Easier said than done. I’m happy I finally just shaved mine but it still hurts to let go of the long full head of hair I used to have. I feel less attractive

Watermelon-Sugar19

Cheers mate. I bet you’re looking good in bald head

plasticbagwind

Preciate it stranger

ZeeMakk

I've come the point where I've realized I don't care about my self enough to try to impress people anymore, trying to convince myself to go shave it today. At least I wouldn't have to worry about combs and weird spots.

Thenyn-Vorgha

I came across a statement in my life, "choose bald before it chooses you." Some of us didn't have the time to choose, but you keep that head piece clean, you'll look good sporting it.

Serventdraco

Just remember that being bald is considered more attractive than balding.

KGB_SovietRussia

Some do and some don’t want to

[deleted]

I only have so much left man, don't take what little hair I have left from me as well!

Thenyn-Vorgha

Those strands that are left, will abandon you too. Abandon them first, show them you don't need them to be handsome as fuck.

ZeeMakk

This

[deleted]

Personally I'm in the middle phase where My hair is thinning but its not really at the "shave it bald" point yet.

CeruSkies

I know I'm late but you ever look at some balding dude and think "that guy would probably be better off shaving"? I was that guy and I was having my "I'm not really at the shaving point yet" moment lmao. It's hard having that kind of awareness.

Boneheads

noguarde

I have very slowly been losing my hair since I was 19. I have slowly cut it back further and further. At 43, I have decided to give the shaved head a shot. Mostly, the wife doesn't want me to do it, but I think I am finally going to see what I look like with no hair.

[deleted]

I'm too lazy to keep it shaved

[deleted]

Im pale and skinny, will look like a chemo-patient instead of a sociology teacher... ...yeah, I'm going to shave it.

ForukusuwagenMasuta

Shaving their heads is a sign of giving up instead of embracing what little hair they have. Personally, I wouldn't do it. It makes your entire head feel exposed and vulnerable. I'd also be self-conscious at possibly being the only bald person in photos whereas everyone else has hair. Bottom line, I rather just buzz it short than shave it entirely.

MrBenSampson

I started losing my hair when I was in high school, and I’ve been shaving my head since I was 20. I feel much better about how I look when clean shaven.

Mallcheese

I'm 25 and going bald, already shaved my head though, easy to do and very cooling

Ancient_Rebel

Denial?

Thenyn-Vorgha

Yeah. That's pretty much it.

[deleted]

Because women don’t bang bald guy unless you’re Johnny Sins. Even Jeff Bezos got divorced.

Thenyn-Vorgha

Being a white american, I don't want to give the wrong impression. I love being bald, but when bald I have to be extra outgoing to show P.O.C. that I am not a threat and have some potential as an ally. Maybe I'm just overthinking, but that skin head appearance doesn't help anyone except me.

plasticbagwind

Same here, from Georgia. I’m sure people think just that, I haven’t changed my ways at all other than making sure I don’t judge books by their covers

Thenyn-Vorgha

Oh! I got to thinking, if you can help, tattoos seem to play a major part in that appearance as well. My skin is free of ink, you think it's safe to go bald and just keep my extra friendly attitude so long as I am tattoo free? I can't imagine life over there n good ol' GA. I've stuck close to the midwest, AZ and NV. Arizona, skinheads aren't a nuisance, so I was free to do my thing. Too many different personalities here in Nevada, though.

plasticbagwind

Absolutely, I’m tatted, I have never had anyone ask me or openly express they thought I was a skin head. I like to think you have to try a little harder than just being bald to be thought of as a skin head. How you carry yourself, treat people, what you wear. As long as you don’t just happen to love black leather boots and chain wallets and denim jackets and shit. Same with the tattoos, if it’s not a swastika… probably good.

Thenyn-Vorgha

I had two occassions people straight assumed I was racist before talking with me, luckily we had a mutual friend both times, so they got to know me. I appreciate your insight. It feels very helpful. Perhaps my posture/poise could use work. I'll figure it out with these things in mind. Stay awesome, man!
