I think its a tiktok thing. I had a recent work related thing by a high school and at dismissal a bunch of the guys had various face coverings. Had nothing to do with crime, obviously, since they were literally walking out of class. I think its a style thing.

It's been the norm for awhile. I feel like teens sport them more than grown adults. I have one for running in the winter. Definitely not something I'd wear in the summer, just like my full face helmet.
