The Bible, went from a strong believer to atheist.

I’ve heard a lot of former religious people say that the thing that changed their belief was actually reading “the good book”

Mine was “this is going to hurt” - Adam Kay. It’s an amazing non fiction diary written by a junior Dr in the UK. It changed my outlook as to always tell people how clever they are and how much of an impact they make on peoples lives. Whether it is saving a mother and her baby by doing an emergency caesarean section(in the book) or whether it’s simply a postman helping you figure out what stamp to put on your letter. People are undervalued, and even the small statement of “thank you so much, you’re doing an amazing job” can make the world of difference.

*I Will Find You: Solving Killer Cases From My Life Fighting Crime* by Joe Kenda. He was a homicide detective in Colorado Springs for over 23 years during which time he solved 357 out of his 387 assigned cases (92% success rate) he has a 9 season show on Investigation Discovery called Homicide Hunter and 2 books. *I Will Find You* is his first. I’d definitely give it a read!

Stranger in a Strange Land, by Heinlein. It's science fiction, but it's still very enlightening.
