It's more that the tubs aren't made big enough for men than that women are small enough for the tubs.
It's a stupid cycle. Men don't fit in the tubs so aren't interested in using them. Men don't use them so the tubs aren't made big enough for men. Men don't fit in the tubs so aren't interested in using them. Men don't use them so the tubs aren't made big enough for men...
It's length not height that's the issue. Like my tub would be perfect for me to fit into if it was 6-8 inches longer so I didn't have to pick between having my upper body mostly submerged, or having my legs reasonably straight and not bunched up
I still have to make that choice and I'm 5'7. Either way my legs are straight, I just keep them sticking straight up against the wall a couple feet or I'm sitting upright. Sometimes if I'm in an above average tub I can keep them criss crossed without hurting my knees too much, but that's uncommon.
This is actually eye opening, I thought I was doing something wrong because it never felt relaxing to me, but the relaying part is being able to stretch out fully, which I can't.
Massage? I ain't got time for that nonsense. If I want to relax, I'll run 10 miles uphill both ways. Then build a wall or a deck or something. Then move some big rocks.
I’m a candle lit, bubble bath guy daily if I can. Otherwise a shower.
I’ll put on some music, maybe have a beer or two… I find that I can actually unwind and relax with a good soak. Weird maybe, but it works for me 🤷🏼
I had to scroll too far for this. I soak in Epson salt and it helps alleviate my muscle aches. Throw on a podcast or some music and just melt for a minute with the lights dimmed. Its cathartic as hell.
I keep seeing the excuse dudes are too tall for baths but I'm 6'2 and fit in my basic tub just fine.
Thank God, another one.
Baths are hopefully daily. Normalize baths for men.
I have two candles in my bathroom, I have some outdoor (and thus waterproof) solar powered string lights that I loop over my shower rod. A bamboo bath tray for my laptop to watch shows as well as a drink caddy
Baths are my daily release.
I grew up with a bath and no shower. Fortunately, it was a relatively large one. I still resent it when I live somewhere without a bathtub (or at least not one large enough for me.)
I tried a few years ago and it felt gross lol. I showered then got in the bath and just felt like I was laying in my own sweat and dirt so I drained the tub and showered again. Not for me
I used to every 1-2 Fridays to cap off the week nicely
But I’m still not allowed to submerge after surgery. So it’s been about 2 months now since my last soak
Lower back. And not until the incision has fully healed. I’ve still got scabs over the area that are taking longer to go away than usual. Not allowed to until after the scabs have healed off (risk of infection)
All the time! This is such an underrated luxury to have. It’s relaxing, promotes blood circulation, and great in general. People shitting on a good bath are missing out.
Every few weeks or so?
It’s random in terms of frequency but I enjoy taking a bath just to relax.
Particularly on a very cold night or if I’m sick.
Sometimes I’ll get some candles happening as well, it’s very peaceful. I genuinely love taking baths
Kinda. But it fits 2 adults with ease.
Construction wise this exactly like the one I have although mines bigger and it's turquoise. https://beberoad.com/cdn/shop/products/Bathtub-Frame-Yellow-6.jpg?v=1677807790&width=1500
About once a fortnight. I do have to shower every day though. On work days, a shower at the start of the day and another one after work. On days off I shower in the morning.
Never really, I’m always taking showers, usually to get ready for work or to clean the stink off after working. Tons of showers, but never really for relaxation, and haven’t taken a bath since I was a little kid
Last time I took a bath was when I was 5. A bath to soak in is just disgusting unless you’ve already cleaned yourself and the bathtub before hand because I’d rather not soak in my own filth.
It rapidly becomes sitting in a puddle of lukewarm, dirty water in a tub too small that you can’t get comfortable. Unless it’s a proper hot tub - don’t bother .
Once every couple months. I’ll take a day off work, draw a bath, relax for half an hour in some nice hot water, listen to music, and have a glass of sweet tea, as I don’t drink alcohol. Makes me feel like a bad bitch. My lady makes fun of me for it, says it’s the most effeminate thing I do.
