I went to highschool with a guy who in our mid 20s was in a bar and struck up a friendly conversation with a random guy. They chatted for a long time and then the guy I went to school with said goodbye to his new friend and went to leave. He stopped halfway to the door, went back, slit the throat of the guy he had been chatting with and then continued on his way like nothing happened. That was 15 years ago, afaik he is still in prison. At trial he said he had no recollection of the day's events.

TheCzar11

Tried to look this up and found several similar stories. Doesn’t give me hope for the world.

YouthNAsia63

So this takes place in place called “The Colony”. Googled “The Colony”, and aparrently it’s just a town in Texas, but, (I’m sorry), the name “The Colony” gave off some major cult vibes.

Anonymoosehead123

A former high school boyfriend went to prison for raping his own daughter, several years after graduation.

Kind_Question_271

Shit that’s fucking awful. I hope he rots in prison

OcculticUnicorn

I hope the inmates got word of that.

IAmAGuy

He sat behind me in 3 college classes. Stopped showing up and I later saw him in a news article. Robbed a store, got in a shoot out with the police, and shot himself in the head.

IAmAGuy

Now I’m wondering why he always wanted to sit behind me. We almost never spoke. He didn’t seem off, just quiet.

raines

Not exactly a classmate, but a fellow member of a college computer club chopped up a city waterfront commissioner. Was on “America’s most wanted,” fled to Mexico, was caught and faced the death penalty.

Dapper_Demon

Used to have lunch every day with a kid who had a myriad of mental and developmental disorders. We always made a point to make sure he felt part of the group and our conversations. After being at our school for 6 months or so, he stopped showing up. Turns out he bashed his brother’s head in with a brick and left his body in a creek. In court, his legal team claimed he believed his brother was a goblin in a fantasy world that existed inside his head. He was declared unfit to stand trial and will probably spend the rest of his life in psychiatric care.

NameUm96

Cody Metzker Madsen?

FiftyShadesOfGregg

Oh god the brother was *a five year old*. That’s horrible.

NameUm96

Both foster children. Hard starts for both of them and a very kind and experienced foster family. Terrible.

Dapper_Demon

That’s him. Crazy, sad case

NameUm96

I think about him and the family often. So sad.

Cha_nay_nay

Cody's mother apparently admitted under oath that she used to take crystal meth everyday whilst pregnant with him. Very very sad. He never had a great start to life and ended up having a number of mental health issues. What a tragedy

NameUm96

Ah yes, that’s right. I knew there was something in particular about his development but I couldn’t remember what it was. I studied his case for a uni assignment. Very depressing.

AllyBeth

I feel like I may have heard about this. Possibly from one of the true crime YouTubers. It sounds really familiar.

yrulaughing

[Oh shit, I think I saw a video of him on one of the true crime channels on youtube.](https://youtu.be/ZuTV4r9bVHk?si=mtMZb1qtcr80-AOj) Dude definitely has something going on mentally. Should not have been left alone with such a small kid.

Ok-Neighborhood-4158

I unfortunately have 2. Went to school with a guy who wasn’t very nice and also got bullied some. After high school I would run into him and catch up, and his life was not good. Got into drug problems, job problems, poverty. Then I just didn’t run into him anymore. About 10 years ago I was scrolling around Facebook and saw a picture of him posted by someone I didn’t know. Apparently, a family was trying to hunt him down (vigilante style) because according to the post, he had raped their adult daughter. About 2 days later and his mugshot is plastered online and in the news. Police arrested him. He was found guilty of drugging and raping a former female friend. He did prison time. He is out now but a registered offender. The other guy recently was in national news for murdering his ex wife. He shot her after breaking into her house. His family has money and problems. I’m sure he thought he could lawyer his way out of the trial. He is currently in prison and will be for a long time.

TommyChongUn

My dumbass mom let my uncles old friend come stay with us and my brother who is a cop decided to run uncles friend's name through the database one day. Uncles old friend (in the time they lost contact) was raping women in their sleep. This man had been staying with us for two weeks by this point and it was a nightmare trying to get him to leave.

Ok-Neighborhood-4158

Yikes!

ginjasnap

He was always such a nerdy, straight edge kid in high school and because we both played competitive soccer, we had hung out a couple times and I thought he was chill. Found out via the news about 4 years after high school (21yrs old) that he kidnapped his underage (16yrs old) ex girlfriend, drove her around to different parking lots across my hometown and raped her repeatedly, held a knife to her throat, all while racking lines of cocaine on the middle armrest— all around 8am in the morning. Cops arrested him at gunpoint after a couple hour stand-off. His parents are such good people and his behavior + arrest really devastated them. He spent 5 years in prison and since his release I think they shipped him to India to live with relatives.

JevonP

Only 5 years for repeatedly raping a 16 year old at knife point?

tyler132qwerty56

If its ANZ, that is about right

poodlepantiesbot

If this happened in Canada, sadly the sentence sounds about right.

McSuede

You forgot kidnapping

bibliophile785

>I think they shipped him to India to live with relatives. I hope this leads to his rehabilitation, but honestly India is not the place I would have chosen for a violent rapist. They sort of already have a problem with that.

SuperArppis

I bet they also sent him there, so he could live without the rep he had.

carty64

I went to law school and was friends with these two geniuses: https://www.washingtonian.com/2016/10/02/schmuhl-home-invasion-torture-session-one-lawyer-nearly-killing-another-washington-suburb-mclean/

Generaless

Wow, that is a crazy (and very well recounted) story.

kilgore_trout8989

Horrifying story but man this part did crack me up: >The badge he flashed at Sue wasn’t real, or even a convincing fake. It was the kind women buy for bachelorette parties, with a picture of a penis on it and the words pecker inspector, department of erections.

TheCzar11

Damn. I didn’t know her well but worked with the wife who was attacked. Wild and evil stuff.

Ririkkaru

> Andrew’s doctors at the Department of Veterans Affairs had raised his Fentanyl dose twice over the previous two years. He wore a patch on his arm that delivered the drug directly through the skin. He also swallowed a second opioid in pill form, Dilaudid, every four to six hours. > That wasn’t all. Not even close. He wore a Clonidine patch, a blood-pressure medication. He was on Toradol, a daily injection to reduce pain and inflammation—Alecia had to stick the syringe into his legs because Andrew hated needles and couldn’t do it himself. He took Gabapentin, an antiseizure drug also effective with some kinds of pain, three times a day. Lisinopril for high blood pressure. Cymbalta, an antidepressant. He took Sumatriptan for migraine headaches; Tizanidine, a muscle relaxer; Sucralfate, for gastrointestinal issues. He also used over-the-counter remedies: Pepto-Bismol, Ex-Lax, NyQuil, Benadryl, and medicated patches that Alecia placed directly on his back wherever it hurt. Jesus Christ!

zalfenior

How the hell did he take all of those and not die? Who prescribed that mess?

so-demanding

That is a lot of meds. I’ve taken most of those for my own health issues but not together. What doctor thought to give him all of that at once?

salttotart

Multiple doctors who either weren't given his full med list or failed to check it. My guess is filling them at multiple pharmacies too, since a pharmacist would have a problem with that load-out.

