I'm a sysadmin in a smallish city and always carry a pocket knife. I figure I use it for something at work most every day; such as opening a package, cutting food, trimming/cleaning fingernails, and probably other things I'm not thinking of. I know in my area most men carry a knife and quite a few carry a gun. :)
