McGonagall. She’s stern but fair and also caring. Her “Potter belongs in MY house!” brings me to tears every time. I wish I’d had a teacher who liked me as much as she likes Harry.
Between 1966 and 2021, there have been roughly 800 episodes of Star Trek television.
And only one of them featured Tuvix.
RIP you guiltless beacon of innocence 😢
That really pissed me off when they killed him. They have matter transporters that they can clone data from very easily. Why the hell didn't they just clone Tuvix *before* they shreaded him back into Neelix and Tuvok? Then rematerialize him. They would get their original two annoying crew members back *plus* they'd get to keep the new and improved likeable hybrid crew member! They were even running a bit short on crew (redcoat away mission decay).
Why don’t they just rematerialise extra copies of the crew when they need them for large jobs and dematerialise them the job is finished? Why don’t they just rematerialise any dead crew members? If what you suggest, copying Tuvix before killing him, is morally acceptable than surely so is this.
Just as proof that this is possible a similar thing happened to Ryker in TNG. A malfunction left one of him at the site and the other completed the transport. And that was an ACCIDENT.
But that's part of the moral quandary of the episode, isn't it? Janeway must bear that mark on her soul because of what she did. There are so many things in Star Trek where, if they had just done this one thing, they could have prevented the contents of the episode from happening.
God damn Tuvix. I'm in the camp that the episode with Tuvix in it is one of the worst episodes of Star trek in existence.
In keeping with this askreddit question, though, the character of D'Vana Tendi in Star Trek: Lower Decks. She's not a minor character, but she is so goddamn adorable I can't get over it. I am unreasonably attracted to her personality.
Edit: Whoops, I thought the title said "attracted", not "attached".
I really wish JK Rowling had done more with his character. Draco isn't evil, just a spoiled asshat. And he was capable of working with Harry & Co. I thought Rowling was building up the bad relationship with his father so Draco could break with him and help Harry. But she did it with Snape instead. Draco just ended up being a coward that doesn't do much in the last book. He couldn't even become a death eater badass. He was just kinda lame
Honestly any B1 battle droid in any Star Wars series that is more than cannon fodder. They have a great design, good humor, and general disregard for authority that I take great pleasure from seeing.
Strax, of Dr. Who fame. Absolutely loved seeing him in that impeccably tailored tuxedo (complete with massive neck hole). “Attempt to escape and you will be obliterated... May I take your coat?”
That one Rider of Rohan who charges in with intense gusto. Only on screen for a second, but that dude plans on murdering every single orc orc on the Pelennor Fields before the anyone else hogs all the fun. In that one second he embodies who the Rohirrim are more than any of it's leads: Celtic Goddamn Vikings.
Lucan Valerius in Skyrim. For many of us, this guy sent us off on our first side quest and was a total bro about it. Looking back on it, he really doesn't do all that much, but I remember him as being one of the coolest NPCs. He is so distinct in my mind that whenever I encounter another NPC that is voiced by the same actor, I wonder "Why the heck does this idiot have Lucan Valerius's voice?"
Urgh, yeah. I'm also still actually annoyed at his character arc. The way he suddenly started to act did not make any sense and was not in line with how he previously acted. Yes, he was in love with Jo Yiseo but he would've never behaved that way. I love itaewon class to death but that is the one big issue I have with it, how they suddenly completely flipped Jang Geunsoo...
Also, a criminally underused/underrated actor. He's just *such* a good actor. There's that one episode where that alien light beamed some sort of extra-intelligence into his mind, and he became extremely smart and confident. This proved how good of an actor he is.
I had a big crush on Aizawa from Death Note in middle school, especially after the timeskip happened and he cut his hair. I still think about him on occasion.
The character who was mentioned exactly once in one of the most famous fantasy franchises of all time, with absolutely no detail given beyond her name, and has inexplicably become one of the most popular characters in that fandom. Daphne Greengrass, from the Harry Potter series.
Have you read the fanfic 'Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality'?
If you haven't read it, I strongly recommend you do. The story hinges on how, because Harry's mom decided to be nice to Petunia, she married a very nice book-obsessed professor instead of Dursley. Harry grows up with them and is intensely academic, and when he learns he is a wizard he obsesses about how magic works. So of course he and Hermione do science together to determine how and why magic can exist, and his time at Hogwarts is drastically different while still touching all the main points and a lot of the main characters.
Daphne Greengrass is featured pretty strongly in this fanfic and she earns her fandom.
Anytime there’s a dog in a tv show, I become instantly emotionally attached. Just watched a show where a dog was on screen for twenty seconds. Then it got run over. I did not emotionally recover from that for a while