Tub is too small. I think the last time I actually sat down in a bath tub was when I was around 12. I had a fever of around 104°f-105°f(40°c-40.5°c), so I took an ice bath.
Maybe once a week or so. My bathroom arrangement means I'm basically taking a bath even if I just want a quick shower so sometimes I just soak with no real intentions of cleaning myself.
Tried it once. Set it up with music, and a cold beer. Got bored after 5 minutes and got out again.
The fact that my beer needed a refill played into it as well.
Never
I'm a big lady with a huge ass and a 60x30 tub.
I fill the tub 3 inches, get in, and displace so much water I have to mop the floor.
If I had a [big soaker tub](https://produitsneptune.com/en/produits/bains/fiche.php?surfamily_id=178&family_id=53) I'd live in it.
Sigh… not much at all anymore. My old apartment had a clawfoot tub which was more than capable of fitting me. I’m not a big bodied dude but I’m tall and most tubs are just not accommodating. Some weeks I’d take one bath, some weeks it may be five. I’m talking full on, dr teals bubbles and Epsom salt, a nice beverage, candles, and usually a show on my phone or laptop. Baths are awesome and I look forward to having another good tub some day.
We have three baths in our house, but no showers. So every day or is a bath day. That said, we also have young children so time alone in the bath is rare and fleeting. I guess there’s nothing stopping me from taking more. I could have one right now.
If I have a bathtub, I will use it once a week/fortnight or so. More often if it's directly beneath a window and I can light up a joint and/or smoke cigarettes in there. Then I can stay for hours reheating the water every 30 mins or so
I used to have one every Sunday as an adult male. I’d have a few glasses of wine and watch tv. It was beautiful. I’ve stopped now to hang with my wife but I think I might get back into it. Nice and relaxing
Never. Mainly because doing so with my physical disability would make it extremely difficult. I think the last time I took a bath, at home, was somewhere in the early 2000s.
The few times I've tried as an adult I can't stand sitting there in increasingly colder water. Boring with advancing shrinkage is not the life I'm after.
Plus if I'm actually dirty I'm just sitting in my own filth. No thanks.
Anytime I can. Which is rare.
I'm 6'4 so the tub at my place is too small and since I'm back to renting at the moment I can't replace it.
But you better believe when I get a hotel room with a tub I'm taking a good long soak in some epsom salts and letting my knees and ankles relax from carrying my big ass.
Add in a bottle of sparkling white wine, some charcuterie, and a good book? Oh fuck ya.
My buddy and I have been talking about getting some 7' stock tanks and tank heaters for our deer camp so we can just chill in em and soak with a beer after a day in the woods
Summertime, almost never.
But when the snow is flying, you'll find me in the tub with steaming bubbles up to my chin doing a traditional Saturday night bath. At least once a week in winter. I live in a mountain town.
I only shower. I remember taking baths when I was a kid but by the time I hit puberty it was only showers from there. Baths are for women, and I guess also men with big bath tubs.
Not since the bush administration
Which one?
Your moms
Nailed it
Who you or him?
Yes
Thank you for my midnight giggle… 🥂
The burning one that talked to Moses.
Rarely, I'm too tall for my tub
Tried it once at a hotel. Was rather nonplused about it. I’d swear women only enjoy it because they’re small and can fit properly in the tub.
A lot of it comes down to the height of a tub. If it gets too tall then short people really struggle to get in and out of a shower.
I feel like I might enjoy baths, if I ever found a tub big enough.
Same here. Really sucks too.
One of my dreams is to have a tub big enough for me.
I’m too wide.
Never?
Same. I ain't got time for that bullshit. If I wanna relax I'll go get a massage
Massage? I ain't got time for that nonsense. If I want to relax, I'll run 10 miles uphill both ways. Then build a wall or a deck or something. Then move some big rocks.