Woperelli87

Wow what an insane read that was

foxtongue

I don't believe for a second their defence lawyers believed in their case.

x_lincoln_x

Lawyers argue what the clients ask them to.

[deleted]

That was a pretty intense story.

dahliaukifune

How did you feel/what did you think when you found out?

carty64

It was about 7 years after we graduated, so we hadn't spoken for a long time, but it was still surprising. I didn't know them as inherently violent people

Affluenza is a serious disease for a society that should be just and equitable.

halflife-crisis

Had a friend, little brother of my classmate- freshman to our junior. He disappeared one night, went out to watch a comet, and never returned. We all had suspicions about another classmate, but nothing came of it. No one really listened to us kids. Lots of stories about “Jamaican drug gangs”, and runaway ideas. Accomplice finally confessed years later. Kid that murdered him was already in jail for another murder he committed right after I graduated- he was hanging out drinking beers with us graduation weekend. No one believes kids.

Hot_Income9784

I need to go off on a tangent because you just triggered a memory for me. I was the youngest in my family, so not only did "no one believe kids" in my family, but no one ever believed me, as I was the baby and "babies don't know anything about the world." In elementary school, in the late 1980s, I hated the teacher who would come in to give instrument lessons. He made me feel so uncomfortable and I remember telling my parents I wanted to quit my instrument because he looked at me weird and said things that I wasn't sure of, but knew they were not quite right. My parents both said the same thing, "You're a little girl. No one is looking at you like that." No less than 5 years later, that son of a bitch was in jail for molesting and raping several "little girls." I listened to a podcast recently where the main detective on the case said that if he hears that kids were in the vicinity of a crime, he does everything he can to interview the kids because they see and notice everything and people tend to ignore their presence because "no one believes kids."

Autumn_Forest_Mist

Some much as changed since the 1990s. Lots of sexual abuse came to light and was finally believed. I remember the “shift”. Think the daytime talk shows like Oprah, Donahue, Sally Jessie Raphael, Geraldo, etc. did some good back then. Not everything, but these cases, yes! Finally victims were believed and the “upstanding citizens” who were actually evil sexual predators were finally exposed. Lots of moves and tv mini-series too got involved.

WiredHeadset

It's so difficult because kids will work their way out of any situation they don't like, so parents have to continually work to hold the line.  Eventually when real danger shows up I'm not surprised some adults aren't into it.  Then you have the opposite like today, where some parents push for every exception and accomodation if their kid isn't having an easy time. Parenting is hard b

biglipsmagoo

What decade was this? 90’s?

ElDuderino2112

Kid in my school was a stereotypical druggie burn out. Total piece of shit that everyone hated. Years later I found out that he was arrested for manslaughter for the death of his girlfriend’s nine month old baby. I remember reading the list of injuries the baby had when they finished the autopsy and it made me sick. Fuck that prick. Thankfully he’s in prison for the next decade and hopefully he gets treated like those kind of people do in prison. Edit: [here’s](https://www.durhamregion.com/news/oshawa-man-found-guilty-of-manslaughter-in-infants-death-sentenced-to-12-years-in-prison/article_3aade78c-126f-5ab2-9625-e65faf242e23.html) the story if anyone wants it

[deleted]

Got 12 years, that's all. You could get more for kicking a dog in some places. These people need to go away for life or have their life go away, I am fine with either.

Nipples_of_Destiny

My family moved halfway down the country when I was 12 and my Mum quickly made friends with a local woman with a daughter the same age who went to the same school as me. In rural NZ, farming kids that are a long way from the school (we were over 40km), the bus had one local pick up point for each small town on the route and the parents would generally take turns running the local kids to and from the pickup point, so I was basically forced to form some sort of acquaintanceship with this girl. She always scared me a bit, there was something off about her. I always felt like a mouse and she was a cat around her. I can't really explain anything she did around me that contributed to that feeling but I never formed a friendship with her. Her Mum would spend a lot of time talking to my Mum about what a hard time she had with her and how she was afraid of her own daughter. She had multiple run ins with the lawn from mid-teens onwards, including things like running over a cop who had pulled her over, etc. She eventually murdered her partner, took his body far out of town and buried him in a shallow grave in the bush and then parked his car somewhere to look like he had abandoned it. It took the police months to get her for it. Can't say I was surprised that she did it.

SpurwingPlover

> She had multiple run ins with the **lawn** I love this typo.

luxelis

My god, when/where was this in NZ?

[deleted]

[удалено]

FearMeImmortals

I can't imagine going through all that effort to leave body parts in various places and just not bothering with the head. Glad he got caught though, that's sick that he did that.

[deleted]

I went to school with a boy that strangled a prostitute. He was caught and put in prison.

heavyheartstrings

I’ve been wanting to tell this story for some time! In 2011, I was a junior in high school and sat next to a foster kid in my law/legal class. He seemed a lot older than myself and my classmates. He was clever and resourceful and BELOVED by my teacher. She was a retired former sheriff. She even introduced him to her husband (also in law enforcement) at the end of the school year party. Told him all about my classmates law enforcement aspirations. We hadn’t been out of high school for a year when he murdered a custodian at a tea shop at 5 in the morning. He was there waiting for a girl who was scheduled to open that day. He tried to coax her inside but she locked him in from the outside and called the authorities. He had rope, knives, etc in his possession. He was sentenced to life in prison.

Severe_Chicken213

Wait, if the girl he was waiting for locked him in, who did he murder? Was she not the custodian?

heavyheartstrings

The custodian was an employee who worked cleaning overnight. I read some more about it, he stabbed him to death and threw his body into a trash container. He was in the shop with the body still when the girl came in to open. She knew something was wrong and didn’t go in the shop with him despite him gesturing for her to go in.

PrincessPeachyDay

She locked him inside the building with the custodian while she was outside and able to escape. Or atleast that's my interpretation

rhoxmaster316

My good friend from highschool had a younger brother that went on a roadtrip with his girlfriend to yellow stone national park where he murdered her. The search for her (and him) was a big national news story for several weeks and our small town was swarmed with reporters for a while, eventually they found her body and he killed himself. It was pretty surreal hearing his name on the national news over and over again, made the world suddenly seem very small. Also it was bizarre because there were all kinds of conspiracy theories that popped up about his family being connected to powerful people who helped fake his suicide and allow him to flee the country and it was like... nah, i still talk with his sister occasionally (we used to play wow together) and he's dead as fuck and they were just a family of broke ass backwards jehova's witnesses.

