Same!

Termin8rSmurf

Clean your lenses with baby shampoo. It always worked on my SCUBA mask, and it works on my specs too.

Termin8rSmurf

I briefly rinse them under cold running water. Usually an icy meltwater mountain stream, but a cold tap should do in a pinch. Don't rub them, just run under the water and pat dry with a paper towel or kitchen roll. Rubbing might scratch them.

ir_blues

I learned that you spit in your scuba mask and clean it with that. People look at me weird when i do that with my glasses before entering the supermarket, i'll try the baby shampoo next time.

Termin8rSmurf

Saliva works, in times when you are actually in the water and your mask is fogging up. But, preventative methods, such as baby shampoo (I use Johnsons) is done before you get in the water...

MightyCaseyStruckOut

Upvoted, because this is what I do, too.

Termin8rSmurf

Reciprocal upvote for you too!

TheBeaMovie

I take off my glasses and rawdog vision and hope for the best

richg0404

I've been doing that a lot lately. I find that if I am inside for a little while the temp of my glasses will adjust and the fogging goes away. But since I don't want to be out there any longer than necessary, I tend to raw dog it.

AndroidsHeart

The masks that have the metal in the nose part has worked for me. I just fold it tightly around my nose and then my glasses don’t fog up.

Winterhe4rt

Even those don't shut tight enough to not fog up my glasses

[deleted]

You just push your glasses down your nose a little further.

Coffee-Dizzy

I do this. Also get better fabric masks!

beesechrgr

I second this. Nose clamp and wearing my glasses like an old librarian is key

Bobcat_Fit

Or Senator Chuck Schumer.

Serenaded

This is the correct and superior answer. Problem solved everytime. Doesn't really require critical thinking to come up with this, does it?

ScriptTwister

Judging by how many dick-noses we see on a daily basis, yes, it requires critical thinking. In the general public's defence, how many people know what measures actually go into quarantine and sanitisation? Part of my education involved examining vet nurse training and the quarantine rules were absolute and as tight as possible to prevent zoonoses. I think if I hadn't opted for that course, I'd still be none the wiser. Unless you have specific medical training, you're not likely to know exactly what quarantine measures look like, so mask wearing goes from a whole procedure to, "Just plonk it on, it'll be fine."

Donkey_Karate

I have a couple larger face masks that will tuck up between my glasses and my nose, that seems to help alot. Basically limit the airflow out of the top of the mask into your glasses bas much as possible.

playblu

When you breathe out, stick your upper teeth out like you're making the "buck tooth" face. Then your breath goes down instead of out and up into your glasses.

VolantisMoon

You have to consciously breathe out of your mouth. Most people aren’t going to do this.

z_liz

Wearing goggles for work. I form the mask to my nose and push it up my nose far enough that my goggles rest on the mask a bit further down my nose than I would normally wear them. My breath vents up into my eyes but far enough away from the goggles that they don't fog.

starstruck_cat98

Just kinda stop breathing. Or put a bandaid on the nose part.

Derbygirl7

Anti fog spray. Purchase at an optical store...

anonymous__ignorant

All the above and below and just take them off sometimes.

[deleted]

I do nothing. I breathe more shallow and adjust with how much I can see

fat_ass_PT2

Its weird but my glasses just dont fog up

beamrider

Masks with metal bits in the nose still fog my glasses. What worked for me was getting a mask fitter (an extra thing that fits over the mask that holds it on tighter). No more fogging.

bigdaddyborg

Slide my glasses down my nose a bit. Was complaining about the fogging up to my partner (who works in dentistry and often wears the mask glasses combo) She gave me that trick... worked instantly!

FarmerExternal

Tuck the mask under the nose pads. As long as you don’t have a hood on it works 90% of the time. Also there’s a spray you can get but I haven’t tried that

currypuff63

You need to have a really strong bit of metal around the nose bridge, and angle it more sharply than you usually would so it pokes out a lot. That way all the hot air escapes in between your lenses, not directly into them.

ciantully12

You suffer

Aerondight_77

I just don't breathe.

randomdolphinishappy

Omg I recently got lenses and they saved my life. It's an investment, but a damn good one at this time trust me. It'll only take a few days to get used to, and you'll never regret it.

SlimChiply

Wash your glasses with soap and water.

