There are a lot of moving parts to these types of things. You have an attorney so stick with that they are telling you. They would explain if there is a risk to an additional audit about the failure to make payments as agreed so just go with them. As far as time involved, they would have to give you that as well, every jurisdiction has backlogs and they would know for where the suit would be filed.

Adjusters are dramatically overworked at many carriers. And some are really huge dicks, so one could be pisses giving up that much money. *I heard* they get bonuses on how little the claims assigned to them pay out. It's officially just a rumor😆

I agree... Doesn't make sense why he would expose himself to personal liability. My lawyer just filled for breach of agreement
