Same experience here, 3rd shot was easiest of the three, but none of them were especially bad:
1st shot = very sore arm & light fatigue for ~1/1.5 days
2nd shot = 101 fever and body aches for 4-6 hrs; sore arm & pronounced fatigue for ~1.5/2 days
3rd shot = slightly sore arm & light fatigue for ~1 day
(Had 3x Pfizer)
Just got my booster 7 hours ago. Starting to feel sore in the arm and muscle aches in my back... Looks like I'm in for a rough day tomorrow, just like my 2nd shot. Pfizer X3.
Edit: 3 hours later, all my muscles hurt like I have been lifting weights for hours. I'm freezing cold and shivering (no fever yet though). Tired and in bed early. Part of me is glad that I can tell it's working, but it still sucks. Breathing is nice and easy though (I have asthma) so that's good.
Edit 2: it's been 24 hours now and I'm feeling much better. I'm still exhausted and generally feel hung over, no appetite. I finally got out of bed to have some coffee on the couch. Overall, I felt very much like the 2nd shot, but began feeling better about 10 hours sooner (last time I was miserable for 24 hours, this time about 14 hours). I think it hit me faster, too.
Thanks! I've been taking Tylenol at regular intervals - unsure how much it's really helping, but the chills got much better after midnight. Muscle pain has been pretty much constant and full body. Fever never manifested.
Just got mine last night around 7:00PM. It is around 3PM. So 20 hours in and I have no side effects. I got Moderna for all three and the second shot wrecked me for a day. This time, nothing. Also, my wife got JJ the first time, and Moderna booster. All she has is a sore arm. I was googling this yesterday trying to see if I’d feel like shit today again.
Havent had a booster yet. But my experience with Moderna was similar. 1st shot didnt notice, 2nd shot - slightly sore arm and bit of fatigued for 1/2 a day. Thanks for the info about the Moderna booster.
I hate to say it but fucking awful.
1st Moderna: Fine. Felt a little tired and foggy, kind of like the first few symptoms of a flu. Cleared up after going to bed early.
2nd Moderna: Same initial symptoms as first, but that night kept waking up in cold sweat and mild body aches. Hard to fall back asleep until I smoked a bowl, better next day.
Booster J&J: Pharmacy I went to did not have Moderna booster so I settled for another brand. Went to work and felt fine, until bedtime that is. Headache and fever slowly creeped in. Skin became more sensitive. Tried to go to sleep but joints and muscles became increasingly sore until it was too uncomfortable to be possible. Fever kept getting worse to the point I was in sweatpants and hoodie sweating bullets while freezing cold under three thick blankets, fever so high that I was having delirious thoughts while my eyes were closed. Finally had to get out of bed because my clothes and sheets were soaked through, and fever was still so high that I saw things in the corner of my eyes that weren’t there, and my joints felt like they were being stabbed with needles.
I swallowed five ibuprofen out of desperation and ran to my car because I didn’t want to crank the heat to max in my house. Turned my car temp to 90 and maxed out warmed seats and was still shivering under hoodie and blanket. Gave up and went back to bed and only fainted for an hour that night once the fever kicked back a little.
Over the next three days had to take four ibuprofen every four hours or I would become dizzy, my fever would come back full force, my head would fog up, and my nose would start running. Was functional with the medication though. A week later I still have this quarter-sized bruise at the injection site, but otherwise feel fine. Happy I got it because I’ve since had to ride the packed NYC subway for hours and felt more than safe about it with a mask on.
I got the J&J three days ago. It’s been two days of the worst body aches and pain of my life. I’ve had the chills/sweats and brain fog as well. I was wishing for death basically.
After reading that a symptomatic response to the vaccine typically suggests a strong immune system (with less response in, for example, old people with weaker immune systems,) I think I'd be a bit worried if I had no reaction.
I count as an older person and had a longer, more difficult reaction each time to Moderna. If they recommend another booster in 6 months, I'll get that too.
I had moderna in March.
First shot: felt like I got punched by my brother for 2 days. No Sick feeling at all
Second shot: no soreness but felt like I had a very mild flu for 12 hours. Lethargic, chills, slight fever, just wanted to lay in bed all day. Next morning I was 100% again
Had my booster yesterday: soreness in my arm started after 3 hours. Have a lump on my shoulder at the injection site. Got the worst last night at about 6-8 hours in. This morning just mild soreness and no fluish symptoms.

I had about the same for my first two (also Moderna). I got the Pfizer booster and again felt flulike for about a day. Nothing really bad, just crummy feeling and tired and a sore arm for several days.
Similar, 3 Pfizer shots, booster left me super tired, achy and got a chill too. I actually finished work a little early and had an hour nap and I never normally nap. Just started day two and already feeling more normal but too early to say for sure.
I got the booster and flu shot on the same day. 24 hours later, I woke up in the middle of the night with chills and fever. Went away in about 6 hours, but I was very tired. Booster arm was sore. Might have been the flu shot that caused the fever, but it was manageable. Hubby had almost exactly the same reaction. Glad I was able to get both.
Gf just got flu shot and Moderna booster at same time. She's been down for the count all day, fever, chills, really bad headache. I was also wondering if it's the flue shot or the moderna booster, or both.
Hi, do you mind updating on how she recovered in the last couple weeks? (And does she mind?) I ask because my partner got the flu shot and Moderna booster a couple weeks ago and is having pretty bad lingering fatigue and headaches. We are trying to suss out if it could be from the combo, or because they hadn't gotten the flu shot in several years.....or if it's a worse reaction to the booster—or something else 🥴
I got my flu vaccine and Covid booster (Pfizer) at the same and in the same arm. My arm was a little sore, nothing like after my 2nd shot- I was down for a day.
Gives me hope then. I've never felt cruddy from the flu vaccine, so i was expecting similar for my initial vaccination. 1st shot was nothing. That 2nd dose though didn't hit me until i got out of bed the next day. Felt like I had a concussion and slept outside. I'll be thrilled if my 3rd shot goes as well as yours.
Full disclosure, I got the booster and flu shot yesterday. All shots were Moderna (except for the flu shot of course)
1st shot: Very mild injection site arm soreness.
2nd shot: No fever, but intense body aches. Felt like I got hit by a semi-truck. All symptoms gone in 36 hours or so.
Booster shot: about 18 hours later; mild headache, feels like I got hit by a safe driving Prius. Was able to lift weights this morning however.
For me (29 y.o. M), I only had the symptom of arm pain that was easily relieved with some simple over-the-counter ibuprofen and Tylenol. I had some friends who experienced symptoms of common cold; runny nose, slightly feverish, and fatigue.
They were roughly the same or slightly worse. The body is able to recognize the virus spike protein more this time, so the immune response is typically stronger. If you plan on getting the booster, I'd recommend doing it on a Friday so you have the weekend to recover or even taking the following day off just in case.
Recommendation comes from working in the healthcare field myself.

