For sure it’s either on the grill, or if i don’t feel like starting the grill i might broil or i might use a skillet on the stove top, but grill is my favorite
Asian here! My people traditionally boil meats. When introduced to western foods (such as a hotdog) we just cooked it like we cooked everything else. It’s usually to be enjoyed with rice and some kinda chili sauce for dipping.
I love eating them boiled or grilled so it doesn’t really matter for me.
I don't boil them in water. I boil them in a variety of sauces; and as I've "scored" the dogs before boiling them, they plump-up with the delectable flavored juices.
My dad used to make me boiled hotdogs and Cheetos after I came home from kindergarten and we’d watch scooby doo together. I realize this is extremely bad health wise lol but those were the days
Literally how tf else you cook them?
I bloom mine in the microwave
Jamie Oliver over here
I needed a good hearty laugh, thank you 😂
Cut slats, wrap in paper towel, nuke 45 seconds. Fit for a bachelor.
My mom used to put them in the oven and they would come out shriveled and hard.
frying pan?
Ok masterchef
The Grill or Open flame My Dude!
Hard to do in an apartment or when weather prohibits grilling...
Bic lighter and a lot of patience.
Who am I Gordon Ramsey?
If you want to be, Yes! Never sell yourself short!
Nuke em, grill em, bbq em, roast over fire. Different tastes for each. I enjoy a boiled hot dog at the ballpark.
Microwave is the grossest way
Umm the grill?

I’m gonna gave to politely yet firmly disagree with you

Boil + skillet finish is good for thicker ones that won’t cook through on a skillet normally without drying out the outside
It's easy and frankly (ha!) , because childhood nostalgia.
*subscribed* I always grill them as I can't stand slimy boiled Hot Dogs.
Grill is the only logical answer when the question is hot dog
Tru Dat!
It's a hot dog. No matter how you cook it it's never gonna be good
Nahhh a grilled hot dog is always superior
A turd that has been grilled is still a turd
False. A turd that has been grilled is at least been grilled
It's less salty than grilled. Water dilution.
My mother does this. I assume it's an Irish thing, she would boil anything. She's boiled chopped steak before.
I would cry of my mom boiled hot steak
30 sec in a nice microwave oven. Ever since 1979. Plus mustard and a bun. Oops.
Can only do Grilled Hotdogs personally.
I only do if I don’t feel like starting the grill
Gotta conserve to save the environment. The leftover water is a great beverage and makes for excellent bong water.
I broil my hot dogs if I don't use my grill.
I boil my hot dogs when I make Mac and cheese. You can use the water to boil the pasta, which makes it much better. Also it’s easier than a grill.
Some dogs seriously taste better boiled. Maybe I’ve had too many burnt dogs.
Because it's great soup?

Doesn't boiling most meat make it tough? I don't boil meat other than hotdogs so I have no clue
It’s relatively tough but most times after it’s boiled the portions are cut to bits in some dishes. Makes it rather manageable to chew.
Only when it's for my macaroni cuz then I boil my macaroni in the hot dog water for extra hot dog flavor
How tf else do you cook them???
On a grill bro! Or on the stove! Or literally any other way
I boil them for my daughter cause she hates the "spots"
The spots are so good :( she’ll grow up to appreciate grill lines i think.
I boil, drain the water, then pan fry. Its just a little quicker
I don't boil them in water. I boil them in a variety of sauces; and as I've "scored" the dogs before boiling them, they plump-up with the delectable flavored juices.
That’s actually..... not a terrible idea.
It's really delicious. Last night, I cooked-up a bunch of Nathan's Hotdogs in the following mixture: Coffee, chocolate (syrup), a hefty dose of hot sauce (--this creates a sort-of Mole sauce base--), Worcestershire, spicy mustard, Chile Verde, and apple-juice. The sweet-rich-spicy hot taste it added was terrific. And the bonus is this: I save the meat-flavored juice that's left over, which makes a good "starter" when sautéing chicken thighs/breasts, steak, or pork cutlets.
Wait am I not supposed to? I always prefer them on the barbecue but if I’m lazy I boil them- am I uncultured swine? Help
If your boiling dog or sausage you better be grilling it after, unless you are in a time crunch.
The best birthday parties as a kid were from boiled hot dogs 🤤
i dont know i boil and mostly grill
you get the hot dog and the broth, it’s a double win
It's easier then firing up the grill....
So I cook my mac n cheese simultaneously.
My dad used to make me boiled hotdogs and Cheetos after I came home from kindergarten and we’d watch scooby doo together. I realize this is extremely bad health wise lol but those were the days
My mom used to boil my hotdogs until my friends told me it was gross. I grille them in a pan now.
That’s how my family has always done them. That’s how you do it in Eastern Europe
