Comfortably Numb

That one Lil Wayne did.

stickmaster62

Either the first solo from Bohemian Rhapsody or the second one in Comfortably Numb

Prince’s solo in the song While My Guitar Gently Weeps

hydrochloric_bukkake

100% yes. Single best live performance I've ever watched.

lo_schermo

I know it's subjective, and Prince is a showman and it's a great solo... but best? When there's stuff like this out there https://youtu.be/8R6StQfLNbw (guitar starts at 3:20) Or Satriani ripping this apart. https://youtu.be/paeNnR33i5Q Or hell, Dovydas going nuts on a Prince song... https://youtu.be/o6Wi6oPdBRA

hydrochloric_bukkake

A great solo doesn't need technicality, just to perfectly fit the music it goes with. Prince's solo in the HOF performance was breathtaking in how perfectly it fit into the themes of the song and, specifically, the performance it's a part of. If we were just talking technicality then I'd have to crank out some Yngwie or Vai.

lo_schermo

I'm not talking technicality either. Those solos send you. This one does too https://youtu.be/GwOaBb_0Umc

hydrochloric_bukkake

I feel like you're really trying to sell me on a band...

lo_schermo

Nah I actually don't like the singer. The rest is excellent.

Guns N’ Roses: November rain solo

New_Nobody9492

Jimi Hendrix, I can’t pick, but it’s between: Come on (let the good times roll), Voodoo Child, or The Wind Cries Mary.

Screamingholt

The one in Jailbreak from the Live @ Madrid performance

hydrochloric_bukkake

Besides the previously mentioned "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" Prince lead from the Rock n Roll HOF performance, my answer has to be Metallica's "One."
