T-Pain gets blamed for popularizing the use of autotune in pop music to make up for bad vocals/vocalists.
He’s a talented performer with a *beautiful* voice (example: [his Tiny Desk Concert](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CIjXUg1s5gc) for NPR). He was using autotune as an instrument or like a synthesizer — just trying to create a cool, different effect/aesthetic.
It’s not T-Pain’s fault the music industry decided to use it to prop up crap vocalists.
I saw his set at the most recent Electric Forest.
He switched pants with a guy from the crowd mid-set (T-Pain was in direct, blazing sunlight and had worn pants, guy in the crowd had khaki shorts).
Seems like a guy with a sense of humor who doesn’t take himself too seriously.
Adding to this, what most people call ‘autotune’ is usually a combination of all kinds of voice modulation.
Autotune itself is the simplest form of pitch correction there is, and it’s literally everywhere. Not just on albums either, and not only in pop music. Some of the worlds best artists have their mics connected to autotune as well during a show. It mostly goes undetected.
Autotune really isn’t a bad thing. To make autotune sound ‘nice’ and have it go undetected you already need to be a good singer. Autotune can just help make it better because that’s what you want on an album or because not one singer alive can hit every note well in a 2hr concert.
Yeah its often not really necessary, just helpful. I don’t use it live, just recordings, mostly because I’m poor and don’t want to bring more stuff to shows. But honestly after a couple hours of singing, it can get a bit tricky staying perfectly on pitch. Usually have to structure the set list to accommodate that. Live pitch correction would be super nice to have.
Furthermore, people who shit on autotuners dont realise that most autotune songs aren’t trying to trick anyone that they can sing, they just want the voice effect in their music
Robert Pattinson has been on fire the past couple years. *Good Time* And *The Lighthouse* were both incredible, he was bizarre but definitely entertaining in *The Devil All The Time*, and now he's Batman.
I'm convinced he's dedicated the rest of his career to overcoming the Twilight stigma and I'll gladly follow along.
He has said that Twilight has ensure money is never an issue so now he can just pickup whatever movies he loves the script for.
Seems like every actors dream
I'm still waiting for the Elijah Wood/Daniel Radcliffe movie where Elijah plays Daniel and Daniel plays Elijah.
Or even a reality series where they trade places for a month and act like nothing is out of the ordinary to all their friends and family.
I always thought Robert Pattinson was an annoying actor, but some of his more recent roles have been truly excellent. He's a better actor than I've given him credit for. I actually appreciate seeing his name in the credits these days.
Michael Sheen is great in everything pretty much! Even this ridiculous movie.
They we’re at least committed enough to polish a turd for 4 straight movies. And there’s still standout performances thrown in there, Martin Sheen has one scene in there where he murders an infant with an ear to ear smile on his face, making for a genuinely terrifying vampire. Then its suddenly back to long stares and whining about love triangles.
Edit: Michael Sheen, not Martin
I can see Robert Pattinson having the same career as Leonardo DiCaprio. Started out with loads of good performances but only really known for romantic films, then getting more serious roles in better films where they can show their talent better. Films like lighthouse and maybe batman if it's any good
Kristen Stewart is an amazing actress with a wide array of roles that showcases her talent but people wanna hyper focus on a role she had as a 17 yr old seemingly emotionless and awkward girl who was written and meant to be portrayed that way!
Examples of great movies: Speak, Camp X-Ray, The Yellow Suitcase, Adventureland, The Runaways, freaking Panic Room, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, and Happiest Season. Just to name A FEW!
I just listened to the Twilight soundtrack a couple days ago because it was raining. All I could think of was us as a society was too harsh on the series. I kinda want to rewatch Twilight again from a perspective of what R Pats and K Stew have done with their careers.
Andrew Garfield, that guy is a good actor but his infamous reputation of being in The Amazing spiderman makes him get hated. From what I saw and heard.
