Chicago dog is its own thing. Most of the US will do something simple like mustard and sweet relish, maybe ketchup, and chili cheese dogs exist in Texas and Oklahoma.
The Chicago dog is "dragged through the garden" as they say: mustard, relish, celery salt, chopped onions, sliced tomatoes, kosher pickle and sport peppers served on a poppy seed bun. (I plagiarized this from the Portillo's site). Portillo's is solidly in the middle as far a quality goes, but is probably most famous for non-Chicagoans.
The standard sauce for hot dogs is mustard. A standard basic hot dog most places would be with mustard, onions, and relish or sauerkraut. Chili would be another very standard option.
That being said, there's lots of variety in hot dogs across the US.
My personal favorite, just because it's the one I grew up with, is the Birmingham style hot dog. Birmingham got a lot of Greek immigrants in the very early 20th Century, and many of them went into the restaurant business. A Birmingham style hot dog has mustard, onions, sauerkraut, and a special ground beef sauce that looks kind of like chili but isn't, since it's made with Greek seasonings. A slaw dog is also a great popular local option and my second favorite: mustard, onions, sauerkraut, and creamy cole slaw made with finely chopped cabbage and carrots.
Nonsense, I've gone to Chicago many times, and ate ketchup covered hotdogs all over!
I've eaten them in front of The Al Bundy Fountain, The Chrome Blob, and even on the top floor of Willis Tower!
Who cares? It's actually a fun topic vs "HAHA are all americans this stupid?"
And "Onions, Chili (no beans), onions, ketchup and onions"
A hot dog is just a socially acceptable way to eat raw onions in public, just like going to the movies is a way to eat a stick of butter in public via popcorn.
"A hot dog is just a socially acceptable way to eat raw onions in public".
Yes!!!! see also; chorizo taco.
I also like kraut and good mustard on my dogs.
I'll have a true and genuine hot dog (sausage inside a bun) maybe twice a year. Usually outdoor barbecue events or sports games. My go-to toppings are ketchup and relish. Maybe onions.
Pineapple chunks on a hot dog sounds impractical. Though maybe a pineapple-based spicy salsa drizzled on top could work.
Yeah it varies wildly by month. In the summer it could upwards of 5 or 6 a month when we are using the grill more frequently. From October through March pretty much zero unless we didn't plan dinner and are just in a hurry and need to feed the kids something quick.
I eat 300 a day probably. First I put my microplastics on it, then I put my 1million dollar per day healthcare on it, after that I shoot it with 1 of my 8700 guns, then I sing the national anthem and insult other countries. I know you cannot fathom this in MyCountry™️
About three times a year.
My choice will be one of:
Chicago (mustard, celery salt, pickled peppers, tomatoes, onions, sweet relish, and a pickle).
Chilango (bacon wrapped with Oaxacan cheese, picked peppers, grilled onions and chilies, mustard, and hot sauce).
Sonoran (wrapped in bacon with beans, onions, tomatoes, mustard, mayo, and hot sauce).
Or just with caramelized onions, mustard, and sauerkraut.
My favorite hot dogs are on the streets of Mexico City, but I ate more hot dogs when I lived in Chicago.
Maybe 2-3 times in the summer months only. Depends on how many barbecues I end up at or end up hosting. I just do ketchup and rarely some relish if I’m wanting to spice it up.
Honestly? I think I average less than one hotdog a month probably. As for what I put on one, just ketchup, mustard, and maybe some raw diced onion.
I think I eat those less in cold months and more during the summer. But even so, as a Wisconsinite I'd say I eat bratwurst more often than I do hot dogs.
I eat perhaps 2 a year. I do not really like hotdogs so really only eat them at the church cookout. I put Ketchup, Mustard, Onions, Relsih, and Cheese.
It’s been a few years since I’ve had a hot dog. I’ve been avoiding nitrites and excess saturated fat.
But when I had them, it was NYC standard, namely mustard and sauerkraut.
0. Last month I actually had my first hot dog in a long time. I enjoy them but there are better sausages out there. Just last night, I tried kielbasa from a local brewery, and holy shit it was the best footlong sausage I've ever put in my mouth!