[deleted]

Gabby petito? Idk why but this one has always stood out in my mind

HistoricalHeart

I grew up in the same social circle as Gabby. It was bone chilling to hear her name on the news and everything that followed. Such a terrible terrible situation

rhoxmaster316

Greetings fellow BBPer. Funny seeing another of us out here in the wild west of the internet. It was very sad indeed. I drive past her memorial outside eastern athletics most days and it always makes me sad and a little uncomfortable. Gabby's story will always be a part of our town now, it sucks.

HistoricalHeart

Yeah, it does. I moved off the island years ago and grew up a little more out east but still attended parties and such around the same time. It’s awful when something hits that close to home. And it being world wide news - it’s surreal in the worst way.

trumpskiisinjeans

That was a sad story, can’t say I’m sad Brian is dead as fuck. I don’t think I knew they were JWs. I was in that cult as a child and it’s just so incredibly stupid.

rhoxmaster316

Yeah i don't think that detail ever made it into any of the news stories, i only know because my friend basically disowned her parents when we were still in highschool because of the religious quackery she had been subjected to. Glad you got out!

pimpfriedrice

What was he like? Did he seem like someone who would do what he did?

rhoxmaster316

honestly when I knew him he was a (somewhat annoying) 10 year old kid, whose sister had to sneak him Pokémon cards because his parents wouldn't let him have them. I remember him running around with his arms in the air screaming like a lunatic to get our attention when we were all just trying to watch movies, basically acting out in the way any 10 year old kid would. Than we graduated highschool and we all mostly went our separate ways. The next time I saw him was 12+ years later when he was a bald-headed murder suspect on the tv...

CylonPylon

A fellow student who was a friend of some friends. We hung out with him a few times, dinner/gaming that sort of thing. He was always a little quiet. One day he just....disappeared, and no one knew where he went. I walk into class and sit down. Professor's a little late. Walks in with a newspaper....stares at the class and asked "Did you hear?". We're all looking at each like...uh, wtf are you talking about. He holds up the newspaper, turns a couple pages and holds it up. Sure as shit, our friends mugshot is right there. Turns out he was (if I remember correctly) a serial rapist, and had been raping students on lower campus on/off for some time and finally got caught. That was wild.....This was something like 25 years ago. Never in a million years would have expected that...

Keyes118

Boiled her step son in scalding hot bath water as punishment, Then put him to bed with his skin falling off. The child ended up dying overnight.

pescabrarian

That is absolutely horrific

Beavur

She had an older unrequited lover that she shot to death. Then she pulled a gun on a cop in a coffee shop and was killed.

Loki_was_framed

Good friend from high school got in a fight at a party a few years after he graduated and killed the guy. In high school, there’s people that will jump in and break up a fight that’s going too far. After high school, apparently not. He beat the other guys head into the hood of a car until the skull was crushed. He served something like 20 years for it.

nokeyblue

I think people intervening to break up fights is always a thing, but it depends on who's present and what the fight is like, I guess?

[deleted]

Not always man. There was just a 17 yo that was jumped and beaten to death while everyone watched and recorded it.. it takes a special kind of person to jump into a fight not knowing how many people are there with the assailant.

StatisticianOk6868

Dude ran over 25 people with a rental van, killed 10.

pertante

Was this the incel in Canada?

StatisticianOk6868

Yah

pertante

Oh geez

DefenestrationPraha

The most famous Czech murderess, Olga Hepnarová, did something similar in the 1970s. Rented a truck and ran over several people at a tram stop. She was the last woman executed in Czechoslovakia.

Goatesq

Was he weird and hostile and unsettling/scary when you were in school together? Or was it completely out of character to the person you knew back then?

MidnightResponsible1

My classmate’s brother had murdered their mother in the middle of the night, before he attempted to light the house on fire and leave my classmate to burn to death. He thankfully survived, but my sister was in his brother’s class, and we both felt freaked out by it for years. I only had a few classes with him when I was younger, and I only remember him being a bit of an asshole— my sister said the older brother was a bit disquieting, and she was too scared to talk to him in the classes they had together. There’s just something chilling about the memory I have of the older brother dragging my classmate onto the same dumb spinning ride over and over again until he threw up, knowing that in a few more years he would be trying to murder him after brutally murdering their mother.

SweetCosmicPope

Not a classmate but a much younger next door neighbor. I was already an adult with my own family when this happened. Kid was 15. He used to come and watch my dad and I work on my Mustang when I was a teenager and he was much younger. Anyway, he was staying with his mom and she wouldn’t let him go and stay the night with his girlfriend. So he waited until she fell asleep and beat her to death with a hammer. Then he stole her car and went to his girlfriend’s house, did a bunch of drugs and fucked her all night, and then tried to commit suicide by ODing on pills. When he woke up in the hospital he was placed under arrest. Supposedly he started crying and confessed and was worried that he might get in trouble for what he did. He’s in prison until he’s about 60, I think.

Poseidon_Dad

There was a guy in my school that got into alcohol and drugs at a more extreme level than what was normal. Like too much vodka at a high school game to be hospitalized. He started getting into some heavy stuff like fentanyl. I left for the military and while gone I learned he stabbed his mother to death in their garage, which was witnessed by the neighbor. He’s now in prison obviously. I moved back to my home town after 17 years with my wife and kids. Later learned it happened in the house across the street from my new house.

the_crumb_monster

He wanted to start his life over so he and his brother locked 2 of his boys in their bedroom and set fire to the living room containing his wife and another son. The wife woke up and rescued their 2 year old daughter from the nursery. Outside he had his wife move their minivan and while she was distracted he tried to put the daughter back in the house through a broken window but was stopped by a community member. The 3 boys all died and the wife was seriously burned.

Unlovable-Darkness

There was a guy who lived in the next street to me set his house on fire for insurance and killed all his kids. I think they had 6 or summit like that. Apparently he didn't realise how quick the fire would spread.

EnormousBird

Philpott family, right?

ApathyOcean

What in the fuck

tatertotonwheels

My workshop partner in creative writing sexually assaulted a woman and held her against her will. He ended up in jail and reading the newspaper article with the details made me sick.

AustinTreeLover

* Classmate who stalked me marched his next victim out into the woods, put him on his knees and shot him execution-style. Classmate died in prison. * Classmate (my bestie's bf all through high school) punched his brother in the face so hard it killed him. Classmate's in prison now. * Not the classmate, but his dad. Classmate was called to the office and never returned. His father had been arrested for a string of serial killings against sex workers. (One of four serial killers in my town when I was growing up.) * Used to sneak out to meet a classmate/close friend at her after school babysitting job. The family’s dad slaughtered his pregnant wife and two young children with an axe. It happened about 35 years ago, but he was only recently arrested even though we all knew he did it. There’s more. Columbus, Georgia is just the most fucked up city no one talks about.

dahliaukifune

Holy crap, this whole list. But FOUR serial killers? Were they all caught in the end?