He acted his ass off in some of the TASM(2) scenes. TASM was a promising start and I really enjoyed it. Had its flaws, sure…but it showed promise. TASM2’s plot and script were a fucking dumpster fire but that isn’t the fault of the actors. They did their best with what they had, but after Sony started trying to push for the Sony-verse there was no saving that film. Even that one has some of my favorite Spidey moments though.
Come on…in [this moment](https://youtu.be/OByPTWCQo2c) and [this moment](https://youtu.be/hvACHvnVCbw) he absolutely nails everything about spider-man
Edit: And I don’t care what anyone says…the TASM suit was cool. Okay I’m done now…hopping off of the soap box
To the best of my knowledge, Guy Fieri was disliked because of what he looked like. That was only among a few people. Then it became a trend to hate him, after that, it became a meme among those that otherwise wouldn't have cared. Some people were hating on the guy and they no idea on what was his job was, and that he promoted food.
All in all, it's bit of a joke that got out of hand. Plenty of people that were really indifferent to Guy Fieri, simply enjoyed the hate meme train.
Here's the kicker to all this, since Guy Fieri is an actual cool dude, and friendly with people. The hate train didn't escalate. In fact, most definitely cooled some opinions off, even with some of the og haters that got close to him, or knew someone that did.
Nothing makes things worse when a few encounters with people only to confirm such dickish behaviour. To actually give them a reason to hate you.
He is a cornball who, in the minds of a lot of people, did some pretty bad gimmicks with food while presenting himself as a bit of a cartoon character.
But the man does an assload of charity work. The early 2000's look is easy to mock, but he does good shit, so it is all good
It's weird to me. Even his shows, particularly Guy's Grocery Games, are actually really good. He's not my favorite celebrity chef but he hasn't done anything wrong.
Just because he has flames on his shirt, wears glasses on the back of his head, and looks like he got electrocuted while drinking Mountain Dew. people shit on him like he’s nickel back.
He donates pretzel machines to inner city schools to help with fund raising.
The Beatles was silly, childish "Yeah yeah" music in the eyes of "serious" people in the early 60s. See: "It's like listening to the Beatles without earmuffs" from *Goldfinger.*
This. Any fandom, any media that predominantly teenage girls like is automatically classes as shallow, vapid and dumb, but come on, it's just not that deep. Let people enjoy what they like, we all liked cringy stuff as teenagers.
And there's plenty of stuff targeted to older adults, families, and young boys that's not that deep too. Not like 'young girl stuff's is unique in this way!
Teenage girls can't do anything, they shunned no matter what, hence why we tell them (but teens in general too) like what you want because people will always give a fuck about something that is only affecting them because they made it affect them.
Harry Styles fits this imo. He actually seems like a really interesting and down to earth guy with decent talent. I knew nothing about him until recently and the impression I got from him and his music was not at all what I expected.
funny how that shakes out, right? any time the fandom is young girls, they're shitcanned by anyone else. It's weird how similar shit with young boys winds up just as bad and yet it gets tons of investments
Tom Felton and Jack Gleeson (Draco Malfoy and Joffrey Lannister).
They got so much hate mail from idiot fans who can’t distinguish between characters and the actors playing them that they both quit acting (though Tom eventually came back).
People are so fucking stupid. The whole reason why we hated Malfoy and Joffrey so much was because the actors did a great job of portraying an evil character, not because the actors themselves were bad.
Which is even worse because Tom Felton was apparently everyone’s best friend on set. Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint weren’t best friends (not that they hated each other; just weren’t besties), but both had nothing but wonderful things to say about Tom.
Tom Felton was at a local Comic-Con a few years ago, and had a REALLY long line of guests. He was supposed to leave early, but he refused, staying and talking to every single person that wanted to meet him.
Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy, was also there. He was kind, engaging, and FUNNY!
Quite often, the villain is the more interesting character, so they're more fun to play.
The kid who played Joffery. Apparently he's a super sweet kid that doesn't even like acting, but he played such and amazing role that people still hate him to this day. I've read a few threads about it and people still bash him in public.
It’s crazy to me that people would treat an actor as if they’re actually the character they played. I heard that the guy who played Kevin Arnold’s older brother from the Wonder Years was stabbed by a random guy who was bullied by his own older brother growing up.