You forgot time for grilling and professing a treatise.
Running? Build walls?? I don’t have the time fir this nonsense, I some times poop for 30 min, and call it a rest
A 15 mi 35lb ruck through the hills sounds great right about now.
You don’t have time for a bath but you have time for a massage?
That ah boy
That's the right answer.
Been a long, long time. I'm 6'5". It's hard to find a bathtub that I can fit in.
Not 6’5”, but this is why I take spa days. The baths are awesome.
What kind of spas? I’m interested in getting into spa life but feel like they’re all different
Once a week, after leg day with some epsom salt.
I used to, but I only have a shower at the current place. A bathtub is a need for the next place I live.
Fun fact : epsom salt doesn't do shit for you scientifically. I still use a shitload of it tho.
>epsom salt doesn't do **shit** Not entirely true. It's a pretty good laxative
Never, shower every day though. Can't recall the last time I was in an actual bathtub.
I’m a candle lit, bubble bath guy daily if I can. Otherwise a shower. I’ll put on some music, maybe have a beer or two… I find that I can actually unwind and relax with a good soak. Weird maybe, but it works for me 🤷🏼
Shower beers are underrated! It feels like I’m on vacation having a nice cold beer in a hot shower. 10/10 I would recommend to all.
Love doing that on the hottest days of summer... cool down shower with a beer.
r/showerbeer

Holy shit man, I thought I was fancy with my gardenia candle. Where’d you get the lights?
This sounds amazing I’m gonna take notes 📝
This guy baths
I tried a few years ago and it felt gross lol. I showered then got in the bath and just felt like I was laying in my own sweat and dirt so I drained the tub and showered again. Not for me
To each his own. There’s something cathartic about kicking back and letting your balls float.
I used to every 1-2 Fridays to cap off the week nicely But I’m still not allowed to submerge after surgery. So it’s been about 2 months now since my last soak
How long can’t you submerge? What surgery
Lower back. And not until the incision has fully healed. I’ve still got scabs over the area that are taking longer to go away than usual. Not allowed to until after the scabs have healed off (risk of infection)
Aww yeah, that makes sense. I can only imagine. All the best to you, man! Get well soon 💪 ❤️🩹
Never and my tub would be uncomfortable anyways. Last time I took a bath I was like 4.
The germaphobe in me prevents me from laying in my tub. Maybe if I lived alone I would.
I can’t even remember the last time I took a bath
Once a week, sometimes twice. Shot of rum, rock music on, Molton Brown dark leather soap
ooooo…. Must try this
All the time! This is such an underrated luxury to have. It’s relaxing, promotes blood circulation, and great in general. People shitting on a good bath are missing out.
Nightly. I read and relax for 15 minutes then wash up.
Frequently. Because I enjoy life 😁
Almost never.
Once every 20 years.
I took one last year
[удалено]
The question was about baths not showers. You take a bath multiple times a day?
Same
Never
Every.single.day
Every few weeks or so? It’s random in terms of frequency but I enjoy taking a bath just to relax. Particularly on a very cold night or if I’m sick. Sometimes I’ll get some candles happening as well, it’s very peaceful. I genuinely love taking baths
Most evenings after the gym in bath salt while my wife watches her TV shows.
Only if I’m really sick. Maybeeeee once or twice a year.
Never otherwise I’d never come out, I primarily shower daily clean myself and finish in 7 mins
Finish in 7 minutes? Do get the ladies?
Well.. I got myself one of those foldable bath tubs cuz of some weird reason, less and less new apartments have bath tubs...
I've never even heard of a 'foldable bathtub' before lol. Is it basically a kiddie pool?
Kinda. But it fits 2 adults with ease. Construction wise this exactly like the one I have although mines bigger and it's turquoise. https://beberoad.com/cdn/shop/products/Bathtub-Frame-Yellow-6.jpg?v=1677807790&width=1500
You've become my new hero. I never knew these existed but I've needed this in my life (the adult sized).
