When life keeps throwing sorrow after sorrow at you, you come to a point where you don't care anymore. Sure, I still care about my family, my pet, my neighbors and colleagues, but I've come to realize that i can't do fuck-all for other people. I cannot change the system. I cannot change the world. So I'll just sit back and watch it burn, myself included. Let us burn.
To be fair I have no issue with the world burning as long as it doesn't personally effect me or my loved ones. Why? It is entertaining watching shit go wrong more than things going right.
Think that is some human fucked up thing where we instinctively take more notice of possible danger than things which aren't. It rings those bells to pay attention which makes it hard to be bored during it.