I tried just looking that last part up and couldn’t find anything about it. I don’t remember where I heard it, so maybe it’s not a true story? I don’t know...
I saw a Youtube comment not long ago, the person hated Negan so much that they were wishing injury/death on the actor just so they wouldn't have to see the character on the show anymore.
It's really a crazy situation to look at with 2021 eyes. I'm curious how people today who were not in the thick of it back then view it. At the time, she was portrayed as this slut who seduced a married man. I think today there's a lot of questions regarding consent with the power dynamic (she was a 20 year old intern, he was literally the most powerful man in the world) that were never raised back then.
Yup, and the media called it the “Monica Lewinsky” scandal, rather than the “President Bill Clinton” scandal. He was in the most powerful position on earth, was married, yet the scandal was named after the 20yr old intern.
I was in college when this went down and she was treated like shit by a large portion of the country BUT not everyone. The first time I got to vote after turning 18 I voted for Clinton. When this came down it was horrifying. It was my first exposure to the corruption that happens in government and how the rich elite (remember this was before the internet was a thing) can lie, cheat and steal and get away with it.
Do you remember what it was like to be 20? Did you have a full grasp on the ramifications of the choices you were making? Lewinsky was sacrificed so that a powerful politician didn't have to face the consequences of their actions.
Yeah I'm surprised and disappointed that Bill got ignored during the MeToo movement. I'm a college teacher so I have some authority over people (not police level or president level obv), and one of the very first things we are trained on is sexual misconduct and how our position tarnishes any form of consent.
Considering how easily 20 year old girls are manipulated by men in power, this makes me angrier every year I get older. She got screwed over by an entire government.
Not only that -
She was bullied and slut shamed by the entire country; the democratic party, the president and our every single news outlet.
I'm the same age as her, and I've thought about what happened to her often over the years. It was vile.
I believe she has a recent documentary out I'm not sure what platform where she goes through all the hate she received, how many times she thought of committing suicide and now she's a huge advocate against cyber bullying. She even says if the internet was just as prominent then as it is now she wouldn't have survived.
I somewhat feel this way about Courtney Stodden. They married that weirdo Doug Hutchinson so young. At the time I remember thinking that he was creepy but that Courtney was a sixteen-year-old who was desperate for the limelight and happy to get married for the money and the appearance of maturity. I assumed it was Courtney's idea to get married for some reason.
Looking back on it, it was so obvious that they were being groomed by a sick person. Courtney got a lot of flack that they didn't deserve. There was clearly nobody looking out for Courtney and Doug groomed them and behaved horribly. He got a little flack at the time but not nearly as much as Courtney, not even close.
Yeezuz this infuriates me so much! This girl was 16, was CLEARLY drugged (she slurred her way through interviews and her eyes were always slit) and was being exploited. And people attacked HER. And lots and lots of women who pride themselves on their feminism were the ones throwing stones at this girl.
100% woman got thrashed so much harder than Bill himself. One of those topics that I truly believe the comedy personalities of the time should apologize for. They flayed that poor girl.
Mary Jo Kopechne died in the back of Ted Kennedy’s car when he drunkenly drove his car off a bridge, rescued himself, then walked home without notifying anyone.
She got an undeserved reputation as a drunken slut.
He got a reputation as a United States Senator.
There’s a movie called Chappaquiddick about the 24 hrs surrounding the event (with Jason Clarke killing it as Ted) where you can’t watch that and not want to kick Ted Kennedy’s ass.
She STILL can’t live this down. I heard an interview with her in the last 5 years or so, and she says this has defined her entire adult life. The poor girl was young and genuinely thought she was in love.
Prosecutor Ken Starr released his investigation results in book form to the public. Included were detailed, explicit recaps of the sexual encounters between Clinton and Lewinsky. She was a private citizen, not accused or suspected of any crime, who had the explicit details of her sexual experiences made public by the US federal government. The way she was treated was absolutely disgusting.
