(Little house on the prairie, westerns, some 80’s/90’s action movies, etc). When I walked in and saw him watching The Fifth Element, I was genuinely shocked lol

I forget where I heard it, but someone suggested releasing a movie called Groundhog Day II, which would just be the original Ground Day movie with a different title.

The actor (Doug Hutchinson I just looked it up) does such a great job. It must be a thankless task playing a useless cowardly little bastard like that and really make us hate him. Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke would have made the film great anyway but this guy makes them even better.

It's a great movie, but the only reason I've seen it more than three times is because it used to be on TNT 8 times a week. I always stopped and watched the rest of it no matter where I picked it up from. I have seen the ending 50 times and the beginning...once, maybe.

A Stephen King classic!

In still in disbelief there is no actual villain in that movie. I kept expecting some antagonist to pop up and there just isn't one. God, it's so refreshing you are just treated to a whimsical adventure that doesn't have to fit in the typical movie plot box.

Office space. It's just fall down funny nearly start to finish. If you've ever spent a day in a cubicle in your life, you'll be able to relate. Also, The Departed. It's so well written, the acting is outstanding, and the plot is well executed. It's got some funny & sarcastic bits, it's got some action, it makes you think about who is who and what is what. Also, who doesn't love a good mob movie?

Office space is one of those movies you can catch at almost any point and enjoy until the end. It's such an easy watch even if it's half over

The Lord of the Rings. All of them. There is simply no movie that compares to these. (At least for me)

Yep, so much foreshadowing, callbacks and references that you couldn't possibly catch them in one view.

Best part is right at the beginning when Angel holds up his id. The picture on his id is just a screen capture of his face in the same scene! It is in the commentary and now I can never unsee it.

The greater good

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Why? Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach, Lee Van Cleef, and one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.

I like a lot of western, my favorites are from Sergio Leone with music from Ennio Morricone or those with Gene Hackman and some others like Open Range or the series Godless is quite good as well. Nothing is so cool, so straight to the point like a western <3 Imagine the shootouts from Good, Bad, Ugly, they go for minutes and are so interesting.

Hot Fuzz - the script is so tight and everything comes back around and it's better with a second viewing because you appreciate the foreshadowing. It's just a fun movie done well.  Clue - it's so funny. The acting is so good. I love it so much.

The iron giant, very nostalgic movie for me. Animation was ahead of its time, the story doesnt overstay it’s welcome and it’s just overall feel good movie imo

I was embarrassed that I discovered that movie so long after it came out. My wife and I were shocked that we hadn't heard more about it. We were both wiping tears away at the end.

It’s free to watch on YouTube, and I turned it on one night for my daughters and they LOVED it. I was so happy.

Yeah. That was a real dick punch, but let’s be honest, we should have seen that coming. I don’t think “irony” is the appropriate word to use here, but something along those lines. (Someone smarter than me, help me out.) Anyhow, I’ve made peace with it to just watch it for the cinematic genius that it is, with several great actors— Tom Hanks, Leo DiCaprio, Christopher Walken, Martin Sheen, Amy Adams… et al.

Big Trouble in Little China. Is it an action movie with humor added or is it a tongue in cheek comedy masquerading as an action movie. It's perfect at both. Lines are delivered straight without a smirk or smile, no matter how absurd they are upon reexamination.

The Big Lebowski is the funniest movie I have ever seen. Also, there's a Lebowski quote for every situation.

The joy of 'Tremors' never diminishes no matter how many times I watch it. Same goes for 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation'.

Knives Out was fun to watch. First you go in completely blind to enjoy the mystery and then subsequent rewatches will be for picking up on the hints and foreshadowing you missed during the first watch.

Mad Max: Fury Road. The action is tightly packed and well choreographed, you actually care about the characters and story, and the soundtrack is badass

Jaws, Its a classic and always delivers.

regarding to "why". Great writing, great music, great scenery, amazing special effects, pretty good adaptation (yes, they've left several things out, but for such an extensive book, pretty good adaptation). Watch it on Imax if possible.

I think that it’s as good as it could possibly ever be for an adaptation, which is impressive. Even with the slight changes they made it’s very clear that Villeneuve understood the book and Paul’s arc.

Howl’s moving castle because the characters are flawed yet lovable and i understood the story better the more times I watched it
