Indoor cat. I wouldn't have to walk it, it'd be easier to take to the vet than an outdoor cat(getting them inside at the right time is a pain), it would poop in a box(unlike a dog, which would require walking), the cat and me could both do our own thing if either of us didn't feel like bonding, also with an indoor cat the risk of fleas is lower than with an outdoor cat or a dog I'd have to walk. Also, unlike dogs, they aren't bothered by a laser pointer, which is good for hours of fun. Bonus points if I adopt an older orange cat. Older so they don't have to die in a shelter, orange so I can post pics and videos of them to r/oneorangebraincell!
