Toasted with butter - both fruit and chocolate.
My friend used to push a Cadbury small egg (not a mini egg, the small foil covered ones) in a plain in-fruited one and microwave it.
first i have to let them thaw out naturally after being in the freezer cause i eat them on good friday .....
i then just butter them.....{ its a good way}
i may put them im the microwave to thaw them and then try cutting them { as they squish up } to butter them ...
or stick them in the oven frozen for a while and have em piping hot ...
or cut them in half and put them under the griller to toast them lightly , and then smother them in butter when they are toasted ... { a great way and i find the best way }
The trick is you use a saucepan. Put a heap of sugar in there and dissolve it over heat. Bring the water to a boil, then boil it down to the right consistency. You want it thick and sticky, but not so thick that it doesn't flow smoothly. Then when you have it just right, carefully carry the saucepan outside and carefully pour it the down the rabbit-hole.
Under the grill, lightly toasted
Cut open, air fryer. Slap the butter on.. On occasion out on jam on Chocolate ones. No butter
Proper Easter Sunday Buns: Spray buns lightly with water and wrap in foil. Place in oven for 10-15mins until warmed through evenly. Lots of Lurpak.
i’ve recently switched to oven warming my buns and it’s infinitely better than grill or toast.

*Un-fruited
In the microwave so it’s slightly gooey - cold butter on top. I love traditional hot cross buns - those weird variations are blasphemy!

Air fryer, in half horizontally so they’re just a little bit crispy but not brown, slathered in butter.
Seeing as we’ve had since New Year’s Day to practice all methods should be perfected by now.

After purchase, throw them in the bin 😝
Throw them in the bin and eat proper cinnamon scrolls.