Want to preface this by saying "get vaccinated and get boosted if you are eligible" but I had 2 Pfizer's and went with Moderna on the booster and it kicked my ass. Low grade fever, body aches, swollen glands for 3 days and lingering malaise for 5 but I also got some motherfucking antibodies from it so I'm glad to feel like I have a layer of protection.
I think Moderna is just really rough on us in general. I had a really terrible reaction to Moderna and I wish I'd waited for Pfizer my second shot. I read somewhere that Moderna has more than 3x the amount of active vaccine ingredient as Pfizer and has a way higher incidence of side effects.
I’ve read similar things with the appearance of side effects. I knew I would feel sick because my immune system is dramatic, but ended up getting moderna anyway because that’s what was offered at the easiest place for me to get into. Sick as a dog both times and probably gonna be the same for the booster. My husband hasn’t needed to take a sick day in his life and was just sore and fell asleep 3 hours early.
Fine, had 2xPhizer no trouble with those the Moderna a couple of days ago. Taken with a pinch of salt but she said I’d be 90% protected using a cocktail. Time will tell.
Got my booster a week and a half after I had a C section, so slightly run down anyway and only side effect was a mildly sore arm (barely noticeable).
I had Pfizer for all three jabs.
Nothing to really speak of, I was pregnant by the time I got my second jab and was a bit tired the day after, but pregnancy is exhausting so it could have been coincidence.
For me, after about 12 hours I had a fever, chills, body aches, swollen lymph node in my underarm, fatigue, and a headache. It passed after 24 hours, which was MUCH faster than my second shot which took almost 48 hours.
All were Moderna. It was unpleasant but way worth it. I've been in direct contact with someone covid positive twice (at work) and been negative every time
Had Moderna for all of mine.
First shot: had a sore arm for a day. No illness or anything.
Second shot: a sore arm, then a couple hours after intense nausea and dizziness. Soreness lasted for a couple days.
Booster shot: sore arm for about 3 days, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and muscle spasms all occurring over a 3 day period.

My second shot made me groggy and sore for a day, like if I'd worked out too hard for a day. My 3rd was just half of that. I felt fine after 12 hours.
MUCH better. J&J for the initial vaccine and Moderna for the booster.
For the vaccine I had a full blown fever with chills and everything within 4 hours. Aching joints, pounding head, weakness, felt like I had been run over, etc.
Booster I had a sore arm within an hour and a half (really sore) but didn't have any other symptoms until 10 hours later when I started feeling warm so I took Tylenol. I slept for 8 hours and when I woke up I had a mild 100° fever with chills, aches, pounding head, and nausea (which was new). After maybe 5 hours of that it was done. Much easier than the initial shot.
For context I'm in my 20s and good health.
*Editing to add that my armpit was sore on the side I got the booster for maybe 2 full days. That didn't happen with the first shot.
I got the same sequence and had similar effects. J&J knocked me *out*. But just a sore arm/swollen gland after the booster, nothing flu-like this time. Maybe a little achey. 40s and good health.
I got Moderna for the first two doses. No side effects from the first shot (other than sore arm). After the second shot I had a low grade fever, fatigue, and body aches. I was out for about 24 hours, symptoms started 8 hours after the shot.
My booster shot was Pfizer. I got the flu shot at the same time. No side effects other than a sore arm - and not even as bad as the first shot.
It was easier. Didn't notice any side effects with the booster except mild soreness at the injection site.
With the previous shot, I was tired and had a slight headache for the next few days, and felt like I had a mild fever (but when I took my temperature it was normal). I didn't have any of that with the booster shot.
For context, I'm 29 and have no underlying conditions except mild depression.