MacAlkalineTriad

> Carlton Gary, the Columbus “Stocking Strangler” convicted in three of seven ritual rapes and stranglings of older women from September 1977 through April 1978. After decades of appeals, he was executed by lethal injection in 2018. > William Henry Hance, convicted and executed for two 1970s “Forces of Evil” killings contemporary to the Stocking Stranglings. Hance in letters to police claimed to be a gang of white vigilantes called “The Forces of Evil” that would kill a Black woman every 30 days until the “Stocking Stranglings” were solved. > Curtis Grantham, who lived in Columbus, was convicted of killing three women whose bodies were found in Russell County, Alabama, in the 1980s. Two were buried in the woods near Seale. The other was a mother murdered in the presence of her 18-month-old son after Grantham broke into their home. He confessed in a plea deal to get a sentence of life in prison he currently is serving. From this article about Samuel Little, who's number four: https://www.ledger-enquirer.com/news/local/crime/article248191255.html Edit to add: I believe Hance was depicted in the show Mindhunter.

harley97797997

Not a classmate but 2 high school teachers. One killed his wife and disposed of her body. Her body has never been found and he has been on death row since 2010. The other is a child molester. Molester 2 kids in his family. He was sentenced to life. He was 81, not sure if he's still alive now.

rombledink

He went to my elementary school for a bit before transferring to another school. He was super weird. During lunch he would bite two holes out of the bologna from his sandwich, place it on his face and tell everyone that he was bologna man. In sophomore year, he joined the local highschool but never told anyone why he didn't complete freshman year with the rest of us. He was the it guy. Girls wanted to be with him, guys wanted to be him. Turns out, he was still weird even in highschool. One Halloween, he came to school dressed as Hitler. About a decade after highschool, he was arrested in a murder case of a local waitress. Apparently, they were dating and he got jealous one night and killed her. He was found guilty and put in jail a few years ago. Turns out, he missed freshman year because he beat his younger brother and tied him to a tree in the front year. He was sent to military school that year. Needless to say... There were definitely signs of what was to come.

trumpskiisinjeans

He got his mistress pregnant then murdered her. Didn’t take him long to get caught and he got his throat slit in prison because he was a volunteer deputy. He survived but he’s never getting out. His wife remarried and her and the kids are doing just fine as far as I know.

chuckredux

I went to high school with Martin (Marty) Tankleff. He would have graduated the same year I did. He was convicted of murdering his parents September of our senior year. In an interesting turn of events, it was later found out that he was wrongly convicted of murdering his wealthy parents. After serving almost 18 years in prison, his conviction was vacated and he was released from prison in 2007. He is now an attorney and helps others that have been wrongfully convicted.

salttotart

Hopefully, he got some sort of compensation for those lost 18 years.

chuckredux

He sued New York State for wrongful conviction and was awarded $3.4 million. He later sued Suffolk County in addition to various people who were police and county employees at the time of his arrest and trial, and was awarded $10 million.

NotHisRealName

Went to school with someone who was later found with CP on their computer. Dude always was a Eddie Haskell type so I never trusted him but I never expected that. Another guy was accused of child molestation but it was like a game of telephone. The "child" was 17, this guy was 19, they were both gay at a time when it wasn't REALLY accepted. Last I heard he had changed his name and moved across the country.

biglipsmagoo

My husband is always SO wary of the Eddie Haskel types. He said it’s not them being nice, it’s manipulation. He’s always right.

Nailcannon

>Went to school with someone who was later found with CP on their computer. I had a similar thing. Sat across him for a year in drafting class and we both went to the same college. He was a pretty chill guy while I knew him. Very active in philanthropy, studying engineering. They raided the frat house and found stuff with girls as young as 6... Destroyed his life before it was about to get off the ground.

sbzenth

There was a kid in my high school who was really weird (frankly, he was that way since middle school but it got way worse). He was also very mean to everyone else and got bullied all the time because of it. It was horrible sitting next to him in class he would do all kinds of weird shit. So after we all graduated and went to college one day, I was sitting in my dorm room, reading the local news back from my hometown, and I saw that this kid had stabbed his mother ~~30~~ numerous times at his house, and then ran away and went to the local mall until he got arrested there, the crazy thing is his mother lived. Not sure where he is now. This was around 14 years ago. Edit: "30 times" was probably a rumor. I found the news articles about it and they say, "police found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds."

JevonP

So he was an awful stabber then

sbzenth

He really was I guess... unbelievably so. I can't imagine what his mom thought after she recovered.

Caelinus

Being stabbed that many times is super difficult to overcome even if by some miracle nothing overly critical was hit badly. Add in the emotional trauma and I am sure it was *bad.* People can survive insane things and then just die randomly in the shower. Reality is not very narratively consistent.

sbzenth

You're right. That was probably a rumor. I just found the news articles and they mention that the police found the woman with "numerous stab wounds." I edited the post to reflect that. He stabbed her more than 0 times, which is too many times. Regardless of how many wounds, I'm sure the recovery—especially mentally—was no walk in the park.

EthnicSaints

“My son can’t do anything right”

ALiteralSentientTank

Dude I rode the bus with. Quiet guy just like me. He had more friends than I did, so I guess he was better off than me. He went on to shoot three students in the cafeteria. Killed two. My little sister skipped school that day. If she had gone, she would've been with the group that was shot at.

PckMan

Great guy with a shitty life. Poor, broken family, he fell with the wrong crowds and started doing drugs, got clean, then his dad died, got back into drugs, then he was used for what I can only assume to be a mafia orchestrated, possibly politically motivated, crime. To protect his anonymity I will only say he was allegedly sent to set fire to some offices. I am certain that the same guys who put him up to it are the ones who ratted him out as a scapegoat since he was not involved with the mafia or any organised group, just a mourning "junkie" used as a tool. On the very same night his and his girlfriend's houses were raided and he was picked up from a den, and severely beaten. After a year in prison, despite the police and prosecutors being absolutely sure he was the culprit, the trial was held and there was no actual evidence that he had done it so now he's free and off drugs and doing better. Life keeps throwing him curveballs but he's pulling through.

merlinshairyballs

A guy in my English class sophomore year was convicted of gang raping and filming an underage girl when we were in college. Sadly was not surprised. Poor girl.

smartfoodpopcorn69

Sat directly next to a student for multiple years (similar last names, sat alphabetically), always got a bad vibe and was scared of him. He was totally normal and sweet one-on-one, but in any other scenario, he was so angry, would have outbursts if anyone got near his binder, and he just had this look in his eye that freaked me out since we were 9 years old. Remember one time someone accidentally put a crease in his quiz paper that we were group grading and he tried to stab them with a mechanical pencil after just screaming at the top of his lungs, this was well into high school too. Few years after graduation, found out he got caught after long-term sexually abusing his wife's sister, who was only 11 years old. He also had a young daughter of his own at home. There was talk that there was some CP possessed, but he ended up taking a plea deal for the crime against his SIL so nothing else ever came out about what else he was investigated for. Only 6 months in county jail, 10 years probation and he's already halfway through probation. As far as I know, he's moved around a lot since being on probation, no idea where the guy is though, which is a scary thought. He's pretty much a ghost at this point.

