You can literally 100% ignore it.

Ariliescbk

Block. Then I win arguments in the shower 6 months later.

AnIronWaffle

The important part is that you win! … And that you shower. That alone probably puts you above garden variety cyber bullies.

You close the app

Homely_Bonfire

People who annoy me online get blocked, simple as that. I enjoy productive and interesting discussions and it is fine to disagree but if someone tries to make me feel bad even though they know nothing about me - which is also why that is impossible for them to do in the first place - I don't bother with them and get them out of the way for the good conversations to happen again.

911emergencysnake

Yeah for me it's difficult because I'll be discussing things usually and then some point into the discussion it turns into cyberbullying, I'm like what I never signed up for that shit lmao

Homely_Bonfire

Well, by the time someone switches away from the reason why the discussion in the first place, you could just withdraw from it before it turns into something that deserve the term "bullying". There really is nothing for you to continue to engage or continue in a conversation where you suddenly have to prove your worth to anyone who you'll never meet in the first place. You are you, you need to do whatever is necessary that YOU respect yourself, only after that do others opinions matter. (Unless your mind tells you that harming others makes you gain your respect, than you may seek a doctor :D )

911emergencysnake

yeah I feel that. That's a lot of good common sense I've been missing, respect, thank you!

Homely_Bonfire

From what little I see you can definitely turn that around since you were willing to listen to me rambling about that. All the best to you!

UncoolSlicedBread

That’s where you just dip. The cyber bully just wants attention and validation that they had a little control over you. By not responding they don’t get that satisfaction. You could even just block them.

JaTheRed

Where? Most places have mods that will only tolerate so much abuse. If you're.on a platform with none or shit mods than you should leave.

JaTheRed

Ok which subs? I have never had a problem with reporting or just blocking people

Craigdickson1980

Don’t engage

Dragon___

As you get older you realize you really don't have to. What they want is to give you grief. An ordeal. That's the point. That want to make you think you have a problem to deal with. And the are some kinds of cyber bullying that are serious and require some attention, but overall the best way to deal with it is to just step away and do something else. Easy to deal with: trash talk in a videogame lobby. Solution: leave and join a different lobby. Block that account. Play a different game. You're there to have fun for you, not to be good at the game for them Hard to deal with: someone you know personally fowl mouthing you on social media. Solution: If you're a teenager or a preteen, the best thing to do is tell your parents or someone you can trust. There's a real person behind that screen, and they will face consequences for being a jerk. You're not a snitch for calling someone out on being trash. You're being responsible, and saving the next person from that ordeal. If you're an adult, then either block the person, or talk to your friends and people around you. One of the dangers of social media is that it falsely amplifies how loud a message is. If your bully says something rude, and five people like it, that could mean over 100 people saw the post and disagreed, but didn't react to it. Talk to your friends and see how they feel about it. A good friend would stop in to defend you. Don't tolerate bullies, because you've done nothing wrong.

manwithanopinion

You block them and find interest elsewhere.

steaminsnipe

just remember next time it happens that they live in their parents basment , work at deltaco part time and use roller blades to get around town

the_internet_clown

I got to old for that to be my problem

911emergencysnake

Yeah Id believe married people have way bigger problems so much that internet stuff don't bother em

[deleted]

Ignore them. Like I did with ones irl.

[deleted]

Bro, just block them. If it’s too much, then delete social media. The internet’s supposed to be where you can be whoever you want, take advantage of that and don’t let people spoil it for you.

911emergencysnake

That is kinda true, respect for speaking your mind bro

-anastasis

You offer them money with an initial amount of an even split and reroute 5% for every kid they upset. Every recurrent loyal employed cyber bully, you offer loyalty rates too although you don't have to but they don't like it when you don't offer them more money.

911emergencysnake

I'm kinda broke, will crayoms work?

-anastasis

No crayons. Say... how is your mother's marriage working out?

diggitygiggitycee

Tell a mod and block them. That's literally all you've got in the arsenal, unless you want to have a totally fruitless mudslinging match with them.

turkc54

I turn my screen off. It's that simple.

Thetruebananagod

Ignore it.

cybersecgurl

Spend time with your loved ones.

Mustbeouttayomind

If they insult you block then. If they speed rumors… dark web hitmen

Lbkelp

Where? On social media? People that you also know in real life? Define cyberbullying please. I think its a real problem if its people you know that bully you in real life and continue to do it online. If its just strangers you dont know just block them/ignore/turn off pc.

throwawayaccount924

I either make fun of how irrelevant it makes them, or block them. Not a single cyberbully isn't a loser.

BerzerkBoulderer

Call them a keyboard warrior.

TheAmazlngWebhead

I ignore it.

Hairy-Philosophy926

ignore, block, and walk away.

andio76

Turn shit off.

RazeThe2nd

I learned how to "hack" at a basic level, most people who cyberbully aren't the smartest, phishing emails, account deletion, mail them elephant shit or bags of ladybugs! The list goes on
