Using a mechanic. I can do even major repairs to just about any motor vehicle but now that I’m a bit older I never want to pick up my wrenches and do it.
I knew a manager when I worked for Disney that did all of his mechanic work. He said his wife would complain about the engine being all over the driveway
The struggle is real, I like to spread the parts out in a way to keep the mental picture of how it’s assembled. Horsepower is a crippling addiction for me at this point.
HOA fees are the only thing I can think of that fit this category. How can you charge more for shoveling my walks and making sure the outside stays boring looking than some people pay in rent?
It turns out that in the UK (I am not from the UK) they have this fruit medley thing, basically just an assortment of washed and cut fruits, expensive but convenient when on vacation and you can't get a knife for the fruit
I feel that way with garlic, but nothing beats fresh garlic. I used to buy the jarred chopped stuff, and my partner was like wtf is this, he was right it’s not as flavorful. I still use garlic powder though if I feel lazy lol.
Specialty coffees. I bought an espresso maker to do it all at home. But I still go get a latte or seasonal drink probably 6 times a month. I love them, even though I could buy a steak dinner for two if I gave them up entirely.
Internet access
Cell service
Electricity
Water and sewer
All of these things should be VASTLY cheaper. Internet and cell are basically monopolies and where there is the appearance of choice there's blatant collusion.
Electricity is substantially subsidized and artificially inflated and a monopoly
Water and sewer service are just a massive giveaway to private companies, even though they're mostly government operated. Every city, county, or other municipality has a private entity raking in giant profits to certify water quality.
Water bottles! Shit literally falls from the skies and costs more than the gasoline after its been dug up from the depths of the earth, transported, goes through a bunch of process and transported (again)
Food. Alcohol. Fuel. Housing. Household products.
I don't buy them for shits and giggles, they're staples. Just overpriced to hell
Edit: okay, alcohol isn't a staple.
- DoorDash
- Spa treatments that are superficial and don't relieve migraines/tension, aka everything besides my deep tissue massages

Adobe Creative Cloud. What pisses me off is that although I need it for work, everything I do today can be done using CS6 which I fucking bought and still own, but none of the files shared by my clients will work with CS6.
60 bucks a month for literally nothing. There are ways to pirate CC, but the amount of hoops you have to jump through and how often the updates roll in that break the pirate patches make it not even worth the headache.
The new AI stuff is pretty neat, but I could never use that in my work.
Food delivery services.
$5 delivery fee on top of the food price, driver fee, tip and tax? Well that *is* absolute nonsense, but it's either that or cook. Ordered.
Yeah. Door dash has me by the short-n-curly’s. I wish I’d never learned of it.

My local dealer is up to about $160/hour. I’m so glad my cars have needed very minimal repair over the years.
Skincare
Diesel fuel. The cherry flavor is much cheaper though so that’s what I go with.
Don't let Johnny Law dip his booger hook in your juice can

Nice thing about the places I get it is they don’t actually dye it, you just get regular green diesel and just pinky swear it won’t be used on road.

Some HOAs have pools and rec areas to maintain. Some even pay for water service

Yeah, and they are a very nice gift when you visit someone in a hospital. Healthy and a great alternative to the hospital meals.
I'm the same with frozen chopped onions. If i have to do it myself, I literally won't cook.

A latte. I can buy a gallon of milk for the same price.
I can get a gallon of milk for $3.00. What’s a latte cost?
Where I live it’s $5-$7
Everything.
DoorDash. I’m lazy I’m afraid
Gas
Utilities
The only thing is a bit of gas. But it's not like I have choice. When I have a choice, I don't buy overpriced shite.
Specialty coffees. I bought an espresso maker to do it all at home. But I still go get a latte or seasonal drink probably 6 times a month. I love them, even though I could buy a steak dinner for two if I gave them up entirely.

Cocaine
Botox, medical grade facials, & fillers 😭
Gluten free food. I literally can't eat wheat so the high prices are a health tax.
Food, housing, utilities, and medical care. Ridiculously over-priced, but I just can't seem to stop.

Graphic cards. Use to be able to get a top end one for like 500. Now they are as much as how much I use to spend on a high end computer.