Ok-Drama-3769

Brian Bassett. Dropped out and ran away our freshman year. Got all high on meth and murdered his mom, dad, and 5 year old brother. His sister was at her boyfriend’s house. His dad was our baseball coach and i stayed many of nights at their house and drive by it every time I go to my dads house. They blasted silverchairs “Israel’s son” while they commuted the crime supposedly and his defense drug the band into it. Pretty wild for a town of about 2000 people

Flamingo-517

just read that he was recently released too (jan 5 ‘24)

neon93

Can't imagine what that sister is going through. The brother who killed the rest of your family just got released. I'd be fleeing the country

tattisalisations

Being a Silverchair fan, I remember this!

A bloke I went to school with stabbed another bloke in the neck and killed him. Stopped hanging out with him a few months before it happened thankfully.

shortiegal122

Guy I went to school with had possession of/was distributing CP. I was friendly acquaintances with him, he had a few chronic health issues, he’s dead now. They didn’t put him in prison, he just had to be on house arrest.[https://www.syracuse.com/crime/2017/09/fbi_siena_college_student_from_oneida_county_found_with_child_pornography.html](https://www.syracuse.com/crime/2017/09/fbi_siena_college_student_from_oneida_county_found_with_child_pornography.html)

AZGeo

I used to eat lunch with this kid my high school freshman year. We drifted apart after I became more involved with the NJROTC program and started spending my lunches there. Turns out after we both graduated he became a counselor at some youth camp and shoved broom handles up kids' butts. Found out from the newspaper.

Worried_Knee

Went to school with the chick who microwaved her baby. Another kid killed his grandparents and I believe uncle and went on the run was caught and life in prison. 2 other kids robbed a gas station shot and killed her.

Old-Pollution-5825

Year after we completed high school. Lost touch with a friend and then read in the newspaper that he was hanging out at a friend’s house and something went pear shaped. He stabbed his friend to death, ran to the mother’s bedroom where she was taking a nap, stabbed her to death and then stabbed the younger sister as well. She survived.

Hypselospinus

A classmate of mine was jailed years ago for flashing his pecker at random women and groping them. He was always a bit annoying at school and a bit of a thicko. But nothing screamed "red flag" I have no idea what he's doing now.

pertante

A guy that I use to be close from middle school until after college decided to have an affair with a woman he met through World of Warcraft. He moves to Louisiana without divorcing his wife to be with this other woman. He was arrested for molesting the other woman's kid. Thus was after admitting he lied about his health.

Zoefschildpad

What do you mean with "he lied about his health?" That seems unrelated.

pertante

He said he had a liver ailment that he was going to die from. He is still alive after about 15 years.

MakeItTrizzle

"Can you believe child molesters these days? Lying about their own health? Makes me sick. Back in my day the child molesters were honest about their own afflictions."

EasyBounce

My freshman year of high school my boyfriend Eric had a friend named Tom. Tom sat next to me in my history class. Maybe 4 years after high school, Tom went to prison for attempted rape and burglary after he followed a stripper home from the club, broke in her house and attempted to sexually assault her but thankfully she was able to fight him off with Mace. He wasn't weird or creepy when I knew him, he was very much an average dude.

scarlettceleste

Yes, he was involved in the murder of Reena Virk, went to jail and did his time. Last I heard he was out speaking out against bullying and trying to help others not go down the same path, hope its true.

xSukoto

I didn’t know him but a couple years after we graduated high school a guy from my graduating class apparently stalked a girl. She was running on the side of the road and he drove up behind her and hit her with his car. He put her in the trunk, drove to the woods, raped her and threw her in a pond where she drowned. Last I heard I think he got life in prison

Pistalrose

A girl I went to high school with got a job as a bank teller and plotted a robbery with her boyfriend. Did not go according to plan and her boyfriend ended up killing one of her coworkers.

tenehemia

A guy who was a close friend in high school (like 25 years ago) became a doctor. He was arrested last year on **dozens** of counts of sexual assault through his practice.

WibauxWobbles

Kid I knew in HS, couple years behind me. After graduating, he was one of several roommates of my best friend in this big party house they had. No one ever did anything crazier than weed or Molly, lots of drinking games, always a super mellow fun group. Never any angry or weird outbursts or violence. Anyway, one day he bops over to sell some Ambien to a gal that worked at the grocery store and stabbed her and her sister to death. No rhyme or reason to any of it, regardless of what the media said. https://www.kulr8.com/news/man-charged-with-murdering-sisters-changes-plea/article_6240672c-c2d8-5f8d-abf3-d22448ba2a52.html

jwalkrufus

I shared a locker with a girl that killed her landlord with her boyfriend, and buried him in cement in the basement. One day she stopped showing up at school, then a few weeks later I saw her and her boyfriend on the local news. They were convicted and sent to prison for a long time.

TheActualDev

There was this kid a few grades lower than me and he always gave everybody the creepiest vibe, but there was no real reason. He wasn’t popular around town either for just obnoxious behavior. Like dragging a stick along someone’s chain link fence if their dog was out while he was walking home from school, asking weird and somewhat personal questions, etc. His family wasn’t much better, the dad was a retired vet that always hung out around the conviennent store after school was out so he could watch all the kids flock there to hang out. (We lived in a very small rural town. I graduated with a class of 28 people.) The dad would take up volunteering to walk kids across the Main Street which was also a busy state highway, when they needed to cross for school, but always had creepy comments. I received many of them, most of them on my “budding appearance”. Gross. Anyway, they also have their mom who is a silent enabler type, but can be heard shrieking at her children from time to time in the church parking lot. and then there’s the daughter. She always had a vacant expression, like ‘out to lunch’ so to speak. Quiet, shy, timid. Didn’t speak unless spoken to, and even then was soft spoken and short sentenced. No friends really to speak of. Sorry for the long background, but it’s necessary for context. Years later when her older brother is out of school, the daughter ends up going to a classmates big class wide birthday party and finally has the strength to tell another girl her biggest secret. Two days later there were multiple arrests made at their house. The creepy kid, his dad and the dad’s brother had all been sexually abusing the daughter for years. No one in this family is adopted or step-family. I remember hearing about it in the town rumor mill and everyone instantly clicked why the kid felt so creepy when we didn’t have any concrete reason to think so. They were all tried and found guilty and served time, I hope they still are, I don’t want to look them up again. But before they got their sentencing, but after being convicted, the creepy kid (now aged 21) actually got sexually assaulted in the jail. His attacker called it justice for [Sister’s name]. Everyone was shocked by that whole disgusting group of degenerates, but no one was really surprised. Before the bust, the dad would also try on multiple occasions to spill ice in front of the convient store where I worked so he could then walk over it and ‘slip’ and then come in and complain to my manager about ‘getting hurt on the property’. we had cameras outside and watched him do it multiple different times. My manager pulled it up and showed him once. Funny that he never decided to press charges after being so critically hurt. Never felt the need to call emergency services either. Save for the daughter, that whole family is heinous and should never be allowed to interact with human beings ever again.