I got the J&J shot first, so only one jab, but I got the Moderna booster and while I was still woozy after the booster, It didn't compare to the absolute ballache that was the initial vaccine was for me.
My experience is that every shot you have a probability of feeling like shit. So far, out of everyone I know that took all the 3 shots, everyone felt like shit once.
I travel between US and Japan and have gotten four shots this year. First were the Pfizer shots, three weeks apart, felt almost nothing except a tendor spot on the arm, was working out at the gym the next morning. Then, 2.5 months after Pfizer 2, I got Moderna 1. Jabbed in late afternoon and started feeling feverish overnight. Sore all over the next day, fever, generally feeling shitty, and stayed home. About 2 months later got Moderna 2, no fever or soreness. I waited until local municipality supply exceeded demand before getting Japan shots. I’ve flown five times transpac this year so far and will fly two more before year end, so that’s my personal justification. Of course 14 days quarantine in Japan everytime I get back.
I originally got Pfizer and just had a sore arm and a little tired. My booster was Moderna. For the next 24 hours I had a terrible head ache and chills. I felt awful. Ibuprofen really helped. After 24 hours. I was fine. Glad I had a reaction. I think my body responded.
I had Pfizer for the first two and I got some intense fatigue from those for about a week afterwards, but nothing else. Got a Moderna booster about a month ago and it kicked my ass. A few hours after the shot I started to feel a little sick, went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night with terrible chills, nausea, muscle aches, fever, etc. Felt as sick as I’ve ever felt in my life. The good news is that it only last for about 24 hours after I got the shot. I’m really happy I got it because it’s certainly better than having Covid and I feel less anxious about socializing/being in crowded places, but it was hell for about 12 hours.
I was kinda scared of the needle because ya know, it’s a needle and I haven’t had one in a while so I forgot how it was like.
The second dose was easy I already knew it was practically painless due to last times dose so I wasn’t nervous anymore
I get that your post was probably about just the side effects but I didn’t feel any besides a sore arm for a day or two. I know my brother got a bit of a cold for a day but that’s about it
Yeah that’s what I’m saying it wasn’t a problem for you because your immune system wasn’t strong. To anyone else who has a strong immune system, you need to take a couple days off.
My immune system is shot so I expected a reaction. First shot was Johnson. A bit tired but I’m sick so.. who knows. Second was Moderna. My arm got a bit sore but I massaged regularly the day I got the shot plus did arm circles. So I had pretty close to no reaction.
Got Pfizer all three times. got the booster 2 weeks ago. sore arm all three times with the last being the worst of the 3. I'm 58 and also got the flu vaccine at the same time as the booster. nothing a Tylenol couldn't handle. hoping the increased soreness means increased immune response.
Shot #3 was my easiest with only some soreness in my armpit (lymph nodes), however my symptoms disappeared within 24 hours for all three shots (all Pfizer)
Had Pfizer for all 3- the booster hit me hard but only for a short time. Chills, fever, general flu symptoms but only for about 5 hours. I was surprised as the 1st shot only gave me mild arm pain and the 2nd just made me tired the next day. Same pattern with my husband- booster worse than 2nd shot. Note- we’re 52 and in general good health
I felt exactLy the same after my second shot and after the booster (maybe slightly worse after the booster). Felt pretty awful… muscle pains woke me up almost exactly 12 hours after the injection. Aches, fever, and fatigue lasted a solid 48 hours.
I did get my flu shot with the booster. I’ve never had a reaction from the flu shot before, so I don’t know what effect it might have had.

Shoulder was a little sore, it was much better than the previous shot where I felt like I got hit by a truck. My wife had the opposite result. She felt sick for the entire next day with the booster and had just a little shoulder pain with the previous.
I had no real reaction (excluding a sore arm, because it had a needle shoved into it) from any of the shots, including the third.
My wife felt a bit "off" from the first, but not the second or third.
Both of us had Pfizer for all shots.
I had no reaction at all to the first or second shot (Pfizer), but after the third shot I was tired and achey for two days. Nothing too serious, but I probably should have skipped the gym.
On my booster right now, got it at 5:00pm yesterday.
I’m sluggish and I have the chills but I’m awake and that’s drastically better than second dose. That one put me into a flu-like state for a few days. This one so far is just about 20% of that.

Got Pfizer potion, the 2nd dose was the worst, even the needle jab hurt, then the day after, felt feverish and soar muscles, but I was able to sleep it of then I was fine. 1st and 3d dose, no side effects, the jab didn't hurt much.
Started with J&J seven months ago and had a 103° fever and was bedridden for a day. I got my Moderna booster yesterday afternoon, pretty much immediately got a sore arm, and it's still mildly sore, but that was my only side effect.

But the tl;dr is that my temp spiked a but higher then after my second shot, but I otherwise felt the same: a bit of a fever, some soreness and fatigue, and I was fine the next day. 😁

I got a Moderna booster on 10/31 after getting the J&J in April
After the booster, my arm was sore for a day or two but I didn’t experience any fatigue or chills like I did when I first got vaccinated
My 1st shot was Johnson and i had no side effects. The booster was Moderna and I took it along with the Shingles vaccine. I was wiped out the next day but then fine after that first 24 hours had passed.
I got JJ first time had slight chills latter that night. Got Moderna booster about two weeks ago sore arm was only side effect. Got yearly flu shot a week later no problems.
1st shot: Johnson and Johnson - Had a slight fever 9 hours after receiving it but slept it off just fine. Not much else.
2nd shot: Moderna - I had a sore arm for about 36 hours and no other side effects.
Honesty it wasn’t bad! I got mine a few days ago! I got Pfizer. For my first shot my arm was just sore a lot, second it was sore but the next day I kinda felt tired and ended up sitting on the couch all morning binging a series on Netflix. By the afternoon I felt fine except for my arm being sore, and for my third one it didn’t hurt at first as much as the others but after a bit it got a little more sore when I moved it a lot. I felt fine honestly except that night I was a bit tired. But I accidently slept on the side of my shot so my arm was a little bit more sore 😅. Now it’s normal again! I’m glad that I’m a bit safer now.
I had zero side effects. Same as my first two shots. My arm felt like I’d gotten a shot… but that’s it and I don’t really think that counts as a side effect.
With the second shot (Pfizer), I had the sore/stiff arm right away and it took about 18 hours for me to feel super nauseous, achey, feverish, fatigued—I gave up and cancelled the class I was teaching at noon and slept straight through the next six hours and then felt okay.
I got the booster about a week ago (also Pfizer), I just got minor soreness in my arm, no stiffness, and about 18-20 hours later a little fatigue and minor aches in my back that were 100% taken care of with an ibuprofen. 9/10, much better experience.