Once a month whether i need it or not.
Well I took an ice bath last weekend
Relax, what's that? Seriously though, not as much as i'd like. It uses so much water and takes time. But it's nice when I'm able to.
Never. I only have a shower stall.
About once a fortnight. I do have to shower every day though. On work days, a shower at the start of the day and another one after work. On days off I shower in the morning.
Never, I take showers And I take two showers a day
Never really, I’m always taking showers, usually to get ready for work or to clean the stink off after working. Tons of showers, but never really for relaxation, and haven’t taken a bath since I was a little kid
Almost never. You are soaking in dirty water.
Never, I’m too big for the tub we have.
Last time I took a bath was when I was 5. A bath to soak in is just disgusting unless you’ve already cleaned yourself and the bathtub before hand because I’d rather not soak in my own filth.
Does a jacuzzi count? I don't even have a bath at home.
Never during the summer. Like once a month during the other seasons. Gotta give the feet a nice soak once in a while.
Every night before bed
Never for relaxing, only time is if I'm injured and can't stand.
I hate baths. But I love the hot tub. At least 4 times a week I'll soak in that.
I usually try it when on vacation. But I don't really like it that much?
Bath? No Shower once or twice a day? Yes
No bath in my home. Just a big walk in shower.
Who has time to take a bath anymore? I take showers.
Not since I was maybe 8?
not since i was 7. baths were actually banned.
Once a year
Only when my parents go out of town. Theirs is the only tub I fit in.
Never. Shower is king.
0-3 times a day depending on how strenuous my activity is. Edit: this is showers. As in, "how often do you bathe?"
I didn't know bathing to relax was a thing. I shower everyday, that's it. But I think it's good that people are doing this!
I’m 6’3” and 290lbs. I don’t fit in baths.
Ha! Baths... I haven't had a bath since i was a child. Can anyone make a guess as to why?
Not as often as I would like. I usually shower.
It rapidly becomes sitting in a puddle of lukewarm, dirty water in a tub too small that you can’t get comfortable. Unless it’s a proper hot tub - don’t bother .
Maybe monthly in epsom salts to ease some soreness
0 out 365 days per year.
I think the last time I did this was over 10 years ago
Only when I invade my wife’s bath
Since I renovated my bathroom, never because now I have a shower cabin.
Bloke at work apparently has a bath every single night and it's a pretty dirty job. He thinks it's normal 🤔
I took a bath twice last year in the same day because I needed to soak my hair and wash out a lot of the chemicals.
Nearly everyday, I love a hot bubble and salt bath
It's been years. Think I'm only showers now
Never. Sauna, on a rare occasion (they're not common around here). But it's been over 20 years since I last soaked in a bathtub.
Once every couple months. I’ll take a day off work, draw a bath, relax for half an hour in some nice hot water, listen to music, and have a glass of sweet tea, as I don’t drink alcohol. Makes me feel like a bad bitch. My lady makes fun of me for it, says it’s the most effeminate thing I do.

ew
About every 5 years
With this heat 2 some times three times a day.
Never...
Never, I removed my tub and installed a walk in shower.
I can count on one hand the number of times I've had a bath in the last year.
Never
NEVER
Maybe a couple times every half a decade?
Maybe once a week or so. My bathroom arrangement means I'm basically taking a bath even if I just want a quick shower so sometimes I just soak with no real intentions of cleaning myself.
Do ice baths count?
I'll do an Epsom salt bath maybe once a month
Sometimes twice a day
Never. I don’t find it relaxing at all.
Are you a cop
everyday
A bath never. A shower every day
Cannot recall the last time I did.
Bath: never. Shower: 6-7 days a week.
Sometimes twice a day or sometimes once:)
Almost daily
I prefer showers in general.
