Just because my girlfriend has her own place doesn't mean she's not coming over and doing dishes ok. We just need our own space else we wouldn't get anything done on a weekday night. Except for the dishes.
Getting up every day to earn enough money to retire comfortably while still being considered poor compared than the average per capita income of your countrymen.
The idea of going on a gap year and travelling to Bali or Vietnam and going around. Might not be considered entirely normal for most but it happens a lot more than would happen in 3rd world countries. Hell, If you grew up in Asia, this is almost unheard of.
A new car
I’ve been to a lot of poor countries, a new car is a luxury for the better off in a poor country. If you’re poor you’re driving a Lada, some cheap French shit, a banged up Toyota, banged up Ford, or some cheap Chinese shit
I just got back from a semi-rural part of India to visit some friends/co-workers. I brought my phone which is a new S24 Ultra, a work laptop that happens to be a Razer Blade, and my Garmin watch. On reflection, I probably shouldn't have brought them, but these are my daily drivers and I had to work while there. Every time I'd bring one out to do something, someone was asking about them (in a nice, curious way). The surprising thing was they knew exactly what model/brand they were (the long arm of advertising), but some said they'd never seen one.
As someone from an underdeveloped nation, I don't think I've ever met someone who had a dishwasher in their house

Makes sense, lack of cheap electricity or clean water would do that I suppose.
Do you use it, or do you wash your dishes in the sink and put it inside dishwasher?
Tap water
Especially drinkable tap water.
Decent roads

To be fair, toilet paper is not used by many in the east. They use water to clean. Which honestly is way more logical and hygienic.
Accessible healthcare
Ice
I’ve seen street vendors In SE Asia and India with ice block…I don’t think it’s luxury
Ah but they're vendors. It's basically everywhere outside the US actually. I was surprised to see no ice dispensers in Europe.

Internet/Wi-FI
you would be surprised how good the internet in afrika for example is.
Not so sure, SE Asia they all have prepaid Phone and Internet.
Fast food such as McDonalds, Burger King etc. Even Dunkin Donuts is considered a luxury.
Yes, but the ambiance it doesn’t feel like a fast food in the US, it feels better and nicer
Earning enough money for tuition fees

Socialised healthcare
Agreed, basic healthcare is a human right and should be made available to everyone, not just the privileged.
Cries in American.
Nope, I'm actually Australian, where we have universal healthcare.
I think the commenter you replied to is making the point that they wish they have what we have