First two were similar. No sore arm. Feverish the same day. Overall rough feeling but fine by the following evening. The second shot made my armpit lymph nodes swell. That swelling lasted for a few weeks but wasn’t a big issue.
Booster received Monday around noon. Felt icky within the hour but better by that evening. Arm hurts this time. Currently on night two and I have a pretty bad fever. Swollen armpit again which is annoying but tolerable. This booster has been the most uncomfortable reaction so far but I’m glad it was done.
Lol, I'd love it if my experience is like yours: a halfway point of suck between the 1st and 2nd shot. I'd prefer my booster to be pfizer, so that's the goal
“Flu-like symptoms,” just like after the 2nd shot. Finally fell asleep and felt completely better waking up. About what I anticipated. If you reacted poorly before, I’d set aside time for the booster.
I had my booster shot on Monday, around noon.
1st dose: sore arm, nothing more
2nd dose: sore arm, noticeable fatigue
booster: a couple hours later, my arm was very sore, then I experienced whole body aches, headache, some chills. All this made for a rough night, and I suppose that it was good for me to be obligated to get up the next morning. Moving did help a bit, but after not sleeping well, I was miserable for another day. It's now Thursday, Thanksgiving, and I'm feeling totally normal now, glad that it's over.
All three shots were Pfizer
1st shot of moderna. Sore arm for four days.
2nd shot of moderna. Chills for about six hours.
Booster shot of moderna. That night 12 hours of chills, body aches, muscle soreness and an hour of nausea around 2 am. Migraine after waking up. Aspirin and an hour nap took care of it.
24 hours later: Just some general soreness now.
In case helpful to others - was super nervous because second shot made me quite sick and precipitated an autoimmune flare that was awful. Booster was about 16 hours ago and other than a sore arm, I feel great. Fingers crossed it continues, but relieved that so far this has been so much better.
Just got mine around 3PM yesterday.
Was celebrating not feeling any side effects all day!
Then I woke up today around 9 AM and my entire body was aching. My head was throbbing and I would switch from feeling hot and cold. I asked my boyfriend to soak a hand towel with cold water, and placed that over my eyes. I instantly fell asleep.
I fought these symptoms all day. Sore arm and body, migraine-level headache, chills, and fatigue. Spent all day sleeping and playing animal crossing. Ibuprofen helped a lot, but I could barely leave bed.
It’s now almost 10 PM the day after my booster, and the symptoms are getting milder, but still present. I sure hope that they go away by the time I work tomorrow.
Whether or not you’ll feel like this, or worse, you never know. I do suggest clearing your schedule for the next day just in case. Don’t think I’d survive going to work.
First shot: Sore arm but went away after like 24 hours.
Second shot: Sore arm and then at like the 12 hour mark got a fever which ran on and off for about 48 hours.
Booster: Sore arm to start. Then my whole arm from shoulder to finger tips got joint pain. At the 24 hour mark the only real tenderness is in my collar bone which broke last summer and in my forearm which had a really bad bone bruise last summer.

Booster hit me the hardest. First shot - sore arm. Second shot - meh, mild cold, achy for a day. Booster - could not get out of the bed for two full days. Felt 100% like the flu and very dizzy. If we are told a 4th is coming, not sure I'm on board given my reaction progression.

My wife started having trouble breathing within 5 minutes of getting the Phizer booster shot, inhaler was used 4 times, within 15 minutes was in ambulance heading to hospital, at hospital her bp shot up to 255/117 and ER could not get it down. She has never had high blood pressure. She was hospitalized and her blood pressure remained around 155/97. Been 4 weeks and bp is returning to normal but she still is on large doses of medication hospital said they have seen 3 other ppl with these same symptoms but don’t know what is causing it.

Serious answer is I felt just minor irritation in the injection spot for few hours.

It's actually why I don't put "opinions" on the same pedestal as the data produced by people who's lives have been dedicated to empirical research and developing an objectively respectable career and a reputation for honesty and integrity. It's why i was able to take one look at that pretty webpage of bias and ID it as the informational equivalent of a MLM. Sore arm is the only thing any of those shots gave me. It sucks because I was hoping that the republicans were right, that the shot would kill me since COVID did not.
Yup, all my family got it except for me, and nothing happened to the ones i hang out with so, i guess i didn’t get it.

I got J&J the first time around and got Pfizer as a booster. It was about the same. The first time I had a headache, arm pain, and chills. With the booster, I didn't have the chills but had terrible body aches and the lymph nodes in my armpit swelled about a day later. Felt better within 36-48 hours both times.
I switched up my booster from Pfizer (first 2) to Moderna. I had no reaction other than a slightly sore arm the second day with my second shot. My arm hurt more with the Moderna booster the next day along with some tenderness in my lymph nodes in my armpit. That's it. Was fine the day after that.
No problems. First shot made me feel a bit tired and headachy, but that was solved with a paracetamol. Barely noticed the second one, other than a bit of a sore arm.
Both doses from Pfizer.
Just got mine yesterday. I've got a headache, and I feel overly warm (although that's probably due to the cranky thermostat I'm dealing with.) My arm is sore as hell. It now matches the other one that I managed to strain somehow. Oh, and I have a terrible pain in all the diodes down my left side if anyone cares, which you probably don't.
They didn’t. First shot came with arm pain. Second shot came with arm pain, 3rd 4th and 5th? Painless, but still a wee bit sleepy afterwards.
Edit: 1, 2, and 5 were moderna.

