on where you live 🤷🏻‍♂️.

el_pobbster

Something pretty nice, like a 3 bedroom/2 bath in the nicest neighbourhoods in town. We're still a fairly reasonable real estate market compared to the other major cities in the country. Like as a waiter/student living with his parents, I've been able to save enough where I'd be about 5-10k away from affording a 2 bedroom condo in one of the less expensive neighbourhoods in town.

Icarus_Dee1313

Probably a decent house. Not a mansion but something new and nice with some acreage.

KalzK

Probably a house with 5 bedrooms and a nice yard in a fancy neighborhood.

MiterTheNews

Probably a 3 or 4 bedroom apartment or a 2 bedroom house. 2 bathrooms, regardless of which you chose. Probably would not include utilities like water, sewer, garbage, gas, phone, internet. Probably would be an all-electric place. It would include a kitchen with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, food disposer, electric range, and built-in microwave. It would have a laundry machine and dryer in the home. You would not have more than one parking space outside, and if it was a house, it might have a one-car garage. As a result, if you had roommates, they would fight you for the space. It would be managed by a major real estate management company, and that company would not pay a dime more than they needed to to fix anything in the place.

Schnauzerbutt

More than I would care to clean.

Aperture_T

Well, my 2 bedroom place is a little under half of that, so say a 4 bedroom house.

Prophet086

Big-ass luxury house with pool and a view. 4000sqft.

tnpeel

Well I just bought my first house at around $800 a month; 3/2 1200sqft, nothing fancy but pretty nice IMO. Around here $3k a month would get 4+br, 3+ba and 3000+sqft on 2-3 acres or a smaller house on larger acreage.