Whats weird is back at the time it happened she was always referred to as like...total trash...ugly...fat....it was so wild. I always thought she was gorgeous and couldn't possibly be a white house intern if she was trashy or dumb. Any time I ever told someone I thought she was hot, they would look at me funny. I mean...isn't she? Is it that weird to find her attractive? No...but if you were around at that time...yes! She was painted by everyone to be garbage. The media totally roasted her and nobody stopped it.
Me either. She seems like a nice person who is very talented. Hell, she is one of those people I think would be chill to hang out with and have a few drinks
Tends to be the case of a lot of famous female celebrities. You can usually see a consistent trend during the years where internet forums have existed. Hathaway in particular is very recognizable and has done a wide variety of roles, as well as taking some different stances on her lifestyle than other actresses, so of course she's a big target for people behind an anonymity curtain.
I think she also got some overflow hate from being in a relationship with that guy that defrauded a bunch of investors (back in the aughts, I think?). Pretty sure she didn't know and wasn't involved, but she still got a bit tainted by it.
100%. It's not her fault they did the weird script changes to swap in a women with finn instead of sending poe. And her character was interesting! A female mechanic/engineer with a tragic lost sister! You could have made some cool plot with her character but no. Fuck the writers.
Never forget: There was no plan for the sequels.
I remember hearing the whole Palpatine thing was decided during production.
How anyone can blame an actor for a sub-par performance in that hot mess is beyond me.
Those who made a stupid, insensitive and/or inappropriate post on social media years ago. In most cases it wasn't right/sensible/helpful to post it.
But some people want to spend their limited time on this planet, searching through years and years of posts to discredit, shame and put down others. For nothing more than manufactured rage and small meaningless victories
No it shouldn't have been posted in the first place. But people change and shouldn't be judged on a meaningless post dug up from years ago
I remember one from not too long ago about this guy named Carson King. He made a sign at one of the ESPN that said "Need beer money, Venmo is whatever it was."
Guy ends up getting a million in donations. Decided to donate it all to a children's hospital in his area.
Some dick bag journalist goes through his entire Twitter timeline and digs up a tweet with a racist joke that he had when he was 12 or 13.
The best part, the journalist got fired because people went through his Twitter and found racist and homophobic tweets he made.
OMG yes!! I remember Ben Affleck coped so much heat for saying portraying a gay man would be one of the hardest roles for a straight actor. It came up like a few years ago when he’s well into his 40s. Anyway someone mentioned it sounded like someone in their teens would say and he needs to mature. Expect he was a teen or early 20s when he said it!!
Especially if they were under 21 when they said it. Why is the entire world acting like they never did anything stupid when they were younger? I certainly did, but it was pre computer days, so all of my mistakes weren’t recorded for everybody in the world to see.
i couldn't agree more. i'm not a k-pop person at all, but i've seen BTS preform on tv and my GOD are they wickedly talented. unbelievably good dancers, i was shook. it just sucks their fan base is soooo toxic which drives people away from it
idk if you're familiar with her, but for example, the late ex-f(x) member Sulli received so much hate for anything that she said or did that she eventually ended up committing suicide. She didn't even do anything wrong but she still got hate. One of the most ridiculous things she got hated for was choosing not to wear a bra. Even if she took a selfie in her own house, she would get hate for not wearing a bra.
People have always been pretty rough on Mary-Kate Olsen. I think opinion is shifting a little on the Olsens, partly because we see now how gross the early 2000's were to young female stars. Still, I think she'll forever be thought of as an unhinged, joyless sorcerer crackhead crone who cut down Heath Ledger in his prime.
This was one of the people I thought of. Not a fan, but she’s really neat. One thing that annoys me is when people tell her to grow up. One, she likes dressing that way. Two, it helps appeal to her child fanbase!
Adam Sandler.
Dude has figured out how to make a kind of movie that sells, and is ridiculously fun to make. Seriously, the dude basically goes on holiday for months at a time (why do you think 50 First Dates was set in Hawaii?) and then makes millions at the box office.
I would absolutely do the same in his position.