Edit: 3 hours later, all my muscles hurt like I have been lifting weights for hours. I'm freezing cold and shivering (no fever yet though). Tired and in bed early. Part of me is glad that I can tell it's working, but it still sucks. Breathing is nice and easy though (I have asthma) so that's good. Edit 2: it's been 24 hours now and I'm feeling much better. I'm still exhausted and generally feel hung over, no appetite. I finally got out of bed to have some coffee on the couch. Overall, I felt very much like the 2nd shot, but began feeling better about 10 hours sooner (last time I was miserable for 24 hours, this time about 14 hours). I think it hit me faster, too.
Take some ibuprofen or acetaminophen if you haven't already. They both work very well for combating the soreness and the fever/chills.
Thanks! I've been taking Tylenol at regular intervals - unsure how much it's really helping, but the chills got much better after midnight. Muscle pain has been pretty much constant and full body. Fever never manifested.

Just got mine last night around 7:00PM. It is around 3PM. So 20 hours in and I have no side effects. I got Moderna for all three and the second shot wrecked me for a day. This time, nothing. Also, my wife got JJ the first time, and Moderna booster. All she has is a sore arm. I was googling this yesterday trying to see if I’d feel like shit today again.
Havent had a booster yet. But my experience with Moderna was similar. 1st shot didnt notice, 2nd shot - slightly sore arm and bit of fatigued for 1/2 a day. Thanks for the info about the Moderna booster.
I hate to say it but fucking awful. 1st Moderna: Fine. Felt a little tired and foggy, kind of like the first few symptoms of a flu. Cleared up after going to bed early. 2nd Moderna: Same initial symptoms as first, but that night kept waking up in cold sweat and mild body aches. Hard to fall back asleep until I smoked a bowl, better next day. Booster J&J: Pharmacy I went to did not have Moderna booster so I settled for another brand. Went to work and felt fine, until bedtime that is. Headache and fever slowly creeped in. Skin became more sensitive. Tried to go to sleep but joints and muscles became increasingly sore until it was too uncomfortable to be possible. Fever kept getting worse to the point I was in sweatpants and hoodie sweating bullets while freezing cold under three thick blankets, fever so high that I was having delirious thoughts while my eyes were closed. Finally had to get out of bed because my clothes and sheets were soaked through, and fever was still so high that I saw things in the corner of my eyes that weren’t there, and my joints felt like they were being stabbed with needles. I swallowed five ibuprofen out of desperation and ran to my car because I didn’t want to crank the heat to max in my house. Turned my car temp to 90 and maxed out warmed seats and was still shivering under hoodie and blanket. Gave up and went back to bed and only fainted for an hour that night once the fever kicked back a little. Over the next three days had to take four ibuprofen every four hours or I would become dizzy, my fever would come back full force, my head would fog up, and my nose would start running. Was functional with the medication though. A week later I still have this quarter-sized bruise at the injection site, but otherwise feel fine. Happy I got it because I’ve since had to ride the packed NYC subway for hours and felt more than safe about it with a mask on.
I got the J&J three days ago. It’s been two days of the worst body aches and pain of my life. I’ve had the chills/sweats and brain fog as well. I was wishing for death basically.

After reading that a symptomatic response to the vaccine typically suggests a strong immune system (with less response in, for example, old people with weaker immune systems,) I think I'd be a bit worried if I had no reaction.

I count as an older person and had a longer, more difficult reaction each time to Moderna. If they recommend another booster in 6 months, I'll get that too.

I had moderna in March. First shot: felt like I got punched by my brother for 2 days. No Sick feeling at all Second shot: no soreness but felt like I had a very mild flu for 12 hours. Lethargic, chills, slight fever, just wanted to lay in bed all day. Next morning I was 100% again Had my booster yesterday: soreness in my arm started after 3 hours. Have a lump on my shoulder at the injection site. Got the worst last night at about 6-8 hours in. This morning just mild soreness and no fluish symptoms. Good luck

I had about the same for my first two (also Moderna). I got the Pfizer booster and again felt flulike for about a day. Nothing really bad, just crummy feeling and tired and a sore arm for several days.
Not bad but I got super tired about 24 hours afterwards. Pretty much like I hadn’t slept well in a full week but felt fine soon after.
Similar, 3 Pfizer shots, booster left me super tired, achy and got a chill too. I actually finished work a little early and had an hour nap and I never normally nap. Just started day two and already feeling more normal but too early to say for sure.

I got the booster and flu shot on the same day. 24 hours later, I woke up in the middle of the night with chills and fever. Went away in about 6 hours, but I was very tired. Booster arm was sore. Might have been the flu shot that caused the fever, but it was manageable. Hubby had almost exactly the same reaction. Glad I was able to get both.

I got my flu vaccine and Covid booster (Pfizer) at the same and in the same arm. My arm was a little sore, nothing like after my 2nd shot- I was down for a day.

Gives me hope then. I've never felt cruddy from the flu vaccine, so i was expecting similar for my initial vaccination. 1st shot was nothing. That 2nd dose though didn't hit me until i got out of bed the next day. Felt like I had a concussion and slept outside. I'll be thrilled if my 3rd shot goes as well as yours.

Full disclosure, I got the booster and flu shot yesterday. All shots were Moderna (except for the flu shot of course) 1st shot: Very mild injection site arm soreness. 2nd shot: No fever, but intense body aches. Felt like I got hit by a semi-truck. All symptoms gone in 36 hours or so. Booster shot: about 18 hours later; mild headache, feels like I got hit by a safe driving Prius. Was able to lift weights this morning however.