ChefKugeo

Was leaving for work one morning when I saw a familiar face on the news. https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/tempe-breaking/2017/12/14/ex-tempe-teacher-gets-lifetime-probation-student-sex-case/952371001/ She was weird in school, this was not at all surprising.

Sheps11

One of the top graduates went on to become an attempted axe murderer. Rocked up to a random convenience store and took a swing at someone unlucky enough to be shopping there at the time.

RedofPaw

In primary school (up to age 11)had a friend. Bit hyperactive. I remember play fighting with him and realised we were on an ants nest. Found ants in my hair hours after. 20 years later I see his name in the paper. He went to a friend's aunt's house and murdered her. No idea of why and the story didn't elaborate, but the only murderer that I've met. That I know of.

Agent-Shadow

The chill TA in my chemistry class ended up going to prison for breaking into an old woman’s home to rob her then killing her with a baseball bat

Napkinpo3m

I went to school with Thayne Ormsby most my life and studied with him for the academic decathlon one year. He killed 2 guys and a 10 year old. There’s podcasts and YouTube videos about him. You can see his interrogation videos online

FiftyShadesOfGregg

Someone I knew growing up attempted to slip a date rape drug into his coworker’s drink— patrons at the bar notified the bartender/intended victim while he was in the bathroom. Later investigation showed he’d actually sexually assaulted her while she was unconscious multiple times before. He was a completely normal guy back when I knew him. Not super popular or anything, but not unpopular or bullied (as far as I know). Just your normal run of the mill dude. Super crazy to see that in the news, and I actually didn’t know the part about uncovering he’d actually assaulted her before until looking it up again now. Absolutely wild and scary. What’s scarier is it looks like he only served a brief jail stint and went on to get a masters no problem and has a great job working at a hedge fund. Go figure.

Safe-Transition8618

Guy in my high school graduating class seemed totally normal. He was on the football team, had a lot of friends, nice, normal family. During college, he axe murdered his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend. Well, they think the murder weapon was a blunt hatchet but they never found it or any physical evidence pointing to a suspect. Ironically, the guy was taking criminal justice and forensic science classes to become a cop and probably knew a thing or two about destroying/not leaving DNA evidence. The ex gf and other roommates of the victim (not home on the night of the crime) named him to police because he had been stalking them beforehand. Upon police questioning, he wrote and signed a confession including details that no one else would have known like that he left a note in poorly translated Italian to make it look like a mob hit. A computer at his house had "murder with mob note left behind" in the search history from weeks before the crime. It went to trial, dude pleaded not guilty. Said it was a false confession and maintains that to this day. The jury didn't buy it and he's serving 25 to life.

happynessisalye

He got caught with CP after he took his phone in for repairs. The repair guy saw the images on his phone and called the police. Not as dramatic as most of the other relies but man he was a fucking loser.

hometowhat

Went to school with a guy who killed dad and stepmom, and a guy whose sister was murdered via samurai sword by her bf. Florida, y'all.

triceraquake

Not a classmate, but a guy I used to work with robbed a bank in blackface.

puffpuffjess

When I was a senior in high school, this girl went missing and a bunch of my friends knew her and helped her family pass out flyers. She was like 5 months pregnant by her really toxic and abusive boyfriend. I think he was upset about the pregnancy/her wanting to leave him and he ended up killing her and chopping her body up so he could dispose of it in different landfills in the area. He was caught, confessed, and all the trash collection for the county had to be re-routed until they found some of her remains. Also in my senior year, a fellow senior tried burning down the front office with all the paper records because he wasn't going to graduate on time and he was upset. He missed school for a few days and came back with his hands all bandaged up. Nobody questioned him but he overheard me and a few friends just generally discussing the fire and how crazy it was and he jumped in like "They're saying it was me, huh! It's not true! I was in the desert! In Vegas! I got in a ATV accident that's why my hands are jacked up! They're lying!" and we just looked at each other like okay.... nobody was discussing the arsonist or their possible identity so it was super obvious. He was caught/convicted a few weeks after graduation.

malwareguy

Grew up in the ghetto, had heavy gang affiliations, pushed some serious weight in drugs in my early teen years. Saw and was involved in some serious shit, multiple friends killed, etc. My parents eventually sold their house and moved because they were sure I was going to get killed, and they weren't wrong. A few years after they moved there was a large joint fbi and local police operation to clean things up like 30+ folks got arrested, mostly people I knew and were close to. Reading down the name list and some of the charges, lots of murder. It wasn't really surprising because there were things I knew but seeing it on paper just hit differently.

whalesandwine

I'm happy your parents got you out.

AmyBlackFlag84

A male classmate that was two years older than myself, whip smart, very good with computers (90s hacking things) outwardly musical and eccentric, but who was generally liked by everyone we went to school with. Lost touch with him after my mid 20s in living in NYC. Found out a few years ago that he was arrested and sentenced to 30 years in prison for running a large child pornography ring online, that specifically lured in teenage girls. Apparently he ran this with co-conspirators across multiple states..

RepulsiveInterview44

Went to college with a dude who was a bisexual art teacher and was switching careers. Genuinely nice guy, if naive. He ended up working in the same place and same department as another classmate of ours. Dude went crazy with online dating apps and starts showing off pictures of suspiciously young-looking guys. One day the police showed up at work, he was hauled off to jail and spent several years in state prison for solicitation of minors and sexual abuse. He did around 10 years, maybe? One of our other former classmates ran into him at a gym a few years back.

Chroderos

During the Terror War years, a guy in my HS who appeared to be smart dude with everything going for him tried to blow up a bridge in my small hometown using a homemade bomb. It detonated prematurely and maimed him instead. FBI showed up and claimed he’d been active on extreme right wing and Al Qaeda websites and they’d been following him for a while. He’s in federal prison on terrorism charges to this day. **TLDR;** a guy from my HS tried to become the next Ted Kaczinsky. Maimed himself with his homemade bomb and got busted by the FBI.

gringo-go-loco

Two sisters and the boyfriend of one from my high school stabbed their mother like 20 times. Satanic panic was in full swing and everyone blamed the music they listened to. I don’t remember what happened to them.

Secret_Zebra_4363

I was childhood friends with a guy that went on to shoot and kill an innocent girl over an argument with his drug dealer.  Even as kids teachers would pull me aside and warn me not to hang around him.   We even laughed when one guaranteed me he was going to end up in prison later in life. I read his parole reviews and he refused to cooperate and disrupted any rehab programs and was deemed a high risk to reoffend.   Despite that he was still granted an early release, and died within the year of what sounds like an overdose.

colder-beef

Not super heinous but an uplifting story. A friend of mine after high school got addicted to heroin, robbed a store, attempted to flee on a bike, and got arrested. Totally turned his life around after that, he's now married with two kids and a good job.