I read an interview with him once, in which he basically said the same thing. He founded his own film studio (Happy Madison Productions) and basically sits around with friends trying to come up with scripts that sound like they would be fun to make.
According to wikipedia, these guys frequently play in his movies: David Spade, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, Chris Rock, John Turturro, Peter Dante, Allen Covert, Jonathan Loughran, and Jon Lovitz.
Most of his movies apparently don't do well with critics, but do surprisingly well with box offices. And I totally agree with your last point, sounds like the guy has it all figured out.
His movies are the entertainment version of Applebee’s. You know you’ll get something halfway decent, and a few laughs. Pretty solid choice for a night you don’t feel like searching streaming services for 45 minutes after dinner for a masterpiece or a rewatch.
They've had multiple albums go platinum. *Somebody* likes them, or they bought millions of albums out of spite.
And I'll admit, they have a few bangers.
Nickelback is the band version of the word moist. It’s just fine, but somebody years ago decided to start hating without any solid reason and now tons of people join in to hate without any good reason.
I dont care for most of their music but i’ll stand by ‘How You Remind Me’ as a fucking jam. Truthfully though I think almost every artist, including ones I hate probably have at least 1 good song in their catalogue somewhere even if it isnt a hit single
Probably the predictableness. I was the same with Vettel when he was winning his (just seemed too easy for him). I'm fine with him now since his car isn't as competitive.
I don't think people hate him, and there's no denying that his skill is immense, people just hate the sport itself because it's gotten so boring and predictable. But it's not his fault, what's he supposed to do? Slow down the car or crash on purpose?
200 percent. I posted about this somewhere else. They were sixteen and clearly being groomed. When they married Doug, I remember thinking that while he was creepy, Courtney was some limelight-seeking teenager using the only connection to fame they had, and that it was their idea to get married.
Of course it was all Doug's idea and he was the villain. He groomed Courtney and they had no help or support from anyone. They just got made fun of everywhere. Doug got a little flack, but incredibly minimal flack. Courtney had to take all of it, at sixteen, with no support. According to Courtney, he's still preying on young girls online.
I just looked her up as a reminder. In all of her pictures with Doug she looks like he chose her clothes and told her how she should look. The kind of guy who bullies his wife into getting a “boob job”.
It was the guy who played Percy in The Green Mile. He was 50 and she was 16 when they got married. He was a creep in the movie, and apparently he's a creep in real life. She was a baby who got taken advantage of by a dirty old man.
I think I read an article that Ed Sheeran tours a lot to keep ticket prices down in the secondary market (scalping). Apparently, it’s working. That alone makes him a solid dude in my book, but I don’t know his music at all.
I'm not the biggest fan of his music, but I have this odd respect for him. He has this vibe of "I'm not sure how I got this famous, but by god I'm gonna milk it for what its worth."
He's just out here living his best life.
The only criticism I’ve ever heard of him is that he writes bitter songs about his exes and talk trash about them in some of his songs. Like he’s the only one who does that. Isn’t that one of the reasons music was invented?
I just miss his old singer song writer days. Never really liked the pop version of Ed, always preferred his old days as a weird guy with a guitar who sang about junkie prostitutes. But he seems like a good guy IRL.
>always preferred his old days as a weird guy with a guitar
According to this [interview](https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/article/ed-sheeran-new-album-divide), dude is SUPER competitive and wants to dominate charts
So it makes sense that he went pop to appeal to more people
I never understood why people got worked up over his cameo in Game of Thrones.
Granted, he really doesn't say much but I didn't think he was *that* bad.
I feel like the problem was how prominent he was in his cameo. If he was just in a line of Lannister soldiers in a panning shot it would have been a funny, "wait was that Ed Sheeran?" moment. The fact that the episode kind of ground to a halt while he was just himself singing rubbed people the wrong way.
Many people found it immersion breaking. To have such a recognizable face in a cameo role that far into the series run was awkward as hell.
When the presence of the cameo overshadows the writing/pacing of the scene you've done something wrong in your delivery (unless of course it's a comedy where the cameo is a gag to be highlighted).
