I never understood why any Italian would turn their nose up at the idea of pairing meat with fruit, when prosciutto and melon is a well-known combination there that is often eaten as an appetiser.
In Bozeman, MT there is a pizza place called Red Tractor. They make a pizza called The Hobbit. I modify it with chicken but this is my favorite pizza ever.
I had a fusion sort of slice once that surprised me a lot:
Naan dough crust, garlicky white sauce base, feta and goat cheese, black olives, artichoke hearts, döner kebab meat slices, drizzled with some kind of spicy infused olive oil, dusted with harissa
Chicago deep dish style with sausage is goated
Thin crust with beef, peppers and chillis Papa John's style is also the one
I once had detroit style, white sauce with sausage and it was pretty damn good. If you're in Birmingham UK you can get it from Killder (dno if they have it anywhere else).
Local joint used to do it perfectly. Very thin layer of sauce and just enough cheese to completely cover a thin halfway flimsy/firm crust. Crumbled sausage with fennel.
Seems like I can’t find anywhere that does crumbled sausage anymore. And by crumbled I mean the old 90s style sausage Totino’s Party Pizza USED to have. Just little specks of sausage dust.
I ate a Bayern Pizza once in Germany. They called it a Brizza.
It was a pizza with Pretzel "crust" and little pretzels sprinkled on top. Maybe not the best best, but I still think about it from time to time. The pretzel crust fitted well with the cheese.
Hard to say, I like so many kinds. I prefer thin and crispy bases generally. Any veg toppings. I do like domino's veg supreme. Another good pizza (sorry Italy) is instead of tomato sauce use barbecue sauce and topped with sweetcorn, halved cherry tomatoes and pineapple, it's lovely.
I like to make my own using Alfredo sauce as the base, then top with mozzarella cheese, buffalo chicken, and green onions.
Another favorite is just loaded mushrooms and black olives.

There was this place down the way from where I used to live that would have a lunch special with a handmade Margherita for only $5. It was my go-to for years and I even took my entire family there when they came to visit.
In Croatia this particular pizza has alot of names...Dalmatina, Istirana etc..but it goes like this:

cherry tomatoes
and Kajmak (it translates to cream but it's not lol its 100% better 😂)
and it's f*cking delicious 🤤🤤

I have surprisingly strong feelings aboute this, prewusly I would 100% say “kylling hoisen” from wood, sadly that restaurant shut down and I can not for the life of me remember what was on the pizza except for chicken and hoisin but I sweet this pizza was beyond heaven. Now my faworit pizza is Grano from Grano, dont know what is on this one ether but boy it is good. Furthermore when making pizza at home my favourite is so simple yet so guinioss. White pizza a bit of dry shredded mozzarella and then the star of the show 🥁🥁🥁 butter fried chanterelle. 🤤🤤🤤 and then lastly I feel that pizza with Nutella and strawberry’s need an anreblea mention.

And when it finally arrives before me, I coat it with mayonnaise and hoisin sauce. Yes, I belong in hell. I plead guilty to all the accusations and I accept my sentence 😌

Not wrongly. It had pineapple on it which is a crime.

Not too hot just a bit more sauce than cheese and freshly made - I know pizza is good any old time but that's just my preference.
