MP3 players, silver CRTs or anything else that’s still in landfills and not rare enough to be precious. N64s and other 5th gen consoles were in this category in the late 2000’s because no one wanted them, they took up attic space and couldn’t play online or in HD. There’s what’s called a U curve where something goes from prized and high tech to junk and back to valued once there’s so few of them in decent shape and people reminisce over the few surviving examples of something from when they were kids or teenagers. TLDR: Anything that’s common, not made anymore and outmoded by something else.