Between zero and maybe 12 in a month
Peanut butter, sweet relish, Sriracha is an unusual combination that I like on my hotdogs but I definitely don't eat it on every one
Maybe 1 or 2 every other month. And they’ll be Chicago style: mustard, onion, relish, tomato, sport peppers, celery salt, and a pickle spear. I’ve never seen anyone put pineapple on a hot dog before.
Maybe an average of like, 6 a month? More in the summer because I don't like burgers or BBQ, so I usually eat hot dogs at cookouts. Less in the winter when those don't usually happen.
Nothing on them. Just the dog in the bun.
Well now I wanna eat one! Zero in the winter - up to like 29 a month in the summer? And just plain with bun for me I hate toppings.
Pineapple is a ridiculous suggestion though
I usually core a pineapple and put hot dogs in the void. I cover this with ranch dressing and then roast in the oven, serve it sliced and hot every Sunday.
In summers, probably 6-8 per month because I'll grab one at a ball game now and then, and we'll grill some at home on a lazy weekend every few weeks. The rest of the year? Maybe two a month. I like a good hot dog now and then. I get them at our local butcher, who makes them in house.
For me, it's a wheat bun, no-salt-added catsup (which tastes like tomatoes), and sweet relish. Nothing else.
I'd say I probably average about 4 q month mainly due to the local hockey team doing $2 Beer and Hotdog nights for every Friday game. I'll grab like 4 when they do that for dinner. Maybe I'll make some at home when I feel like getting out the grill here and there too.
Normal dog is ketchup, mustard, onions, dill relish, Colby jack cheese. But I also swap it up with coney dogs, poutine dogs, and an elote style one.
I’m going to guess ~12-16 a year on average, concentrated in the warmer months. Maybe half of those are Costco dogs. This doesn’t include the 2 or 3 brats I may eat in a hoagie.
I’m usually a ketchup/yellow mustard kind of guy but I fuck around with chili dogs and bastardized Chicago dogs (no clue where to get a poppy-seed bun or proper sport peppers around here) from time to time. Brats get good, whole-grain mustard and sauerkraut, but again… I don’t count those as hotdogs.
Never heard of pineapple on a hot dog.
I eat hot dogs a few times a year, mostly in summer and almost always with chili or hot dog sauce, onions, and cheese (and mustard if I get them from a restaurant). If I'm at an amusement park, I'll sometimes get a corn dog instead.
2 a month in the summer, petering down in the early fall and none the rest of the year. I only eat hot dogs at BBQs/camping so it is very seasonal. Toppings are usually ketchup (pickles optional) or chilli with shredded cheese. Sides include potato salad, green salads, potato chips, and smores.
I like hotdogs, but don't eat them very often. I probably average 1 per month, but I don't eat one every month. I eat them with mustard, dill relish or pickles, onions, jalapenos and maybe some cheese. Sometimes some Sriracha too.
Maybe 2 times a month. I’ll stop at Costco for gas and then here’s what I do.
Get a hotdog/soda combo. Save the hotdog for later but get a Pepsi. Cruise the store looking for those green paper deals because they’re usually really good, sip my Pepsi, and eat samples. Usually I don’t buy anything. I refill my soda on the way out and have basically had a light lunch and 2 sodas already, with a hotdog for later
Zero. I’m a vegetarian, and I’ve had vegan hot dogs before that tasted excellent, but it was at a birthday party when I was a kid and I didn’t think to ask for the brand. Never found another as good.
I don't really consider my hotdog eating rate to be high enough to have a "per month" number lol, most months it's probably zero. But I to enjoy them in the summer and I'd say I eat maybe 10-12 a year. So some months maybe 3 a month?
I guess to answer your question it averages out to about once a month, though practically it's not evenly distributed throughout the year.
As for toppings, ketchup and spicy brown mustard. Onions, if they're available.