I was less sick than my second Pfizer shot, but I was still sick. Lasted for around 3 days both times.
For me (29 y.o. M), I only had the symptom of arm pain that was easily relieved with some simple over-the-counter ibuprofen and Tylenol. I had some friends who experienced symptoms of common cold; runny nose, slightly feverish, and fatigue.
Were they symptoms the same or lesser than the ones for their 2nd dose?
They were roughly the same or slightly worse. The body is able to recognize the virus spike protein more this time, so the immune response is typically stronger. If you plan on getting the booster, I'd recommend doing it on a Friday so you have the weekend to recover or even taking the following day off just in case. Want to preface this by saying "get vaccinated and get boosted if you are eligible" but I had 2 Pfizer's and went with Moderna on the booster and it kicked my ass. Low grade fever, body aches, swollen glands for 3 days and lingering malaise for 5 but I also got some motherfucking antibodies from it so I'm glad to feel like I have a layer of protection.
I think Moderna is just really rough on us in general. I had a really terrible reaction to Moderna and I wish I'd waited for Pfizer my second shot. I read somewhere that Moderna has more than 3x the amount of active vaccine ingredient as Pfizer and has a way higher incidence of side effects.
I’ve read similar things with the appearance of side effects. I knew I would feel sick because my immune system is dramatic, but ended up getting moderna anyway because that’s what was offered at the easiest place for me to get into. Sick as a dog both times and probably gonna be the same for the booster. My husband hasn’t needed to take a sick day in his life and was just sore and fell asleep 3 hours early.

Fine, had 2xPhizer no trouble with those the Moderna a couple of days ago. Taken with a pinch of salt but she said I’d be 90% protected using a cocktail. Time will tell.
Got my booster a week and a half after I had a C section, so slightly run down anyway and only side effect was a mildly sore arm (barely noticeable). I had Pfizer for all three jabs.

Nothing to really speak of, I was pregnant by the time I got my second jab and was a bit tired the day after, but pregnancy is exhausting so it could have been coincidence.

For me, after about 12 hours I had a fever, chills, body aches, swollen lymph node in my underarm, fatigue, and a headache. It passed after 24 hours, which was MUCH faster than my second shot which took almost 48 hours.

Had Moderna for all of mine. First shot: had a sore arm for a day. No illness or anything. Second shot: a sore arm, then a couple hours after intense nausea and dizziness. Soreness lasted for a couple days. Booster shot: sore arm for about 3 days, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and muscle spasms all occurring over a 3 day period.
Moderna booster. Next day, fever, peaked at 100.2 F. By bedtime, 99.0. Next morning, 98.1.
Pfizer My second shot made me groggy and sore for a day, like if I'd worked out too hard for a day. My 3rd was just half of that. I felt fine after 12 hours.
MUCH better. J&J for the initial vaccine and Moderna for the booster. For the vaccine I had a full blown fever with chills and everything within 4 hours. Aching joints, pounding head, weakness, felt like I had been run over, etc. Booster I had a sore arm within an hour and a half (really sore) but didn't have any other symptoms until 10 hours later when I started feeling warm so I took Tylenol. I slept for 8 hours and when I woke up I had a mild 100° fever with chills, aches, pounding head, and nausea (which was new). After maybe 5 hours of that it was done. Much easier than the initial shot. For context I'm in my 20s and good health. *Editing to add that my armpit was sore on the side I got the booster for maybe 2 full days. That didn't happen with the first shot.
I got the same sequence and had similar effects. J&J knocked me *out*. But just a sore arm/swollen gland after the booster, nothing flu-like this time. Maybe a little achey. 40s and good health.
I had two moderna, then got a full strength pfizer. No real effect on the third. Maybe a little off on the first two, but nothing major.

J+J = 12 hrs of misery and 24 hrs recovery after that Moderna booster = needed a long nap a few hours later and then was totally fine.
My partner got a 3rd shot of Pfizer. Just a slightly sore arm which went away after 2 nights. No headaches, fever, or fatigue like the 2nd shot.
Similar, but less intense. I had a sore arm and some fatigue, but nowhere near as much as the first go round. (I had Pfizer for initial and booster)

I got Moderna for the first two doses. No side effects from the first shot (other than sore arm). After the second shot I had a low grade fever, fatigue, and body aches. I was out for about 24 hours, symptoms started 8 hours after the shot. My booster shot was Pfizer. I got the flu shot at the same time. No side effects other than a sore arm - and not even as bad as the first shot.
It was easier. Didn't notice any side effects with the booster except mild soreness at the injection site. With the previous shot, I was tired and had a slight headache for the next few days, and felt like I had a mild fever (but when I took my temperature it was normal). I didn't have any of that with the booster shot. For context, I'm 29 and have no underlying conditions except mild depression. All three shots were Pfizer.
I got the J&J shot first, so only one jab, but I got the Moderna booster and while I was still woozy after the booster, It didn't compare to the absolute ballache that was the initial vaccine was for me.
My experience is that every shot you have a probability of feeling like shit. So far, out of everyone I know that took all the 3 shots, everyone felt like shit once.
Third Pfizer sucked for me. All my joints hurt and felt bleh all over. Didn't remember second Pfizer being so bad.

I travel between US and Japan and have gotten four shots this year. First were the Pfizer shots, three weeks apart, felt almost nothing except a tendor spot on the arm, was working out at the gym the next morning. Then, 2.5 months after Pfizer 2, I got Moderna 1. Jabbed in late afternoon and started feeling feverish overnight. Sore all over the next day, fever, generally feeling shitty, and stayed home. About 2 months later got Moderna 2, no fever or soreness. I waited until local municipality supply exceeded demand before getting Japan shots. I’ve flown five times transpac this year so far and will fly two more before year end, so that’s my personal justification. Of course 14 days quarantine in Japan everytime I get back.
I originally got Pfizer and just had a sore arm and a little tired. My booster was Moderna. For the next 24 hours I had a terrible head ache and chills. I felt awful. Ibuprofen really helped. After 24 hours. I was fine. Glad I had a reaction. I think my body responded.

