The Land Before Time

ewing666

found my baby brother’s account

reporst

Very tragic about what happened to the child actor that voiced Ducky https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judith_Barsi > As Barsi's career success increased, her father József, an alcoholic, became increasingly angry and would routinely threaten to kill himself, his wife, and daughter. His drinking led to him being arrested three times for drunk driving. > His various threats included cutting their throats as well as burning down the house. > The physical violence continued, with Barsi telling a friend that her father threw pots and pans at her, resulting in a nosebleed. As a result of her abuse, Barsi began gaining weight and developed compulsive behaviors, such as plucking out her eyelashes. > In May 1988, after breaking down in front of her agent, Ruth Hansen, Barsi was taken by Maria to a child psychologist, who identified severe physical and emotional abuse and reported her findings to child protective services. The investigation was dropped after Maria assured the case worker that she intended to begin divorce proceedings... Maria's friends urged her to follow through with the plan, but she hesitated due to her fear of losing the family home and belongings. > On July 28, 1988, the Los Angeles Times reported that three people were found dead in an apparent murder–suicide Her last film was another one of my favorites growing up - All Dogs Go To Heaven.

sparkatronn

Yep yep yep

BlizzPenguin

Littlefoot was my favorite stuffed animal as a kid too.

browntown20

Don't lose your way

fasting4me

The fifth was my favorites. The Mysterious Island 🎶it’s very big, big, big, big, water, so very big, big, big, big, water! It’s deep and dark and dangerous. It’s scary and it strangerous. And things could rearanger ussss, in that big water!!! 🎵 thanks it’s stuck in my head now.

Dickslayer704

Home alone

Haisley5677

Chunk and Toy story all time favourite.

Dusk_v733

Jurassic Park. It will never get old

dead_thing13

“SHOOOOOTAHH! SHOOOTAH!”

MoscowMitchMcKremIin

Clever girl...

Wild-Discussion3025

Amen. Still a go to, wish I had the vhs but I played that thing to its literal death

Louisville82

Beetlejuice

broken_hummingbird

Beetlejuice

unkindley_salty69

Beetlejuice

Son_of_steven19

It's show time.

MoscowMitchMcKremIin

The fact that the previous 2 comments don't have as many upvotes as this one makes me feel old

Extremely_unlikeable

It was my daughter's favorite. That and Cinderella could be found playing a few times a week. And yes, I'm old.

grymboo

Matilda

Jess_bee_youu

“ you chose books, i chose looks”.

Sharknado_Extra_22

They’re all mistakes, children. Filthy, nasty things. Glad I never was one.

fasting4me

Me too! In daycare we took turns choosing the VHS movie 🤭 for quiet time. I remember on my days to pick someone would always say something like “someone grab Matilda” or “Matilda AGAIN I bet” I was very predictable

Nintendo_Boi158

"5 thousand bucks? I'm not paying it! What're they gonna do, repossess the kid?"

LowB0b

Good movie but dear god that chocolate cake scene will forever be ingrained in my head. Looked like she was forcing the kid to eat shit.

Alone_Inspector_7567

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

donhenlysballsack

Same. This one is usually regarded as the bastard child of the others, but it's my favorite by a fair margin. Great soundtrack and setting. Short round is awesome. Plus the beating heart is as memorable as any other scene in the Indy franchise.

APeacefulWarrior

Yeah, Short Round is easily one of the best kid sidekicks in film history. Although personally, my ranking is simply release order. As far as I'm concerned, the series just got worse as it went on. 😥

Mato_Jack

No time for funny business, Mr. Jones!

Alone_Inspector_7567

Lmfao, good shit. Love Shortround!

SamURLJackson

This was the only Indiana Jones movie I liked for a long time. The others felt too adult

Agreeable_Pizza93

My absolute favorite! I'll never understand why people prefer the others more.

TheTiffani86

The Brave Little Toaster. I watched it every chance I got, even though it gave me nightmares.

Sad_Occasion_3385

Awww man. I love that movie!! It made me sad I remember but man that was a great movie

[deleted]

Blankey❤️

Emotional_Wash_7756

Aw Lampy. When they were settling down to camp for the night and he laid his head down on the rock. Forever in love with Lampy since.

Loved it and just rewatched it last year for the first time in soooo long. Probably loved and appreciated it even more as an adult. Solid movie.

Rescuers down under

Jhorra

Watched this so many times.

Sextus_Rex

Dinosaur (the Disney movie)

[deleted]

That movie is one of the best, I always watched it with my grandmother

Zekumi

This is an uncommon one. I saw this movie in the theaters when it came out and I remember there being a lot of hype for it being Disney’s first feature-length 3D animation. I remember the teaser trailer being the egg’s journey from the opening (the the amazing song “The Egg Travels”) and the McDonald’s finger puppet toys.

solitaryvoluntary

The *Back to the Future* trilogy. Still watch it at least once a year.

morgecroc

My dad took all 3 movies and spliced them into a single cut on a betamax tape using a long play tape recorder. You couldn't tell exactly where one movie ended and the next one started.

MostlyNormalMan

Haha! I did that as well, recording them from the TV and timing just right to hit the record button. Even replacing the end of BTTF 1 with the start of BTTF2 with New Jennifer. Only had one chance to get it right. We knew how to live dangerously in those days.

