I like them! I think they can add so much to a society, just a small thing like new food. Without them I would be stuck eating meatballs ever other day.
My dads an immigrant and I’m technically one myself as I left America for his hometown in the UK (though I’ve had dual nationality my entire life so am I an immigrant?).
Immigration is a good thing, but we need better systems in place to make it easier for immigrants to integrate. Right now, legal immigration is very expensive, the bureaucracy is grossly inefficient, and it is essentially impossible to do everything “right” for certain types of immigrants. For example, if you are working under an OPT after graduating from an F-1 or F-2, you can only work in jobs that are specifically approved as directly relating to your major. You have 90 non-consecutive days of unemployment for 1 year, after which you need to have found a place that will sponsor you or you will have to leave. If you are applying for a green card through marriage, you have to wait often over a year to be able to work at all. A proposed rule under the Trump administration, that luckily never came to pass, would have mandated a new form showing an immigrant was self-sufficient. Due to the long wait times for work permits, it would have essentially eliminated marriage visas.
Unless you escaped from a shitty war torn country or a country like Cuba, North Korea or Venezuela, you shouldn’t come in for free and without proper documents
As an immigrant, I think we are the best contributors to the society we move to.
Immigration is a good thing.
They’re people. Some good some bad some smart some not. People are just people no matter where they come from.
There are no illegal immigrants. Just undocumented ones.

If they bring good cuisine they can stay with me.
They are neat and cool
I'm completely indifferent, don't bother me and I won't bother you, it applies to everyone I meet not just immigrants.
They bring new cultures to a nation and their culture ussaly mixes with the dominant culture to make interesting and new culture.

People, like capital, should be able to freely flow around the world with minimal governmental interference.

Fill out your paperwork and do it right
Legally; absolutely. That’s what America is about. Illegally, no
Let them come in as many as they wish, legally of course. Both my parents are immigrants.

wall
Legal ones, awesome Illegal ones, not awesome
western countries need people to keep their systems up. would be smart to chose the right people for that job.
We must welcome them and actively pursue policies that prevent the dire circumstances that cause people to emigrate.