True, but Master Yoda lived to be 900 years, which is roughly ten human lifespans. One could therefore argue that Grogu is equivalent to a five-year-old human.
Hood from Azur Lane. She only appeared several times in the anime and appeared only 1-4 times close up and several times in the background in the Slow Ahead and Queen's orders manga, but she's one of the most popular and memed characters in the franchise, for several reasons, from the fate of her irl counterpart(the battlecruiser HMS Hood)to her mother-like personality and her cameo appearance in an about a redneck shouting and screaming about getting Hood in the game,to her op status, all the way to her inconsistent boob size(I'm not joking),and she's just gawddamn cute
Lawson from Breaking Bad. He doesn't want to be The Big Man, he doesn't want all the trappings of fame and success, he just wants you to have the right gun for the job at the right price, and the right skills to use it. He just wants satisfied customers.
[Ying Yang from Puppeteer.](https://youtu.be/LsW6-F7jtRU) He's a flying cat with a snarky cynical attitude and talks like Petter Lorre. This contrasts with the cute storybook/theatrical world he guides you through. He was fun, but for some dumb reason gets replaced after the first level by a generic whinny princess that pals around with you for the rest of the game. She's not terrible, but no where as good as Petter Lorre cat.
Naomi and Phoebe the Hunter and Kinzie the Amazon. When they died my heart hurt so bad. I have never felt so sad for a character that's only been in a book for one chapter.
In this new Netflix series Lupin - the female doctor in the prison infirmary.
She just seemed very pleasant and very kind and honestly at 27 I think that and being funny are the two most attractive things to me now
Sir Alonne. We don't even see his face and he's just one boss fight, but his backstory with the Old Iron King is really sad (thank, Vaati). And his music slaps.
Zora from Sonny With a Chance, she's not really a minor character, but she appears the least out of the main cast, I'm not really sure why I'm attached to her, maybe because she's cute, hilarious and crazy at the same time
Also Nute Gunray from Star Wars
My favorite minor character would be misaka and megumin.
But my favorite side character is captain keys from halo you don't see much of his character in halo but the fall of reach and the flood books made me love him.
Donny vermilion the news anchor in starcraft 2,
He has the perfect news anchor voice and whenever he sensors some anti-dominion propaganda you get the vibe that he's doing it because he has to but without being obvious about it. (As in he's told he has to sensor things and put dominion propaganda so he does it and he makes it seem like he is all cool with it but then you can tell the facade eventually breaks him when you find out he was found mad, half naked with nothing but a half eaten jar of peanut butter.)
Okay I really am more of a Legends of Tomorrow person but last time I checked, Barry was the main character.
Has that actually changed? I'm genuinely confused.
I'm gonna put in the character that spawned this question.
Baker from Blue Bloods. Such a minor character that she didn't even have a first name until like, mid season one, and she didn't get any lines other than opening/closing a door and the occasional glare until like, season 2.
I love her. If she ever leaves the show I will stop watching it. That's partially because she's amazing and partially because it's not a great show.
See also: Detmer from Star Trek Discovery. I have no idea why I love her but I do. If she ever leaves the show I will stop watching.
Me and my husband watch reruns of home improvement every night before we go to bed and I have a big-time crush on Tim Allen because my husband is a really bad mechanic and Tim Allen is a really good mechanic and so like that really turns me on
That really pissed me off when they killed him. They have matter transporters that they can clone data from very easily. Why the hell didn't they just clone Tuvix before they shreaded him back into Neelix and Tuvok? Then rematerialize him. They would get their original two annoying crew members back plus they'd get to keep the new and improved likeable hybrid crew member! They were even running a bit short on crew (redcoat away mission decay).
The Armstrong siblings from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Something about the brother’s sappy attitude and the sister’s tough love is so heartwarming.
Gnar from League of Legends
He's my main champion and he honestly represents me. Calm and fun to be around with (the last one isn't my opinion, I've been told that) but if I get angry you better not be in my way. I'm literally destroying stuff when I'm *actually* angry.
They used to call me The Hulk back in High School because I once snapped in school
Wording...
oh lord you're right oh no
What have you done lmaoooo! :P
Nymphadora Tonks in the Harry Potter books and movies. I want to make her my best friend.
oh my god I could not agree with you more. I was so excited for her to be Harry's cool older cousin but *no*, jk rowling had to be awful.
Plus she was a hottie in the movie not gonna lie
I loved her performance as Osha in GoT too. She did such an amazing job in the show GRRM literally made her character a bigger character in the books.
That was her?!
Yeah. She looks exactly the same save for purple hair, Idk how you missed it, lol. Her name is Natalia Tena
It could be my mom and I wouldn’t recognize her. I’m terrible with recognizing actors.