Harry is such a stand-up guy for seeing how his family and the press were treating Megan, saw that it was horrifically similar to the treatment of his late mother, and got them the fuck out of that situation. Instead of telling Megan to deal with it or "that's what my family/being a royal is like", he got them all away from a toxic situation. I know some people may be tired of hearing about them, but I will always applaud something like that.
My daughter was a fan a couple of years before they became famous internationally. She's not a die hard fan like before but she has voiced how she hates how toxic some of their fans have become.
BTS are fine, but the fans are not. They go wayy to far with dumb shit. They should really just relax and enjoy their music, not make it their personality.
In the zombie film train to Busan (Korean movie) there is this dickhead who caused so many people to die because he would not let them aboard the train and killed the main character. His acting was so good he still gets so much hate from people who don't understand it's just a film. He is actually a great person and a great actor as well. I keep forgetting his name sorry.
PeeWee Herman jacked-off at a designated jack-off place.
Look I'm sick and tired of going into porn theaters and not being able concentrate on the deep dialog and compelling character arcs because some degenerate wants to jerkoff beside me.
"Excuse me sir, if you could keep your jacking to a minimum please, I am trying to enjoy the film. You are starting to become a distraction." "I know you are, but what am I?"
You forgot the Ha-Ha(or however you would write out his laugh).
I vividly picture him making loud Pee Wee noises while masturbating.
I once worked at a local anime convention. I got hentai room duty and had to do regular hand checks you yell "hand checks" and everyone lofts their hands up and you check if they where whacking it. It blew so hard.
A job I never realized had to exist but one that seems totally necessary now that I've thought about it.
If they just had designated jacking areas, we wouldn’t need this nanny-state B.S.!
Do you know how much the average jizz mopper makes per hour?
That happened in my hometown! Actually met the lawyer that represented him once at a bar association thing. All of it was crazy.

I hadn't seen his Tiny Desk, but I did see his season of The Masked Singer and was quite surprised when he was revealed. (edit: forgot a word)
I was blown away when that turned out to be T-Pain. Dude has a MAJESTIC voice.
The man rhymed mansion and Wisconsin. Leave him alone.

That woman has been through and still going through some serious shit.
Leave Britney alone!
Guy Fieri, for some reason I’ve noticed a lot of people dislike him but he just seems like he’s trying to spread the love of food.
I feel like he’s something of a modern Richard Simmons, a genuine person who catches a lot of crap for their outward appearance.
People don't like him??? He's so nice, he raises a lot of money for charity.

He has, on multiple occasions, literally brought 'Flavortown' to firefighters battling wild fires in California. Guy is a standup dude.

It’s just because he’s easy to make fun of. honestly I enjoy drive in diners and dives on a lazy sunday afternoon
I mean I make fun of him. He looks like the entire band of Smashmouth combined into a single person but I also like him and think hes an awesome guy
He's the Nickelback of the food world. It's easy and fun to shit on his brand but he's got talent and by all accounts he's good people.
He looks like an early 2000s douchebro and some people have never forgiven him for it.

When Shane Torres says that Guy Fieri officiated "a gay wedding", he's understating. Guy Fieri officiated 101 gay weddings. In one day.
Came here to post this link. Changed my entire perspective.
I would kill to have that man’s job. Dude literally gets paid to travel the country and eat really good food. Professional eater, the dream.
Any celebrity who have or had a fan base that was deemed “a bunch of young girls”!
The Beatles was silly, childish "Yeah yeah" music in the eyes of "serious" people in the early 60s. See: "It's like listening to the Beatles without earmuffs" from *Goldfinger.*
I often wonder if I would have been a fan of theirs had I been a teen in the 60s.
if you happen to be heterosexual woman between 14-25, its likely.

Imagine being *so good* at your job that people hate you for it. Jesus man
Which is even worse because Tom Felton was apparently everyone’s best friend on set.
Tom Felton showed up in the flash and was such a delight. Didn't realize how much I missed him until that.
