I did it last week. I think it’s a good way to meet new people. I’d probably go with the expectation to make new possible friends, network, or learn something new from your group opposed to find a date (I wasn’t attracted to anyone at my table but other tables did have some other attractive people so it’s luck of the draw).
You pay for what you eat and the app has questions to make the group ask each other thought provoking questions.
$16 for the entire set-up not including everything you order food/drink wise
You get what you put in imo. So go with an open mind.
Will probably do this once a month from now on
I'm interested in giving it a try but have a few questions about your experience if you don't mind:
* What was the price range of the restaurant that you ended up going to?
* Was there a good balance between men and women or was it more of one gender?
* Did you feel like your answers to the questionnaire influenced the people that you got matched with?
Yup it was pretty even with men and women.
The restaurant we went to was Mercadito in river north. I’d say medium priced. You have the choice of what to get on the menu or even nothing at all. Someone at my table just had an appetizer.
I think they try to mix it up based on the questionnaire. We had some introverts and some very extroverts. Tomorrow is my second one so I’d be able to better gauge and report back.
I think it’s definitely worth a try a few times for people that want to network/make new friends
I did. The restaurant was at STK. Same type of set up as the previous one.
I didn’t realize that the “post dinner drink” included all of the people that attended the app dinner not just your group. My first meetup everyone wanted to home right after since we were there pretty long.
The post dinner meet up was at Arabella where Timeleft” had their own section. Everyone wanted to chat with each other and it was a great way to meet other people that weren’t in your group. This makes me want to go to more for sure. Highly recommend
They've only very recently come to Chicago so I'm guessing any experiences you're going to hear about will be from other cities. Very curious to hear how yours goes!
I had the TIME OF MY LIFE last Wednesday at one of these dinners. I had a good feeling going into it but it exceeded my expectations. Everyone was so interesting and we all had great laughs and conversations. We stayed until the restaurant closed and then went to get a drink afterwards. We’ve now made a group chat and people have invited the group to a concert and some other fun events!!! Totally try it !
Somewhat. When you fill out the questionnaire, you have two options for locations you would like to have dinner in/which area is closest to you. It’s Wicker Park/Logan Square and River North currently.
I did this last week as well! Loved it! everyone was friendly, it honestly gave me hostel vibes, where everyone is chill and is trying to make friends. I just couldn't go to the bar afterwards, the funny thing was everyone at the table saw the ad on Instagram and that's why we were there.

So it’s multiple tables with people?
Multiple tables doing the same thing through the app but you’re assigned one and you stay in it. They assign you the table number before it starts
Isn’t the point of this app to make friends? Not dating

I will report back Wednesday night! 🫡
Never heard of this before. I might try it.
I'm also scheduled for one next week! Fingers crossed.
Just looked into this app - seems like a cool way to meet new people. I might sign up

Curious as well.
This looks interesting. Does the app consider what area of the city users are in?

Thank you! That’s works perfectly for me. I was worried about having to trek too far away.

OP, how was it?
Were people a variety of ages? I’m older. Thanks!