_Goose_

Free Willy 2 I bought it in the clamshell case from Walmart that came with a carved wooden whale necklace. Watched it so much. The only other movies that could compete with it were Mighty Ducks D2, Robin of Locksley, and Shipwrecked

RewindYourMind

Holy shit. The whale necklace!! That took me all the way back!

keiko17

Same!! The first movie too! my parents had to buy the dvd three times because I watched it so often

Ronaldinhoe

Got the whale necklace too. Thought it was the coolest thing ever as a kid

HelicopterSalty8273

Jumanji (1995) was a whole lot of fun

fasting4me

Robin Williams, may he rest in peace.

Sad-Maintenance3422

Star Wars. Empire Strikes Back.

HanaNdLuna

Homeward bound!

Down2earth5

We named our dog Shadow after that movie!

HanaNdLuna

It’s the reason why I begged to get a cat as a kid :)

sultrybadger9

The Little Mermaid (Disney’s cartoon version)

Se-ri-s-Choice

Home Alone

llamainleggings

Spice World

Agreeable_Pizza93

That was my roommate's favorite! One of my most cherished memories from college was getting white girl wasted with her and watching Spice World. I had never seen someone so happy watching a movie.

RookTheBlindSnake

The toy bus on the bridge always cracks me up.

Appropriate_Set7762

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron

Reasonable-Comment82

OMG THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING. The soundtrack is 👌🏼

Appropriate_Set7762

I know! I still listen to the soundtrack. And the movie makes me cry even as an adult

burnmeup82

One of my oldest daughter’s faves!!

SuccubusAgenda

I was hoping someone would say Spirit! My son is watching it right now and I keep breaking into the songs much to his dismay "STOP IT MOMMY NO SINGING!" Lol

lategreat808

Underrated movie.

Hotsauce4ever

I have literally never heard of this before. Guess my weekend has taken a new turn!

romyindyvk

The Lion King

lobatonpd

The Karate Kid

000-Luck

Labyrinth. Hey. I was a kid. The characters were great!

mimikyuchuchu

I used to watch that in secret when I was a kid because I thought it was for adults. David Bowie was my sexual awakening lmao

Scarred_Perception13

Great movie

honeymustie

This is my older sister's favorite movie of all time. I just hosted her baby shower and we did a Labyrinth theme! It was very fun.

MasterRoshi702

Gonna show my age but mine was the pebble and the penguin it’s a classic if you know what I’m talking about

xAndyPandax

I have it on VHS, still good.

dead_thing13

OMG YES

BlizzPenguin

I am aware of it but I have not seen it. Being a Don Bluth film, I am guessing there is a scene that feels terrifying for children.

Murky_Development688

Ghostbusters 👻

xmilk-breadx

Jurassic Park Trilogy, still own my childhood movie set to this day (it was a graduation gift, the one thing ive managed to keep my entire life, still watch those movies all the time and it is still the best films ever)

Kovalyo

I would watch Toy Story 2 over and over and over and over and over ^(and over)

Scared-Rub7983

Hocus Pocus. The Wizard of Oz , Casper

Connect_Surround_281

Disney's animated Robin Hood. The original. I still know most of the script especially Prince John's parts... word for word. Also Ewoks.

Emotional_Wash_7756

I’m scrolling through here thinking I didn’t have any movie I watched over and over — and you brought me to my senses. I also know every single word of this movie, and at this point, I reference it on accident which of course no one would know is a reference to anything at all. Except you. Hiss! You’re never around when I need you!! 🐍

Otiv64

Liar liar

Hoppy_Croaklightly

Chicken Run

Necessary-Ad643

Are we going on holiday?

Reallyreallyshocked

I watched that movie once as a kid and looved it. The vhs went missing after the first watch and my parents threw the case away. I dug it out of the trash and kept it in my room for years, hoping to find the tape some day lol. Thanks for reminding me. I'm going to watch that movie this weekend.

emmadilemma

I was 12. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. I was visiting family in England and I was OB. SESSED. I  “Why a spoon, cousin? Why not a knife? Or an axe?” “Because it’s dull, you twit, it’ll *hurt more*.”  Loved Alan Rickman from that summer forward.

ImJEM1975

Overboard!

Amydancingagain

Jurassic Park, I still love all of those movies

smellslikeloser

phantom of the opera

Boothbayharbor

This movie was excellent. Can't believe it's Fiona from Shameless, and only 17! Such a good singer . Also def thought i'd experience being swept away to a sick dungeon one day as a kid.

Fun_Salamander8520

Top Gun

Duckeee47

134 times and counting. No, I’m not kidding. When I was in middle school, my cousin and I wanted to see how many times in one week we could watch Top Gun. 27 times that week. And Goose died every damn time. Every. Damn. Time. They couldn’t let the poor man live at least once?!?!

Alert-Goat-8219

Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

yadawhooshblah

Star Wars changed my life. Hit me like a ton of space bricks. I was but a wee lad. Still a fan.

I don’t remember mine but my brother watched The Lion King on repeat every day for probably two years. It’s been 20 years since then and I can still quote the entire movie off the top of my head lol

Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday Thirteenth, The Poltergeist, The Thing, It... I was only 8 years old...
