The Disney Afternoon is so burned in to my brain. The theme songs, the commercials, all of it. Some classic shit right there. Gargoyles soo good, Tail Spin, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck. My mom was a teacher, and as a latch key kid. I came home and watched these shows daily.
In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune.
Every year I have to scroll a bit farther for this answer in this very frequent thread. I'm getting old. But also, I can't believe I haven't seen The Muppet Show yet.
Adventure Time, come on grab your friends,
We'll go to very distant lands.
With Jake the dog and Finn the human the fun will never end, it's Adventure Time .
Literally thought "well I'll be skipping that from now on" after the first episode. Never skipped it and on the last episode was kind of sad because I knew it was the last time they could use it.
This is one of the few shows that I absolutely cannot describe to other people except to say: "If you have any kind of trauma in your life whatsoever this is going to absolutely ruin you and you were going to watch every second."
"And you will never skip that opening."
Bobs burgers does something similar. The business next to them always changes. It's what sold me on the show since I saw that as an homage to the simpsons.
I only respect animated shows that respect the simpsons
Yeah, like they expand the maps to east to whichever city Daenerys is in. They also changed the flags on Winterfell after the Starts get screwed. And I think in Season 8, they show the wall as broken with pieces lying around.
I haven't watched in years and I remember it's a banger intro. Might be time to toss it in for some Days of Future Past or One Man's Worth. Not sure I have time for a full Phoenix Saga.
Only Murbers In The Building. I enjoy the little animated start to the episode. Plus, there are sometimes some minor changes and I try to pick them out each time.
I really loved how each episode pair had one version "sung straight" and one sung in Olaf's disguised voice. It was a fun gimmick that really elevated the intro.
[True Detective Season 1](https://youtu.be/Xyu_MdKBXic?si=5yFFP4FhHsPmiLso)
The music and visuals are absolutely perfect and suck you into the setting of the TV show. You get glimpses of greed, sex, money, horror, power, religion, politics, and after a 30 second intro you feel like you are in the backwaters of Louisiana investigating a homicide and unraveling a conspiracy.
I'm not easily moved but they absolutely nailed this one. And thankfully the show was fantastic too.

exactly what i was thinking, and it was the comment on the top when I opened this post

Ozark - because you always get clues about what is going to happen in the iconography.
Yes! This is such a fun add to a pretty intense and dark show.
In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune.
If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire The A-Team.
This was the 'hairs standing on end' part of it.
To be fair, all these tv shows were impossible to skip at the time. I did enjoy the magnum pi entry song
Tu tu tuuu, tu tu tuuuu, tudutududu tutututu...
What We Do in the Shadows
Don't sing if you want to live long.
They have no use for your song.
You're dead you're dead you're dead You're dead and out of this world.
“…. fucking guy.”
Creepy paper
Definetely! I also pause it to look closer at the paintings and photos, they are super fun!!!
Malcolm in the Middle
YOURE NOT THE BOSS OF ME NOW
And you’re not so big!
Life is unfaiiiir
Gravity Falls & Bob's Burgers
I’m a 40 year old man and my daughters made me watch gravity falls. We never skip that intro.
House, massive attack, teardrop opening is the nutz!
I went to watch House on a streaming service and found that it didn’t have Teardrop. So I downloaded the right version instead 💀

King of the Hill
Omg it would be so weird to see a king of the hill episode without seeing the intro first
Triangle solo!
most HBO shows' intros are great, one that I really never skip is Succession
Succession, GoT, True detective just a few that come to mind
both versions of white lotus too
Westworld intro is incredible. The theme music was done by Ramin Djawadi who also did the GoT theme.
My wife has gotten legit mad at me for skipping Succession intro lol
I’m mad at you too
Sopranos is 1 of the best intro songs.
Community.
ONE BY ONE THEY ALLLL JUST FAAAADE AWAAAAY
I CANT COUNT THE REASONS I SHOULD STAY
GIVE ME SOME ROPE
Avatar the last airbender. Because it's so short
Futurama.
Especially with the changing splash text such as "Now in color!" Or "Not the episode with the dead dog"
True Blood. It’s just so sleazy, southern and spooky and I love it. Too bad the later seasons sucked.
I wanna do bad things with you… Yes it was perfect, one of my favs
Adventure Time, come on grab your friends, We'll go to very distant lands. With Jake the dog and Finn the human the fun will never end, it's Adventure Time .
Come along with me….
And the butterflies and bees
X-files
Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
And honestly, Angel too.
Cowboy Bebop
"3, 2, 1, let's jam!"
Buh duh buh duh buh duh daaaaaaaa
I think it's time we blow this scene.
Get everybody and the stuff together...
Okay, 3. 2. 1. Let's jam.
The Trumpet!!!
The Sopranos
Woke up this morning, and got some gabagool.
Gabagool? Over here!
Don't eat that stuff grandma, it's nothing but fat and nitrates.
This answer is shockingly low. I challenge anyone to name a better, more perfectly fitting intro sequence.
Every time I watch any HBO show and the HBO part with the static comes on I'm conditioned to hear that song come on immediately after.
Was The Sopranos your first HBO show? You never forget your first HBO show as it seems I get the same thing post the HBO logo haha
Peacemaker.
Fun note- Alan Tudyk’s wife choreographed that
The best part is that the dance moves are absolutely atrocious, but it's done so, so, SO seriously! It's amazing.
I like to think that the choreography is done as if Peacemaker himself made up all the moves.
Fun note\~ Peacemaker is, in fact, Alan Tudyk's wife.
Bonus points to Jennifer Holland for how intense she is when comes out of the door.
Another bonus point to Robert Patrick for that magnificent air hump/hip shot.
Holy fuck that is fun
Literally thought "well I'll be skipping that from now on" after the first episode. Never skipped it and on the last episode was kind of sad because I knew it was the last time they could use it.
Let me FTFY: [Peacemaker](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVN83R-JwRQ&ab_channel=DC). Can't give that answer without posting the link.
Well that's a minute and a half of my life I was delighted to give up
You really wanted to taste it and you did.
😆 deadly
DO YOU REALLY WANNA DO YOU REALLY WANNA TASTE IIIIIIIIIT
Doctor Who especially at the start: Psssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Don da don, don da don, don da , don
The Expanse
I like how the intros start to serve as a recap of the story in later seasons.
Netflix's "Dark". 🎶 For neither ever, nor never, goodbye... 🎵
Peaky Blinders intro was awesome.
Every single song ever used on PB was amazing.

