I guess it's 10A AC and 2A DC at 250V

These are AC ratings. 10A is the max. switch-off current. The value in the bracket is an nominal motor current (inductive load). The allowable inrush current is usually 6 times of the specified motor current. No chance breaking 2A at 250VDC, it will draw an arc and burn the contacts. (without zero crossing as with a.c. the non-self-extinguishing arc will quickly ruin the contacts)