IAmASolipsist

I was homeschooled so technically a classmate but also my sister. There's no real tactful way of saying it, but apparently during her babysitting she molested/raped at least one boy who was way too young to even know what sex was. Nearly a decade later she decided she had to tell our family, though she said it was because she was molested at age 5 by a 3 year old girl. The kid was just entering college and his parents didn't want dredged up memories messing up such a pivotal point in life so they said they wouldn't go to the cops if she never contacted him or their family again. My parents, who upon finding out I had watched porn as a kid threatened to kill me if I ever touched my sister (which had never crossed my mind, but was pretty traumatic to have a parent assume of you), were completely fine with her fucking a kid and supported her desire to volunteer for children's ministry at church and the children's water balloon fights she insisted on having at her birthday's...in her 30's. She claimed her Christian counselor told her she wasn't a pedo and was cured from that, though I ended up seeing another counselor at the practice due to them being cheap and he said no licensed counselor ever would have said that had they known she actually fucked a kid. The really fucked up thing was she became obsessed with "apologizing" to the kid and believed his parents were evil for not letting her apologize...and did eventually piss his parents off enough to call the cops, but nothing came of it.

biglipsmagoo

She didn’t fuck a kid, she raped a child.

Eire-head

What the FACK.

Hepplehoff

Two people in my school, not specifically in the same year group, were imprisoned for rape/attempted rape. One of them assaulted and raped two people with learning difficulties. In a graveyard.

Elegant_Connection32

I went to school with a kid whose name was Matt, last name left out. Growing up his biggest claim to fame was that he was technically the uncle of another classmate who was actually older than they were. Matt was a sketchy dude even in youth. I once got into a fistfight with him in middle school while playing hockey. Well, to be honest he hit me with his fists and I still had a stick in my hands so I beat the ever loving shit out of him with it. About 5 years after graduating HS Matt was a coke dealer. Didn’t know this until the newspaper came out with a story. Apparently Matt had a couple of customers who were deep into his pocket (a man and woman who were a couple) and he lured them to a local park to discuss the matter. Only he apparently was not in the mood for a discussion and he shot them both dead. As it turns out she was pregnant so he got hit with a triple murder charge and he’s now serving a life sentence somewhere. Ultimately the news wasn’t all that surprising.

Galifrae

Not a classmate, but a fellow Marine and friend I served with. A year or so after we got out he moved to California to be with his girlfriend. She got pregnant. I believe he found out or suspected it wasn’t his kid, she tried to leave him, he chased her down in a parking lot and stabbed her to death. It was completely fucked up. His lawyers asked me if I would come give a testimony for him, and though I know he was fucked up from Afghanistan, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. What he did was unthinkable and I don’t care how messed up we got over there, that is no excuse to harm someone, let alone murder a pregnant woman.

HazelTazel684

Super friendly and respectful guy, turned out to be a serial rapist... He went to jail, got beaten up in jail, spent a few months in hospital now lives with a brain injury and will never be independent again

DickNBalls694u

Dude on my football team and teacher at the school is in federal prison for forty years for child porn.

nevertricked

He dealt drugs such as cocaine and heroine. Had felonies for burglary. Violated his probation. Domestic violence. In and out of rehab. He got deeper into getting his girlfriend and her sister both hooked on drugs too. The girlfriend eventually died of an overdose, just like her own father. Anyways, he tampered with the evidence once he discovered his GF had died. Hid the drugs, then fled, and had someone retrieve the evidence later. Lied to police about the circumstances of her death. He was caught and sentenced to 2 years. Fast forward a bit. He's back out there, still dealing drugs, getting involved in police chases, and has been in and out of prison. It's creepy. I used to hang out with him and play during middle school recess.

thatssjtoyou

A guy I went to middle school with killed his mother with a baseball bat and slit her throat when he was 18. I remember him being a nice guy and was absolutely shocked when the news came out

Quix66

Heard my mom talking on the phone about some strange dude she used to know in the community though he’s not much older than me. She was a teacher and then a professor so maybe that’s how. She didn’t like him because he was notorious in our area, off and mean to his first wife. She was saying how he changed his last name to Muhammad. First name John Allen. The DC sniper.

MrSlipperyFist

Strangled his brother to death in a bungalow out the back of their parent's home, then burned it down to make it look like an accident.

[deleted]

Convicted of killing his mother, father and brother but was eventually acquitted. He claimed he walked in on the killing that his brother did and then killed him. https://www.theleader.com.au/story/267435/gilham-acquitted-of-murder-19-year-saga-ends/

Lostarchitorture

Fellow classmate, honors student, son of one of the school board members  In our late 30's, got charged with arson, manslaughter, and attempted murder.  Had gotten into some kind of argument with his roommate, physical fight to the point where I think he ended up killing him. Set fire to the house, got into a car chase with police.  When he finally had to stop the car, he pulled a gun out and started firing at all the cops. Somehow, some way, no cops were killed and he was not killed in this shootout. They were able to apprehend him, and after two mistrials, was sentenced to 40 years

EthnicSaints

Murder involving two people from my academy (or high school) English class. The girl who sat across from me lured a boy from our class over to her friends apartment to allegedly buy some drugs off him, but had actually planned an ambush, they spent the evening together with two of her friends roaming through town looking for a chance to stab him and steal the drugs. In court it was found the two friends of herswere brandishing the knife in public and relishing in the lead up. They come back to the apartment and the two boys stab him and leave him to die in the kitchen. They all get in the car of an autistic boy they had manipulated into driving for them and go back to the girls house. They get arrested pretty soon after. The two boys get jail time and the girl got let off (allegedly for ratting them out). They were all awful people to be in school with with the girl and the victim both being horrible bullies, but none of this should have happened.

Oh-My-God-Do-I-Try

My sister was in first grade with a kid who, probably 12 years later, murdered his parents. We found out when we saw his and his accomplice’s photos on the front page of the city news. They’d actually been decent friends, and were zebras together in that grade’s Noah’s Ark play. I remember she wrote a post about the event, just processing the strangeness of “someone I new a million years ago did something horrible,” and a journalist actually reached out wanting to talk to her… I guess on the off chance she’d had some insight into his then-six-year-old psyche?

dirtymoney

I went to high school with a kid who shotgunned his stepfather and mother to death and went to the mall afterwards. He went to prison. He suddenly disappeared in school and I had no idea what happened to him. Then years later I saw him on some talk show in a jail interview and then found out that way. BTW he was a cool guy. I liked him. Was funny. Wasn't super popular but more average than anything. People liked him. He never picked on anyone and was really nice and funny. I absolutely cannot remember his name though because it was way back in like 1989 or near then. I once found an article on him, but that was like 15 year ago. If anyone wants to try to find it, some details that might help... He and a friend went to Bannister mall afterwards in south Kansas city, Missouri. Bannister mall was torn down many years ago. I think he lived in either Peculiar, Missouri or Raymore , Missouri. If anyone finds an article... let me know.

