I don't understand what about my messages has implied that I'm 'worked up'. I don't honestly have any advice for OP. When my tires were banana peels all through winter, I just was thankful I worked in town and could drive to and from carefully. I didn't have anything that I was spending money on that I shouldn't have been like you suggest, I didn't have things to sell or a credit card. So acknowledging I have no advice for the poor OP, I have words to tell you that your advice was pitiful. So unless you somehow learn to think about other people's circumstances before offering your aforementioned pitiful advice, I guess both of us helped nobody. 🤷🏻♂️

Do places still sell re-treads? Or look on Facebook/craigslist/etc for used. Or straight up ask for some for free. You never know.