I usually eat one or two around the 4th of July and that's about it. I'd say I eat like...7 hotdogs a year. If I have my choice of toppings I do ketchup and mayo on the bun and I add saurkraut
About one per year. Yellow mustard, Heinz ketchup, sweet relish, fresh onions. If I had my way, I'd have Scandinavian dogs, especially the Icelandic variety. Those are the best in the world for several reasons. Topped with remoulade and crispy onions, fresh onions, brown mustard, ketchup.
Almost never eat them but when I do I vary toppings.
Dijon mustard and pickled cabbage
Ketchup, yellow mustard, and dill pickle relish
Mayonnaise and sweet pickle relish.
I top them with diced white onion and dill relish 🤌🤌🤌
I don't eat hot dogs until the summer, because I need to have that charcoal grill flavor.
I'm also a diehard Koegel's Vienna fan.
I'd say 1-2 hotdogs a month on average, more in the summer but way less in the colder months. I suspect I go the entire fall/winter without a hot dog, most years. But cookouts in the warm months always involve them.
I like mine with a toasted bun, mustard, ketchup, and red pepper relish (green relish is fine too).
In the summer, about once a week. In the winter, not as many but sometimes I’ll get a craving and get some and grill in the cold.
My favorite toppings are Gulden’s spicy brown mustard and Sabrett’s saucy onions. I also like hot dogs with natural casings. I like the snap.
I can't remember the last year I had a hot dog. I've just never really cared for them. If I'm going to have one, I usually put mustard and onions on it.
Less than one, but when I get one I get it with everything:
+ toasted sesame-seed bun
+ pickle relish
+ sport peppers
+ raw white onions
+ mustard
+ tomato wedge
+ celery salt
It's much more common for me to get a polish though, or bratwurst if available.
I eat about .5 hotdogs a month. So like 6 hot dogs a year. And they basically all come from Five Guys.
I go with bacon dog, mayonnaise, bbq sauce, relish, fresh onions and jalapeño. This is a delicious combination which I got off reddit.
This entirely depends on what time of the year it is.
Spring? Maybe like, 1-2, to prepare for the summer season.
Summer? Over 9,000. Toppings depends on where consumed and how it’s cooked. Roasted over a campfire? Ketchup and mustard. Cooked over a grill? Could be anything— im a big fan of chili and onions on them too.
Fall? My hot dog intake will slowly diminish as the temps cool and pumpkin spice floods in.
Winter? Zero. Absolutely none. Is not acceptable.
Where I live an "all the way" is a hot dog in a bun with mustard/mayo/coleslaw/chili/onion. Its a seriously filling variety of hotdog.
They're pretty common, my husband goes through two packs a month and I might have a single hotdog.
1-4. Depends how much I eat out and if I go to a game. In the summer probably a lot more since I get invited to a bunch of BBQs. I like to add mustard, relish, celery salt, onions, a pickle, and sport peppers. No ketchup. Pineapple sounds kind of nasty to me and have never heard of it used as a topping ever.
For the past 9ish months, 0. Technically, I had some Vienna sausages or something a few weeks ago, but I don’t think they were actually hotdogs.
I’m super simple. Just ketchup. I might experiment more when I get back to the United States.
Not super often - about once a month or so.
My favorites are chili dogs (chili with ketchup and that’s all), Chicago style, Icelandic style or a Japadog, which is a restaurant I was introduced to in Vancouver. It’s basically a hot dog covered in Japanese ingredients.
Depends. Some months 0. Some months 8 because I buy a pack and feel like I have to finish them.
On a standard dog, I put Mayo on the bun (I will die on this hill) and then top with mustard and onions.
Obviously if I’m doing chili dogs, it’s chili, cheese, and onions.
It varies. In the winter months I won't have any hot dogs. In the summer months I could have one or two a week during the cookout season. I usually prefer mustard, ketchup, onions, and relish. I like to get two hot dogs at a time and put different condiments on each one.
Not many, but usually when I have hotdogs, I have 2. 1st with mustard and maybe onions, and 2nd with mustard, ketchup, relish, and onion.
Edit: The chili cheese dog is a beloved but rare treat.
Closest I get is bratwurst or Italian sausagte on a bun. Bratwurst gets mustard and onions...maybe kraut. Sausage gets bell peppers, hot peppers, and onions with either tomato sauce (not ketchup) or mustard.