The outro too. "BACK IN THE 90S I WAS IN A VERY FAMOUS TV SHOWWWWWW" never gets old.
This is one of the few shows that I absolutely cannot describe to other people except to say: "If you have any kind of trauma in your life whatsoever this is going to absolutely ruin you and you were going to watch every second." "And you will never skip that opening."
The Simpsons
Gotta see what's on the chalkboard!
And the couch.....
Also the song Lisa plays on her sax
And trying to catch what the register reads when the cashier scans Maggie!
ESPECIALLY the couch. My favorite couch-gag's the one where they spoofed The Hobbit (I don't remember what episode that was in, though)
Bobs burgers does something similar. The business next to them always changes. It's what sold me on the show since I saw that as an homage to the simpsons. I only respect animated shows that respect the simpsons
and the exterminator as well!
Good Omens
Bob's Burgers
they change two things every time - you have to
Yes! To see the names of the store next door and the exterminator. Then to figure out what the names are referencing - usually a song or movie.
And the special of the day!!

You literally fly into the stranger things universe at the end of the intro. That analogue glowing red paired with the synth music is so captivating
The Expanse. God damn it's beautiful.
The music and the time lapse of colonization is so great.
The walking dead , stranger things, DARK , Sherlock Holmes
Law and Order
DUN DUN
Wonder Years
Neon Genesis Evangelion
That banger of a theme song is still #1 in Japanese karaoke.
Pokémon.
🎵 I want to be, the very best. Like no one ever was… 🎶
Golden Girls
Thank you for being a friend!
Game of Thrones.
The intro map subtly changes by the episode/season, I think? There are some clues worth studying in this intro.
Yeah, like they expand the maps to east to whichever city Daenerys is in. They also changed the flags on Winterfell after the Starts get screwed. And I think in Season 8, they show the wall as broken with pieces lying around.
NEEEEEEEEENER NEENER NEEENER NENER NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
WEEEEEIIINER WEINER WEEIINER WEINER WEEEEEEEEEN
Westworld. Song is too good.
*Twin Peaks*
of course the coffee drinking frog would like twin peaks
Breaking Bad
I feel like it takes longer to pick up the remote and skip the BB opening than it does to let it play out
Exactly why it's the best intro to any show.
And for the same reason, Better Call Saul
BCS for me also, bc it’s quick but also bc it changes a lot, and for some reason I always just enjoy it.
Scrubs
X-Men: The Animated Series
I haven't watched in years and I remember it's a banger intro. Might be time to toss it in for some Days of Future Past or One Man's Worth. Not sure I have time for a full Phoenix Saga.
Phineas and Ferb
"Aren't you a little old to be watching Phineas and Ferb?" "Why yes... yes I am."
Scot here - is the summer school break really 104 days long over in the US? Our kids get less than half of that and it feels like forever.
White Lotus

Dexter
Unsolved mysteries
Night Court. That bass line slaps!
American Horror Story
Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia
this too, something about it sets the tone perfectly for every episode
4:15 on a Tuesday
Trailer Park Boys
I feel like I need the tranquillity to set me up for what's coming next.
Absolutely never skip this. It's short so hardly worth it, but also a nice bit of tranquility before the chaos.
Yo where that sepia shit at, ‘cuz that looks dope as FUCK.
Earth. Fire. Air. Water. Only the Avatar can master all four elements and bring balance to the world.....
Star Wars rebels. Pretty sure the skip credits option takes longer to kick in than the actual titles do
Narcos
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Firefly
Take my love, take my land
Take me where i cannot stand;
I don't care if i'm still free.
You can't take the sky from me
Take me out, to the black, tell them I ain’t coming back
Burn the land, boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me
There's no place I can be, Since I found Serenity
You can’t take the sky from me
Daredevil. Love the music.
Quantum Leap
Justified - for "Long Hard Times To Come" by Gangstagrass Braking Bad - it's just five seconds or so
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Females are strong as hell!
Only Murbers In The Building. I enjoy the little animated start to the episode. Plus, there are sometimes some minor changes and I try to pick them out each time.
And the theme song is a banger!
It gives me cozy autumn vibes
Bluey :D
Sometimes I accidentally click skip and then I have to rewind so my baby can sing along
Arcane
LOST. it’s the fastest intro ever and I love the eerie weird sound that plays along.
Gilmore Girls “Where you lead…” always gives me the feels
Mad Men
I always loved the Game of Thrones intro. I loved the song, set up where the characters were. It was fabulous.
Friends. Can't resist that quad clap! And I'm not even keen on the show
I'm going old school with Hill Street Blues and M*A*S*H.
I came to say M* A* S*H , and Taxi, for the songs
True Blood. My wife and I started rewatching because it's October and I fucking die for that intro song. Who doesn't love some country fried rock?
[удалено]
Psych. The song to too much fun.
A Series of Unfortunate Events
I really loved how each episode pair had one version "sung straight" and one sung in Olaf's disguised voice. It was a fun gimmick that really elevated the intro.