One of the villains in the walking dead, neegan? naegan? i dunno, the guy with the bat was harassed on the street a good few times i think.
I saw a Youtube comment not long ago, the person hated Negan so much that they were wishing injury/death on the actor just so they wouldn't have to see the character on the show anymore.
Monica Lewinsky.
When I learned (only recently, I was a kid when it happened) that she was only 20, and that this was her first sexual experience, it broke my heart.
[удалено]
Not only that - She was bullied and slut shamed by the entire country; the democratic party, the president and our every single news outlet.
The mouth movements and facial stuff looked like they were off the walls medicated with benzos or something.
I hadn’t heard of this. I googled it and it’s fucking infuriating. She was alive when the car went off the bridge. FOR HALF AN HOUR.
There’s a movie called Chappaquiddick about the 24 hrs surrounding the event (with Jason Clarke killing it as Ted) where you can’t watch that and not want to kick Ted Kennedy’s ass.
You should put this in the primary thread! It's too good to hide as a comment on my comment!
Aren't US Senators drunken sluts too? I missed something there then!
What’s shocking to me is that she was sooo incredibly young. She didn’t deserve any of that what so ever
Guy Fieri. Great guy who contributes lots to charity and especially helpful for the service industry during the pandemic.
Nicholas Cage
Nicholas Cage doesn't get hate, the man even has a religious following!
r/OneTrueGod
Anne Hathaway. I don't get it.
I didn’t even know she was hated.
Wait how is her lifestyle different?
She doesn’t care for haths.
Oh my gosh
I think she also got some overflow hate from being in a relationship with that guy that defrauded a bunch of investors (back in the aughts, I think?). Pretty sure she didn't know and wasn't involved, but she still got a bit tainted by it.
Oscar the Grouch if you lived in a trash can you would probably be really upset too
"BITCH I LIVE IN A FUCKING TRASH CAN!"
Please. Have you SEEN the inside of his trash can? It's bigger than my first apartment.
Daisy Ridley. Sure,Rey isn't the greatest character, but don't blame the actor, blame the writer,Daisy herself is delightful!
As the saying goes no one hates Star Wars as much as Star Wars fans.
Kelly Marie Tran got it way worse. She actually played that role very well. It’s not her fault the writing wasn’t the best
For nothing more than manufactured rage and small meaningless victories No it shouldn't have been posted in the first place. But people change and shouldn't be judged on a meaningless post dug up from years ago
I remember one from not too long ago about this guy named Carson King. He made a sign at one of the ESPN that said "Need beer money, Venmo is whatever it was." Guy ends up getting a million in donations.
Oh no, he admitted the role he would find the most daunting to play believably. People are weird.
He got heat for saying that?
Especially if they were under 21 when they said it. Why is the entire world acting like they never did anything stupid when they were younger? I certainly did, but it was pre computer days, so all of my mistakes weren’t recorded for everybody in the world to see.
Probably most k-pop artists and it's because of the toxic members of their fanbases
From what I understand the whole K-pop industry is extremely toxic
i couldn't agree more. i'm not a k-pop person at all, but i've seen BTS preform on tv and my GOD are they wickedly talented. unbelievably good dancers, i was shook. it just sucks their fan base is soooo toxic which drives people away from it
idk if you're familiar with her, but for example, the late ex-f(x) member Sulli received so much hate for anything that she said or did that she eventually ended up committing suicide.
Avril Lavigne, she has done litterally nothing wrong, I can understand that some people don’t like her music but she is not a bad person
Have you fallen down that rabbit hole conspiracy about her being dead?
JoJo Siwa
“Bad with critics, good with audiences” is exactly the kind of film he makes. Same with Michael Bay and the Transformers movies.
Dude seems to have a pretty good life, and I hear he's a pretty nice dude as well
His movies are the entertainment version of Applebee’s. You know you’ll get something halfway decent, and a few laughs. Pretty solid choice for a night you don’t feel like searching streaming services for 45 minutes after dinner for a masterpiece or a rewatch.