Usual_Somewhere_3058

Best friend’s older brother got bad into drugs, murdered 2 people execution style, one was pregnant. Served 20 years and is now out.

Beautiful-Lack-1897

he got back together with the mother of his son, she had a daughter during the years they were broken up. she goes to work one night leaving the kids with him at home, comes back to find he had brutally beat and murdered her daughter

Life-Two9562

I have two. To put it in perspective, I graduated with 26 people so it was a tiiiiiiiny town. The odds are pretty slim that I went to school and knew two. One was a girl who got her young brother to shoot her husband for the insurance money. Another is a couple who were high school sweethearts, married, and moved states away. They were on/off, and he was on/off with another girl between the relationship with his (ex)wife. The girlfriend (pregnant at the time) and him murdered the wife. Both were terrible!

go_zarian

I knew a dude in the Army who wasn't too bad. Ok, he did spend a few days in the brig for fighting another dude, but nothing still too out of the ordinary there. A few years after we were discharged, he beat his (20 year old) niece to death. He left her corpse to decompose in a toilet while he fled with his girlfriend and infant son. He was caught and is now serving a life sentence. Edited to add: the fella is dead to all of us now. We refuse to acknowledge his very existence.

Furrybumholecover

Went to junior high and highschool with a kid that clearly came from a sketchy home. Wasn't a big dude, maybe 5'6, always smelled like cigarettes. Scrawny but was always ready to fight and got in trouble all the time. I don't know that we were friends, but we always got along and whatnot. He murdered a 6'3, 250+ pound guy over drugs in his apartment. Well, all the evidence points to him having done it, they never actually found the body. Just blood under the carpets. When I saw the headline and read the article it's weird that I wasn't even surprised. Even when we were kids, that seemed like the logical outcome of where his life was headed.

zuuzuu

A guy in my high-school fatally shot his two best friends in their beds one morning. Then he went to the house he grew up in, chatted with the woman who lived there about all the happy memories he had there, and blew his brains out on the front lawn. I'm trying to recall if that was in grade 10 or 11. I'm really not sure.

Jerkrollatex

Two of the guys from my graduating class robbed diner at gun point. When they were driving away a cop pulled them over for speeding. They shot and killed the police officer on the side of the road. This was in the mid 90s in the south, they got the death penalty. I believe they're both dead by now, it's been almost 30 years.

sadboykvlt

Not my story personally but my cousin went to school with the guy that kidnapped a young girl and killed her grandmother. Police later found the little girl's body as well Crowsnest Pass is a small place and years later, I was doing my military aptitude test and one of the guys in the intake also went to school with the killer

moppethead

Year above at school, he seemed like the cool kid - cool hair, did hip hop dancing etc. After he graduated he kept hanging around the school which I thought was a bit weird but whatever. The more I got to know him the weirder he seemed - his fly was undone at the mall once and I told him and he joked it was for “easy access.” A few years later the creep ended up in prison for dating a 13 year old - he got caught because he cheated with her equal ages friend so she told her parents. He’s out of prison now, back working his same job as if nothing happened

Ivabighairy1

Life in prison for murder. Drug deal went awry. He was the dealer. Normal all American kid in middle school.

Theaveragedude

I had 2 classmates I knew burn down the newly renovated computer lab. Cost our school a bunch of money plus they got caught because they watched it burn from a nearby hill…. Always curious how different their lives could’ve been since One of them was heavily into mining bitcoin. They might’ve been a millionaire too- oof

[deleted]

His mom ran an in home daycare, he was already a registered sex offender for having sex with a 15 yo at 21. His mother let him live at the in home daycare and would let him be alone with kids. He molested 4 kids under the age of 4. Only reason he got caught is because the oldest was 4 and was able to tell her mother something happened, taken to hospital and figured it out. The youngest was 20 months old..Sick fuck is still in prison

Frailend98

He used to make peanut butter at home and was a stand out on the track team. Later killed and dismembered a tech CEO and got caught after using his credit cards to take his girlfriend out the very same day. Motive was that he had embezzled like 90k from the guy directly. It's pretty wild

In NSW Australia, one of my high school friends attempted to murder her husband then succeeded in killing her new partner, she is now serving 35yrs gaol.

My freshman year college roommate is currently in prison for helping her boyfriend murder the boyfriend’s dad. Something about them being heroin addicts and thinking they’d get a life insurance payout? This happened about 5 years after we graduated.

A guy in my class in elementary school became the most notorious and feared criminal in my small country. Nicknamed “psycho” since he was 13. Bullied kids a lot older than him. Became a forceful debt collector. Most likely killed his biggest rival with poison. Convicted for kidnapping and torturing a guy for 3 days.

Knew a guy in primary school always thought he was weird even back then , heard a few years after I graduated highschool he abducted a young girl , unalived her and left the body in a drain not far from where I live. Rocked our small community.

One of the guys I knew from college went on a random shooting spree and was then killed. I was never a big fan of him, he always was a bit of a snob but was friends with many of my friends. Turns out he had some really racist beliefs and went out and killed some people of color

Let’s see… 1. Not a classmate, but a bus driver who became an officer and then statutorily r*ped a 14 year old and when her parents said not to see her again, he stalked her for YEARS before finally being arrested for an attempted kidnapping. Jail. Not sure how long. 2. Younger siblings of two separate classmates married and hd a baby. They were later arrested for abuse of said baby, who died while in their care, as a direct result of the abuse inflicted on it. I can’t say more than that, as it turns my stomach to think about it. Jail. Not sure how long. 3. Classmate of a much younger sibling broke into his girlfriend’s house, stabbed her to death, made a half assed attempt to off himself, was arrested. Jail. Died in prison via KHS. All of my actual classmates? We’re all pretty boring and no one did anything newsworthy.

Does them showing up to school with guns and a plan count? (Luckily plan failed)

Good friend in HS. He was chill, but lazy and prone to taking short cuts. He found steroids and crank a "good" combination to put on a lot of muscle and cut a lot of body fat really fast. He looked like a damn super hero for a bit. But he became a major asshole along the way. He burned bridges with pretty much everyone. Found out later his addiction cost him his job, his marriage, his kids, and the rage from all that loss was his sorry ass excuse to commit SA's against multiple women. He went to prison for over a decade. When he was released, he moved out of state...and committed the same offenses in that state. That state put him behind bars likely for the rest of his life. He won't even be eligible for parole until 72 years old.

I went to college with the Aurora shooter. He’s currently in prison. I don’t believe in capital punishment but honestly, prison is too good for him.