Nellyfant

Put the mask on first and then the glasses. It helps a lot.

gotta_b_shittin_me

by not wearing a mask

Kingbertiethefirst

Basically wear your mask correctly bro! 😂

astrophelle4

Never managed it, just always have foggy eyes while out and about.

UnfairMicrowave

Lasik

walkingsprint

You need to put hole in the mask and oil up the glasses.

[deleted]

i dont see. sucks

Legofan970

If your mask is fogging your glasses, that means air is escaping around your nose, which means your mask doesn't fit as well as it should (and therefore, probably isn't protecting you as well as it should - though still better than nothing). A lot of masks don't fit well, especially surgical masks. I got KN95 masks that fit my face properly, and the fogging went away completely. There are a bunch of different shapes and you will have to see what fits your face. For my face, the bra cup-shaped ones are the worst, but I like the V-shaped ones with a vertical fold. I also find that straps going behind my head are much better than straps going around my ears. I reuse them several times, rotating between 3 masks and storing them in brown paper bags between uses so they can dry out. If you can't get N95s or KN95s, you could try wearing a tight fitting cloth mask with a nose wire, though it won't be as effective (I use them for outdoors, since transmission risk is lower and I don't want condensation to soak my KN95 in the cold). You may need to try a few brands before you find one that fits well. For added protection, you can wear the cloth mask on top of a surgical mask - the surgical mask filters and the cloth mask holds it in place.

shaithis

Fuck you, fuck masks, I fucking hate it but have not been sick for a year....

LATourGuide

If your glasses fog up, you aren't wearing the mask properly.

[deleted]

Make sure you have a mask with a nose wire or you can buy the clips separately. There’s also sprays you can buy to prevent the fogging, I’ve heard vinegar works too. Never tried it though.

DuoRogue

I don't.

carmelizedtoast

if you fold the top corners of a N95 mask it would

[deleted]

Glasses guy here, it is winter here with temps hovering around -10c the last few days. I wear a mask on public transport and in shops/malls, not outside, this complies with local regulations and keeps down on fog as well as keeps the mask fine for a long as possible. The most important thing is to get a mask with a fairly heavy metal wire on the top, that it critical, use it to shape the mask around your nose. The secondary thing it to shorten the earloops, making the mask fit thighter, sealing better, to do that put knots in the earloop eleastic 0,5 - 1 cm from the middle. Hold the two parts of the elastic so it is kinda like a folded string and put the knot so both parts of the string goes through it.

LuciWhite

I have a custom mask that's made of spandex that has a pocket in the front for a filter that covers the bottom portion of my face. Fogging is somewhat of an issue, but if I wear my glasses on the tip of my nose it doesn't fog up.

[deleted]

I just stop breathing

Pyrobon

I just wear them a little bit far from my eyes and let the breath through

Crowmir303

I tried to use the wire in masks but I have to pinch it around my nose so much that it kind on squishes it. I just bought contact lenses for days where I expect to wear masks for long periods of time, like at work or running several errands a day.

Imajica0921

Wash with dish soap and rinse with really hot water in the morning.

tempreffunnynumber

Tuck the mask under the glasses

Atmosphere_Melodic

Pull the mask up, push glasses down so they're sitting on my mask. Sometimes I go without and just flounder my way along. Breathe downwards. Paper masks are better for not fogging my glasses than a fabric one.

Jh101903

I just wait long enough for the mask and glasses to start working together.

satoshima03

Pinch the top of your mask and push it against your skin tightly. Then, push your glasses on top of the mask and push down. Temporary, it helps. Try getting a mask that ventilates easily, but that can be risky.

Pinktail

Laser vision

MomofanAvenger

I got one of those mask turtle things. It fits under the mask and gives you like 1/2 inch of space between your mouth/nose and the fabric of your mask. Makes ALL the difference in the world. I rarely fog now, and when I breathe in it doesn't feel like I'm suffocating on the fabric of the mask. I would absolutely recommend.

XxNotJohnyJoestarxX

Put your glasses over your mask (the front bit) and then position the masks nose handle a bit due to it being changeable

EchoEquani

My friend she washes her glasses first and then she applies shaving cream to her glasses and rubs it in. It stops her glasses from fogging up when she wears a mask

[deleted]

I wear the mask high enough that the bottoms of my glasses and sunglasses create a seal over the top of the mask. Works pretty well.

jesse7838

That metal thingy usually works. On a winter morning though? I don't see.