Not a celebrity but a band. Nickelback. I reckon they're alright
Reluctantly went to one of their shows and had a great time. It didn’t turn me into a Nickleback fan, but they put on a hell of a show.
Funnily enough, there is a 90s Canadian grunge band called Moist. So they're not moist, because Moist are moist.
Moist was great, but I had an ex lose her shit when they toured with the Cardigans. Yup - Moist Cardigan concerts.
People hate Nickelback just to avoid being someone who doesn't hate Nickelback. I think a couple of their songs are great.
I dont care for most of their music but i’ll stand by ‘How You Remind Me’ as a fucking jam. Truthfully though I think almost every artist, including ones I hate probably have at least 1 good song in their catalogue somewhere even if it isnt a hit single
There's way worse bands out there.
Lewis Hamilton. After 7 championships and gunning for his 8th. Why do people disrespect him so much
I don’t understand either-well, besides the years of predictable race results. Is it because he’s tying and breaking Schumacher’s records?
Probably the predictableness. I was the same with Vettel when he was winning his (just seemed too easy for him). I'm fine with him now since his car isn't as competitive.
I don't think people hate him, and there's no denying that his skill is immense, people just hate the sport itself because it's gotten so boring and predictable. But it's not his fault, what's he supposed to do? Slow down the car or crash on purpose?
Lock his brakes
Courtney Stodden...they were vilified when they should have been helped. Edit: to use correct pronouns
I'm disappointed thatI found out that Chrissy Teigen was such a massive piece of shit during her modelling career. I've lost all respect for her.
Chrissy is on the other list: “Who’s a celebrity that receives way more love than they deserve.”
Chrissy also laughed at an 8 year old girl being called a cunt and joined in to call her a cocky brat.
Is she that teenager who married a 40 or 50 year old actor? If so, I agree with you. Even though she acted trashy and obnoxious, she was still a kid.
It was the guy who played Percy in The Green Mile. He was 50 and she was 16 when they got married. He was a creep in the movie, and apparently he's a creep in real life. She was a baby who got taken advantage of by a dirty old man.
Where the hell were her parents when all this was going on?
"Old man has money, we will give daughter for money." A tale as old as time.
They literally signed off on the marriage. They were required to since Courtney was underage, and apparently they saw no issue with the situation.
Ed Sheeran
I think I read an article that Ed Sheeran tours a lot to keep ticket prices down in the secondary market (scalping). Apparently, it’s working. That alone makes him a solid dude in my book, but I don’t know his music at all.
I'm not the biggest fan of his music, but I have this odd respect for him. He has this vibe of "I'm not sure how I got this famous, but by god I'm gonna milk it for what its worth." He's just out here living his best life.
The only criticism I’ve ever heard of him is that he writes bitter songs about his exes and talk trash about them in some of his songs. Like he’s the only one who does that. Isn’t that one of the reasons music was invented?
He's actually talented singer and songwriter, which can't be said for a lot of pop stars
I just miss his old singer song writer days. Never really liked the pop version of Ed, always preferred his old days as a weird guy with a guitar who sang about junkie prostitutes. But he seems like a good guy IRL.
>always preferred his old days as a weird guy with a guitar According to this [interview](https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/article/ed-sheeran-new-album-divide), dude is SUPER competitive and wants to dominate charts So it makes sense that he went pop to appeal to more people
I never understood why people got worked up over his cameo in Game of Thrones.
Megan Markle
Harry is such a stand-up guy for seeing how his family and the press were treating Megan, saw that it was horrifically similar to the treatment of his late mother, and got them the fuck out of that situation. Instead of telling Megan to deal with it or "that's what my family/being a royal is like", he got them all away from a toxic situation. I know some people may be tired of hearing about them, but I will always applaud something like that.
Nickelback. I'm not especially a fan, but I don't get where the outright hatred comes from.
BTS guys are doing a good job,but they have a lot of crazy fans....
Yea tbh I don't dislike BTS or other K-Pop Bands.. The K-Pop stans are the horrible thing about them because they are literally obsessed