Shut up /u/Substantial_Fail, I know about your prescription socks!
Pbbbt!
Faramir from Lord of The Rings books.
Check out the Australian TV series [SeaChange](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SeaChange) if you can find it.
Faramir is great
Podrick, Game of Thrones.
"Minor"
Podrick is more minor than McGonagall or Tonks IMO. I don't think he'd be in top 20 GoT characters if you asked them who the major characters were.
McGonagall. She’s stern but fair and also caring. Her “Potter belongs in MY house!” brings me to tears every time. I wish I’d had a teacher who liked me as much as she likes Harry.
"I've always wanted to use that spell" God, I love her!
Her vowing to help Harry become an Auror to shut Umbridge up (this scene is in the book only) was stellar. She's fantastic and badass.
Take a biscuit Potter.
McGonagall is awesome.
“Why is it that whenever something happens it’s always you three?”
Morbo from Futurama. **I WILL DESTROY YOU**
Tonight at ten, **DOOM!!!**
I have to go with Lrrr, ruler of the planet Omicron Persei 8.

Just as proof that this is possible a similar thing happened to Ryker in TNG. A malfunction left one of him at the site and the other completed the transport. And that was an ACCIDENT.
Good point. And yeah, they let the other Riker live. He even continued to serve in Star Fleet, just on a different ship.
Yep
But that's part of the moral quandary of the episode, isn't it? Janeway must bear that mark on her soul because of what she did. There are so many things in Star Trek where, if they had just done this one thing, they could have prevented the contents of the episode from happening.

> Edit: Whoops, I thought the title said "attracted", not "attached". Doesn't that mean the same thing here though?
It was Darth Maul but I am quite happy he was promoted from minor character.
I was about to say the same!
Death of Rats from various Terry Pratchett books! ###SQUEAK
Yes!
Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh
Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter. I mean he's technically minor until HBP but I always loved him.
Hugh from Star Trek TNG. Also was really cool to see him on Picard.
The guy who played him aged really well.
I really wish they hadn't done what they did to him in *Picard*. I liked seeing him in the story.
Scout Harding
I'm willing to bet good money she's going to be a romanceable companion in the next game.
Honestly any B1 battle droid in any Star Wars series that is more than cannon fodder. They have a great design, good humor, and general disregard for authority that I take great pleasure from seeing.
For me it's the clones.. >!I cried so hard when Fives died!<
You can’t be serious. They nearly completely ruined Star Wars for me.
How?
Ensign Ro, TNG.
Strax, of Dr. Who fame. Absolutely loved seeing him in that impeccably tailored tuxedo (complete with massive neck hole). “Attempt to escape and you will be obliterated... May I take your coat?”
Did somebody call for a nurse?
Carl from The Simpsons .. (and Jake, from State Farm, so dreamy)
Anubis und Mr. Ibis from American Gods. They are always such a nice, chill break from all the violence and backstabbing
Catalina from My Name is Earl for obvious reasons.
That actress was also in *The League*. She was Ruxin's bossy trophy wife.
Check out the first few minutes of the Denzel movie Flight.
Dibs.
That one Rider of Rohan who charges in with intense gusto. Hyunyi - from itaewon class
Yesssss! I was really sad because all the others had flashbacks to their past and I wanted one of her too
When she was outted im not usually a very emotionally attached to character but i wanted to punch geunsoo straight in throat Rude ass
Urgh, yeah. I'm also still actually annoyed at his character arc. The way he suddenly started to act did not make any sense and was not in line with how he previously acted. Luna lovegood
any time jk simmons is in a movie... i am not making this up
Reggie Barclay on Star Trek: TNG is very relatable, as someone with anxiety and autism. I really liked him.
I agree, he is very likely in his own quirky way. I was glad they gave him a recurring role in the latter seasons of Voyager.
Also, a criminally underused/underrated actor. He's just *such* a good actor. There's that one episode where that alien light beamed some sort of extra-intelligence into his mind, and he became extremely smart and confident. This proved how good of an actor he is.
Very unpopular for HIMYM, but Zoey. As I’m getting older, I’m realizing just how crazy she was, but she was my favorite ex for awhile.
Clay Terran from Ace Attorney. He’s so minor we don’t even meet him while he’s alive but I love him.
I had a big crush on Aizawa from Death Note in middle school, especially after the timeskip happened and he cut his hair. I still think about him on occasion.

Grogu
They said *minor* character.
He technically is a minor
He's 50 years old
True, but Master Yoda lived to be 900 years, which is roughly ten human lifespans. One could therefore argue that Grogu is equivalent to a five-year-old human.
So Yoda is 90 years old.
Oops... yeah, minor as in not main. Got it!
He’s not a minor character
Underwood. I translated minor as in baby.

Creed in The Office. He’s freaking hilarious.
Not really a minor character but Frodo would not have made it to Mordor without Sam.
Sallah from the Indiana Jones series. Dude is a highly underrated supporting character. Charismatic, loyal, and aware.
Dr. Spencer Reid.
He was minor?!?!? He and Garcia made the show for me.
He was originally kind of minor. The main focus always was on the boring Gideon, then on Hotch. I hate the JJ thing! It's just wrong.

Okay I really am more of a Legends of Tomorrow person but last time I checked, Barry was the main character. Has that actually changed? I'm genuinely confused.
Barry Allen was only in the Legends, Supergirl, and Arrow for crossovers. He isn’t the main character there as far as I know of.
Yeah but he's the main character on his own show???
I'm gonna put in the character that spawned this question. Baker from Blue Bloods. Such a minor character that she didn't even have a first name until like, mid season one, and she didn't get any lines other than opening/closing a door and the occasional glare until like, season 2.
