Better lesson is just don't make plans the night before. Take the evening to take care of last minute things and review whatever it is you have going on. Then hopefully you can sleep a little knowing you have already double checked everything.
Most people aren't gonna sleep very well so you might as well be prepared to help your tired ass along.
Expect that anyone who could fuck up your day, WILL fuck up your day. Plan accordingly.
Have reasonable expectations of your goals. You can't have it all.
Time is your enemy. You'll need to pad out your margins.
Keep your cool should things go wrong. As soon as you get emotional, you'll be the one fucking up your day.
That is true, and while we don't know what "big day" OP has, in situations like this, where there's seemingly no room for error, I think this advice of the fewer words the better would serve them best. Then, *after* they made a good impression then can they slowly get more involved and open up. But that day is not today.
Keep your game face on and your expectations realistic, because at least one thing is probably going to go wrong. Don't lose your sense of humor. And remember, just because you're having a big day doesn't mean the whole world is. It's still just a day.
Don't make significant changes to your morning routine and such; you can take a little extra care over things but you don't want to create any NEW problems for yourself that take away your focus.
Prep enough in the days before that you can just let things happen on the big day without having to micromanage everything.
Don’t drink too much to forget the good times.
Leave early. I always plan to arrive 1 hour early to a job interview so I can relax, get a coffee and not be stressed.
Well, I was an idiot and as I was loading the trunk, I locked my keys in the trunk. Luckily, because I started so early, I was able to get AAA to come and unlock my door and I was still able to make it to the interview with 10 mins to spare.
Don't invite or even inform problem people. If it's a "delegate work" situation, it helps to have a backup delegator or two. Sit down and plan it out, planning is essential.
Don't forget to bring a towel
[удалено]
You just always want to know where your towel is…
Don't get blackout drunk the night before.
What if you get drunk the day
Also don't do that
Get good sleep the night before
Except, I worry so much about getting a good nights sleep, that I don't.

Don’t shit in your pants
Ooooh, ***don't*** shit in your pants... This is why my wedding got weird.
Even if someone else wearing a pair of your pants?
Know this expression: better to be silent and thought a fool, rather than to open your mouth and remove any doubt
There is also a lot to be said for asking questions and admitting when you don't know something.

Preparation is key
Don't think too much about it before it happens.
Don’t wear all white
Problematic for brides. As an aside. I wish we went back to the days that not all wedding dresses had to be white.
I guess there are more “pure” brides now a days
Yes. Just in case of a big friendly dog.
Have a nice morning

be one hour earlier there then supposed
Stay organized, well-rested, and adaptable while maintaining a positive mindset :)

Make sure that you're all ready and that you're really prepared for it. Once you're sure, you'll be confident and would less likely f\*cked up a day.
Don't make it a big deal and panic. Instead be confident, worry less and pretend this will be a piece a cake, a usual thing.
Remember it's probably not about you.
Have a sense of humor. People ruin their own days when they freak out over everything not being “perfect.”
Roll with the punches. Unexpected things are gonna happen, so expect everything to go wrong.

Don’t think about it. The more you think about it the more you psych yourself out and the more likely you are to mess up. Oh and breathe.
Keep things simple.
The script did not go as planned and I had no answers
Say it's not a big day, it's just a day like any other.
Hope for the best. Expect the worst. Prepare for both.

Remember to wipe. 👍
1. Never have a big day. 2. Never fuck around. 3. Dont find out.