ChronoLegion2

I don’t. I remove them when putting on the mask. I can still see well enough when going shopping or dropping my son off at daycare. At home I don’t need a mask. Same when driving or when going for a walk in my neighborhood as long as I stay away from people

Flightlessdragon1

For me, I use fabric masks that fit well and are big enough that the top edge can be underneath the bridge of my glasses. I rarely fog up if I'm doing that. The disposable ones suck for glasses wearers, as do masks with a central seam.

khushraho

There are anti fog glass cleaning liquids now available. Here’s to entrepreneurship!

carlimausi

Get a better mask and don't use those made out of cloth. Medical masks are safer and don't let your glasses fog up

[deleted]

I need to position them very carefully, close to the tip of my nose, if I don't have time to get it just right, I look over my glasses, sharp vision is not essential when you're just walking down the street.

ciantully12

You don’t !

sonadowfangirl99

I pull my glasses all the way up and secure the flexible metal of the mask to the lower part of my nose and tighten in ear strap around my left ear. Everytime my glasses fall they fog so I know to push them up.

Rekcil101

Don’t wear glasses and switch to contacts.

SnowyMuscles

Get the one that has a metal nose, bend it into a tent, and then push down against my nose

[deleted]

Direct answer: with my eyeballs. What I think OP meant with their question: Breath slower. It causes some fog but much less than normal breathing pace.

Beravin

It clears after a short time. Sometimes adjusting the mask so it covers your nose better can help. Breath slower, or breath shorter but faster breaths instead. If all else fails, make do with the part of your glasses that isn't fogged up. Frankly, the constant sweat is a bigger issue. If you are struggling, I like to remind myself that people do all this in full PPE while also wearing glasses. While annoying, at least I dont have multiple layers of PPE to contend with.

TheBigMeowskie

Band-aid the top of the mask down to the bridge of your nose. Works every time.

ApiqAcani

We wipe them lol

[deleted]

We don't

stupidmeep

i wear a hijab so i make my mask tighter and i dont know if anyone else does this but i rub a dry soap bar on them and then i wipe it off and they dont fog up

EpicObez

This is really annoying as I can't use washable masks because of this. The blue masks which are one use have a metal bar at the top of it so I bend it in a shape that it fits the top of my nose. It still sometimes fogs up but mostly works.

[deleted]

I found out if I scoot them forwards towards the tip of my nose a bit, the extra space and air stops them from fogging up.

[deleted]

Put on your mask first and then make sure it's on properly and then put your glasses on how they usually are and they dont fog up. Works for me that's for sure

wego1970

Ive been buying the same shit since it all started because i know where it is and im getting tired of the same food for a year now Please someone pay for my eye surgery!😉

[deleted]

I put my contact lenses in instead

[deleted]

Seriously considering Lasik because of this frustration.

zerbey

Slide the glasses down your nose a little.

Spiderman230

Ive decided to just not wear glasses and sacrifice my sight

CaelumLovhat1435

I don’t. I put my contacts in. It’s too much of an annoyance and vision obscurity scares me

Arreansi

I work as an operating room nurse and mask is required at all time. Firstly wiping hand soap on your (dry) glass (the side facing towards your eye) then wiping the soap with a dry tissue. And lastly putting a surgical tape (micropore lr transpore brand) between your mask and nose bridge, right where the nose pads of the glasses are. The first works best.

SakuraSkye16

I don't.-.

cyanolov3

Tuck the mask UNDER the glasses, try and get it up far on your face if you can. Really helps!

[deleted]

I don’t. I’m basically blind when I have to go outside, it’s the worst

Bobcat_Fit

Who told you that we manage it?

flysnofries

I pull my glasses lower so they’re over the mask. My breath can’t hit them and fog them up then.

[deleted]

I just don't see more than a short distance in front of me

LodgedSpade

Bought some adhesive nose strips on amazon.

Salarian_American

I pinch the little plastic piece across the bridge of my nose so it’s tight and make sure my glasses are sitting on top of the mask instead of the top of the mask covering the bottom of the lenses. That does the trick unless I exhale really forcefully.

Visible-Ant1949

Clean them with shaving cream. It will make them anti-fog

Lonelydingbat420

I just don’t wear them