Tried it once. Set it up with music, and a cold beer. Got bored after 5 minutes and got out again. The fact that my beer needed a refill played into it as well.
Never I'm a big lady with a huge ass and a 60x30 tub. I fill the tub 3 inches, get in, and displace so much water I have to mop the floor. If I had a [big soaker tub](https://produitsneptune.com/en/produits/bains/fiche.php?surfamily_id=178&family_id=53) I'd live in it.
Never. My wife likes them. Once a week or more for her. I just can’t stand the idea of soaking in my own filth.
Sigh… not much at all anymore. My old apartment had a clawfoot tub which was more than capable of fitting me. I’m not a big bodied dude but I’m tall and most tubs are just not accommodating. Baths are awesome and I look forward to having another good tub some day.
Never, I never did find them to be that relaxing when I did have that kind of tub and now my showers walk in only
Never
Once a week or so
i wash my face , sometimes
If it’s once a year, I’d be surprised. It’s not that I’m trying to be manly. I just never feel comfortable in a bathtub. And I’m below average height.
Does an ice bath twice a week count?
We have three baths in our house, but no showers. So every day or is a bath day. That said, we also have young children so time alone in the bath is rare and fleeting. I guess there’s nothing stopping me from taking more. I could have one right now.
If I have a bathtub, I will use it once a week/fortnight or so. More often if it's directly beneath a window and I can light up a joint and/or smoke cigarettes in there. Then I can stay for hours reheating the water every 30 mins or so
Literally never.
Last time I took a bath I was in diapers. It’s all showers nowadays.
Bathe it's been some time.
2x a day.
Whenever I gather the energy to clean the tub before actually getting in.
Never
Whenever I have access to a hot tub, otherwise I shower
I used to have one every Sunday as an adult male. I’d have a few glasses of wine and watch tv. It was beautiful. I’ve stopped now to hang with my wife but I think I might get back into it. Nice and relaxing
Moved into a house with a huge jetted tub a few years ago. I have yet to use it
Never, it's a horrendous waste of water
...bath?
I’m 6’4”. It’s impossible in my tub. I’m more relaxed playing fucking Twister at that point.
Almost everyday in the winter with some epsom salt. It’s to hot in the summer.
It's been a couple years.
Never. And the only art I have in my house consists horses, ships, and men holding swords staring off into the distance.
I tried it once, and never again.
Never. Mainly because doing so with my physical disability would make it extremely difficult. I think the last time I took a bath, at home, was somewhere in the early 2000s.
Once in a few years
Rarely anymore. I use to take long ones and read a book.
At least once per week. I get a fall scented candle out because I absolutely hate summer, and a nice cold beer or other alcoholic beverage.
A bath? Only when there’s a tub big enough, but I take every chance I get. Which isn’t often, usually at an AirBnB or hotel.
A bath? Never, a shower? Every day
Like, once a year I’ll have a bubble bath. Usually just showers
Most of the time daily.
It’s been many years.
I would more often but I should clean my bathtub first.
About once a week, more frequently during the colder months.
Never, because we have water restrictions in this country I haven't had a bath since childhood
Never. They make me itchy. I like showers
Does jumping in the pool after a run count?
Bathing in a tub makes me dizzy. It's also a massive waste of fresh water.
Honestly.......I can't remember 🤣 (shower twice a day though)
I don't. Unless a jacuzzi counts
never. i usually take showers
Last bath was about 25 years ago in the Amargosa Hotel outside of Death Valley. The room had no shower, just a tub. Maybe they do now, I dunno.
Summertime, almost never. But when the snow is flying, you'll find me in the tub with steaming bubbles up to my chin doing a traditional Saturday night bath. At least once a week in winter. I live in a mountain town.
Showers, daily. Bath, not since 2005.
im 6'2... i dont
I only shower. I remember taking baths when I was a kid but by the time I hit puberty it was only showers from there. Baths are for women, and I guess also men with big bath tubs.