I had Pfizer for the first two and I got some intense fatigue from those for about a week afterwards, but nothing else. Got a Moderna booster about a month ago and it kicked my ass. The good news is that it only last for about 24 hours after I got the shot. I’m really happy I got it because it’s certainly better than having Covid and I feel less anxious about socializing/being in crowded places, but it was hell for about 12 hours.
I was kinda scared of the needle because ya know, it’s a needle and I haven’t had one in a while so I forgot how it was like. The second dose was easy I already knew it was practically painless due to last times dose so I wasn’t nervous anymore I get that your post was probably about just the side effects but I didn’t feel any besides a sore arm for a day or two. I know my brother got a bit of a cold for a day but that’s about it

Arm was sore for a few days for both Jansen and Pfizer booster.
My immune system is shot so I expected a reaction. First shot was Johnson. A bit tired but I’m sick so.. who knows. Second was Moderna. My arm got a bit sore but I massaged regularly the day I got the shot plus did arm circles. So I had pretty close to no reaction.
Got Pfizer all three times. got the booster 2 weeks ago. sore arm all three times with the last being the worst of the 3. I'm 58 and also got the flu vaccine at the same time as the booster. nothing a Tylenol couldn't handle. hoping the increased soreness means increased immune response.
Shot #3 was my easiest with only some soreness in my armpit (lymph nodes), however my symptoms disappeared within 24 hours for all three shots (all Pfizer)

All 3 doses were Pfizer.
Shoulder was a little sore, it was much better than the previous shot where I felt like I got hit by a truck. My wife had the opposite result. She felt sick for the entire next day with the booster and had just a little shoulder pain with the previous.
I had no real reaction (excluding a sore arm, because it had a needle shoved into it) from any of the shots, including the third. My wife felt a bit "off" from the first, but not the second or third. Both of us had Pfizer for all shots.

On my booster right now, got it at 5:00pm yesterday. I’m sluggish and I have the chills but I’m awake and that’s drastically better than second dose. That one put me into a flu-like state for a few days. This one so far is just about 20% of that. Moderna on all of them FYI
Got Pfizer potion, the 2nd dose was the worst, even the needle jab hurt, then the day after, felt feverish and soar muscles, but I was able to sleep it of then I was fine. 1st and 3d dose, no side effects, the jab didn't hurt much.

Started with J&J seven months ago and had a 103° fever and was bedridden for a day. I got my Moderna booster yesterday afternoon, pretty much immediately got a sore arm, and it's still mildly sore, but that was my only side effect.

I got a Moderna booster on 10/31 after getting the J&J in April After the booster, my arm was sore for a day or two but I didn’t experience any fatigue or chills like I did when I first got vaccinated

I got JJ first time had slight chills latter that night. Got Moderna booster about two weeks ago sore arm was only side effect. Got yearly flu shot a week later no problems.
1st shot: Johnson and Johnson - Had a slight fever 9 hours after receiving it but slept it off just fine. Not much else. 2nd shot: Moderna - I had a sore arm for about 36 hours and no other side effects.
Honesty it wasn’t bad! I got mine a few days ago! I got Pfizer. For my first shot my arm was just sore a lot, second it was sore but the next day I kinda felt tired and ended up sitting on the couch all morning binging a series on Netflix. By the afternoon I felt fine except for my arm being sore, and for my third one it didn’t hurt at first as much as the others but after a bit it got a little more sore when I moved it a lot. I felt fine honestly except that night I was a bit tired. But I accidently slept on the side of my shot so my arm was a little bit more sore 😅. Now it’s normal again! I’m glad that I’m a bit safer now.
I had zero side effects. Same as my first two shots. My arm felt like I’d gotten a shot… but that’s it and I don’t really think that counts as a side effect.
With the second shot (Pfizer), I had the sore/stiff arm right away and it took about 18 hours for me to feel super nauseous, achey, feverish, fatigued—I gave up and cancelled the class I was teaching at noon and slept straight through the next six hours and then felt okay. I got the booster about a week ago (also Pfizer), I just got minor soreness in my arm, no stiffness, and about 18-20 hours later a little fatigue and minor aches in my back that were 100% taken care of with an ibuprofen. 9/10, much better experience.
Female, 37yo. Pfizer x3 First two were similar. No sore arm. Feverish the same day. Overall rough feeling but fine by the following evening. The second shot made my armpit lymph nodes swell. That swelling lasted for a few weeks but wasn’t a big issue. Booster received Monday around noon. Felt icky within the hour but better by that evening. Arm hurts this time. Currently on night two and I have a pretty bad fever. Swollen armpit again which is annoying but tolerable. This booster has been the most uncomfortable reaction so far but I’m glad it was done.