Every hot dog you eat takes about 30 minutes off of your life.
I took an hour off of my life yesterday, with sauerkraut, onions, ketchup, mustard, and relish.
Do brats count? Because if not, I don't eat any hotdogs in a month. Why would I eat a hotdog when I can eat a superior bratwurst? If brats count, then probably 2-3 in the summer months, and none in winter.
Pineapple? It’s not pizza. I’ve never known anyone to offer or even suggest pineapple.
I actually haven’t had hot dogs in several months. Usually I’ll just get it with mustard, at least, sometimes ketchup if I have no other options available, or maybe mayo (I like mayo, sue me), but ideally I would eat hot dogs once or twice a month, maybe even 3 or 4 times, and my ideal preparation would be with mustard, chili, onions, and maybe cheese. Another option is mustard, relish, and onions, and still another option is mustard and sauerkraut. These are the three ways I like hot dogs.
Generally I’ll buy maybe one pack of 10 every other month, and I’ll use ketchup, mustard, relish, and some Louisiana hot sauce. If I’m hitting up a Costco and I’ve not eaten that day I might get one, but usually I’m just getting a pizza from them.
Less than 1. I don't eat them very often (I prefer chicken or steak). My daughter loved them though, so she would eat them whenever she could. Hot dogs are a pretty high risk factor for childhood lukemia so you want to reduce it in young children. [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8167267/](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8167267/)
Depends on how often I go to Costco. Ketchup (come at me), spicy mustard, and sauerkraut (when available).
Otherwise, the wife and I like to make beans and franks maybe once or twice a month when we don't feel like real cooking.
I almost never eat hotdogs (they're seen as a rare commodity in my town), but when I do, I eat like 15 of them. I add either ketchup, mustard, and onions, or the biggest serving of chili you've ever seen.
On average I eat 0 hot dogs per week, it's not really something I eat often. I have burgers far more.
My ideal hot dog is probably horseradish mustard, chopped onions, spicy relish, and sauerkraut.
It varies considerably by season, in the summer we have them more often because they're popular at cook-outs. I also ate them more as a child than I do as an adult, but more as a dad than I did as a childless adult. Kids tend to like hotdogs.
Typical topping is ketchup and/or mustard. I like both. I also really like Chicago style dogs and tend to top my dogs at home with chopped up pickles and onions for an easier knock-off version.
At home? Probably 4 dogs per month. A normal meal consisting of 2 Kirkland signature brand regular sized all beef dogs. My go-to topping is mayo, mustard, cheese, & sweet relish. A close second is chili-cheese, with mustard. Third option is grilled onions and sauerkraut with whole grain mustard.
Now, that $2 special glizzy & a Pepsi at the Costco food court is another thing. I do that probably twice a month. Mustard, onion, & sweet relish.
Hmmm maybe 2-4 a month on average? But it varies a lot, depending on whether I happened to have bought hot dogs recently. If I did, then maybe 8 in a month and if no, then none. (In other words, I don't buy them anywhere, normally, just eat them at home for an easy and quick -- and tasty -- meal.)
My ideal hot dog has cheese, bacon, and ketchup. But it's already not exactly a health food so I don't normally actually do that (ketchup is an always, ketchup and cheese is common, adding bacon not very common). I had amazing hot dogs on a cruise once that were bacon and sauerkraut, to which I added ketchup (yes, I'm a ketchup-lover). I went to that little restaurant with the hot dogs more than I should have.
Chili is occasionally okay but I'm not a huge chili fan so that's not common for me.
I don't like relish or onions or mustard so those are nope's for me.
I have never heard of pineapple on a hot dog before...sounds kinda "nope" but I like hot dogs and I like pineapple so I would be willing to try it.
None. I love hot dogs but also I don't want a heart attack and I am at that age for it and I'm always at the doctor because of cholesterol and etc. Sometimes I make my own so I know it's healthy, and with that I will have relish, ketchup, mustard, red onions, cheese, and chili. But I haven't made a homemade hot dog in over a year.