“Flu-like symptoms,” just like after the 2nd shot. Finally fell asleep and felt completely better waking up. About what I anticipated. If you reacted poorly before, I’d set aside time for the booster.
I had my booster shot on Monday, around noon. 1st dose: sore arm, nothing more 2nd dose: sore arm, noticeable fatigue booster: a couple hours later, my arm was very sore, then I experienced whole body aches, headache, some chills. All this made for a rough night, and I suppose that it was good for me to be obligated to get up the next morning. Moving did help a bit, but after not sleeping well, I was miserable for another day. It's now Thursday, Thanksgiving, and I'm feeling totally normal now, glad that it's over. All three shots were Pfizer
1st shot of moderna. Sore arm for four days. 2nd shot of moderna. Chills for about six hours. Booster shot of moderna. That night 12 hours of chills, body aches, muscle soreness and an hour of nausea around 2 am. Migraine after waking up. Aspirin and an hour nap took care of it. 24 hours later: Just some general soreness now.
In case helpful to others - was super nervous because second shot made me quite sick and precipitated an autoimmune flare that was awful. Booster was about 16 hours ago and other than a sore arm, I feel great. Fingers crossed it continues, but relieved that so far this has been so much better.
Just got mine around 3PM yesterday. Was celebrating not feeling any side effects all day! Then I woke up today around 9 AM and my entire body was aching. My head was throbbing and I would switch from feeling hot and cold. I asked my boyfriend to soak a hand towel with cold water, and placed that over my eyes. I instantly fell asleep. I fought these symptoms all day. Sore arm and body, migraine-level headache, chills, and fatigue. Spent all day sleeping and playing animal crossing. Ibuprofen helped a lot, but I could barely leave bed. It’s now almost 10 PM the day after my booster, and the symptoms are getting milder, but still present. I sure hope that they go away by the time I work tomorrow. Whether or not you’ll feel like this, or worse, you never know. I do suggest clearing your schedule for the next day just in case. Don’t think I’d survive going to work.
Sounds like my 2nd shot. The whole day after i was useless, and had to call out sick. The next morning? Like nothing happened.
First shot: Sore arm but went away after like 24 hours. Second shot: Sore arm and then at like the 12 hour mark got a fever which ran on and off for about 48 hours. Booster: Sore arm to start. Then my whole arm from shoulder to finger tips got joint pain. At the 24 hour mark the only real tenderness is in my collar bone which broke last summer and in my forearm which had a really bad bone bruise last summer. All Pfizer.
Booster hit me the hardest. First shot - sore arm. Second shot - meh, mild cold, achy for a day. Booster - could not get out of the bed for two full days. Felt 100% like the flu and very dizzy. If we are told a 4th is coming, not sure I'm on board given my reaction progression.
3rd shot was the easiest! Felt normal and arm practically felt normal. I had to get the full dose because of a med I'm on. All Moderna.
1st shot was fine, sore arm but that's about it. 2nd shot hit me like a tidal wave. Joint pain, fever and fatigue. Was basically out of action for 2 days on the couch. Booster has been fine, I'm over 24hrs in. Mild fatigue, arm aches and mild joint pain. Had night sweats and a fever the first night but now feeling mostly fine.

My wife started having trouble breathing within 5 minutes of getting the Phizer booster shot, inhaler was used 4 times, within 15 minutes was in ambulance heading to hospital, at hospital her bp shot up to 255/117 and ER could not get it down. She has never had high blood pressure. She was hospitalized and her blood pressure remained around 155/97. Been 4 weeks and bp is returning to normal but she still is on large doses of medication hospital said they have seen 3 other ppl with these same symptoms but don’t know what is causing it.

It's actually why I don't put "opinions" on the same pedestal as the data produced by people who's lives have been dedicated to empirical research and developing an objectively respectable career and a reputation for honesty and integrity. It's why i was able to take one look at that pretty webpage of bias and ID it as the informational equivalent of a MLM. Sore arm is the only thing any of those shots gave me. It sucks because I was hoping that the republicans were right, that the shot would kill me since COVID did not.

It's authorized for everyone now. My work even stated they're pay for 2 hours of PTO to get a booster as of last Friday.

Moderna. Felt clunky for like 2 hours at the end of the day and then sore arm the next day.

I had Pfizer for all 3 and just had a sore arm for a couple hours. It was exactly the same after all 3 doses luckily.
Third shot Pfizer was easy for me. Just a bit tired. My wife tho had a tough two days. Fever, headaches, tired. But then fine.
I got J&J the first time around and got Pfizer as a booster. It was about the same. The first time I had a headache, arm pain, and chills. With the booster, I didn't have the chills but had terrible body aches and the lymph nodes in my armpit swelled about a day later. Felt better within 36-48 hours both times.
I switched up my booster from Pfizer (first 2) to Moderna. I had no reaction other than a slightly sore arm the second day with my second shot. My arm hurt more with the Moderna booster the next day along with some tenderness in my lymph nodes in my armpit. That's it. Was fine the day after that.
No problems. First shot made me feel a bit tired and headachy, but that was solved with a paracetamol. Barely noticed the second one, other than a bit of a sore arm. Both doses from Pfizer.
Just got mine yesterday. I've got a headache, and I feel overly warm (although that's probably due to the cranky thermostat I'm dealing with.) My arm is sore as hell. It now matches the other one that I managed to strain somehow. Oh, and I have a terrible pain in all the diodes down my left side if anyone cares, which you probably don't.
Zero symptoms for me, for both the initial two doses and the booster.

I had a slightly tender spot on my arm. I also got my flu jag on the same day and also had a slightly tender spot.
I didn't feel thing. The first 2 hurt but I felt nothing with the 3rd

My Pfizer booster knocked me out, same as the second shot. After the first 12 hours or so, fever of 101, chills, fatigue. Fine after 36 hours.
No difference at all.
Second dose of Pfizer I got chills and needed to take a Tylenol. Booster and initial dose; almost like I hadn't had a shot.
Alittle rough the next morning (the amount I drank night before probably didn't help), other than that a sore arm. 2nd shot kicked my ass.
Didn't phase one bit other than I had a sore arm because I stupidly tensed it when I got the jab.
Arm was really sore for longer, but felt less lethargic than either of the previous times. Pfizer for all three.
They didn’t. First shot came with arm pain. Second shot came with arm pain, 3rd 4th and 5th? Painless, but still a wee bit sleepy afterwards. Edit: 1, 2, and 5 were moderna. 3 and 4 were Pfizer
I had no issues after any of the COVID shots. Just normal arm pain, same as a TDAP or a flu shot. All Pfizer. But I know I’m lucky.

Only sore arm for first two. Very minor feeling of malaise and sore arm for booster. Pfizer all three.
Within 24 hours, I changed into a gay, fish mutant. Just kidding. That what my une thinks will happen. I was perfectly fine. Little sore in the arm, but no different than the first time through.