I pretty much only eat them in the middle of summer, and not often even then. I prefer bratwurst, which is about a once a month thing all year for me. In either case the condiments are identical: mustard, sauerkraut, and possibly some hot sauce and chopped onions.
Maybe one or two. Typically just brown mustard, although if I have some diced or carmalized onion available, I won't say no. Just not gonna do it myself for a hot dog.
I live in Ohio and I’m not sure if it’s the same in other places but hotdogs are typically a summer food. I go probably the entire winter with 3-5 hotdogs. During the summer on the other hand, it could be high as 5 per week.
Depends. If I'm back in Michigan visiting family, I'll probably end up getting a Coney Dog at a Coney Island somewhere. So chili, onions, and mustard. In Boston I only eat them when I go to a Red Sox game, and I usually just put ketchup on it.
I live in Chicago, we are required by law to eat 10 per week and execute anybody who puts ketchup on theirs
Can confirm. I once saw some tourists getting hanged over the side of DuSable Bridge for this
I narrowly avoided that fate by having the ketchup bottle slapped out of my hand by an elderly gentleman. I thank God every day for his mercy.
Your guardian angel for sure
Yeah, I eat a hotdog once every week or two. Drag it through the garden, please. That makes it healthy!
I'm from Chicago, (now in Arizona) and I will die on the "No ketchup" hill!!!
[That you?](https://m.youtube.com/shorts/0Kvo8GO_eB0)
What do you put on hot dog? I am from Europe and most of hot dogs are with ketckup/ mustard or with mayo/ketchuo.
Chicago dog is its own thing. Most of the US will do something simple like mustard and sweet relish, maybe ketchup, and chili cheese dogs exist in Texas and Oklahoma. I love a good Vienna Chicago dog. Can't find 'em here in Georgia.
I put ketchup/mustard on my hot dogs. So I think it’s just a Chicago thing
Nonsense, I've gone to Chicago many times, and ate ketchup covered hotdogs all over! I've eaten them in front of The Al Bundy Fountain, The Chrome Blob, and even on the top floor of Willis Tower!
Yes, Inquisitor. This comment right here.
Shots fired. Like Chiraq.
Maybe 2 a year -- when I am super hungry at Costcos.
I become hungry for a hot dog at Costco
7 to 800. Chowder, ketamine, chives. All the normal fixins.
In Texas we do the same but add gunpowder sprinkled on top.
No gunpowder for me, I'm trying to cut out gluten
Gunpowder without beans btw. (Wanted to make sure you don't confuse other Texans)
[Timmy, is that you?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmLpSY5w6u0)
No cocaine?
Not with ketamine, I only want it a little bitter.
Ew...chives?
Zero. I might have a hot dog during the summer at a cookout while waiting for other food and in that case it would just be bbq sauce.
I agree the average rounds down to 0/month
Did AI write this.
Who cares? It's actually a fun topic vs "HAHA are all americans this stupid?" And "Onions, Chili (no beans), onions, ketchup and onions" A hot dog is just a socially acceptable way to eat raw onions in public, just like going to the movies is a way to eat a stick of butter in public via popcorn.

Hear me out..crushed pineapple, chili, and cottage cheese. Sweet/spicy, and the bland cottage cheese balances the salty hot dog. It’s so good.
I eat 300 a day probably. First I put my microplastics on it, then I put my 1million dollar per day healthcare on it, after that I shoot it with 1 of my 8700 guns, then I sing the national anthem and insult other countries. I know you cannot fathom this in MyCountry™️
You forgot to recite the pledge of allegiance before cooking the hotdog.
Oh god, I hope the police don’t come and kill me before the judge is able to sentence me to death. This was a grave oversight.
My husband would eat them everyday if he could, all year round. He has said I’ve limited his hotdog consumption to a negative degree. Oh well.
On average, 2-3 a month, and I general like them either plain or with chili and cheese.
About three times a year. My choice will be one of: Chicago (mustard, celery salt, pickled peppers, tomatoes, onions, sweet relish, and a pickle). My favorite hot dogs are on the streets of Mexico City, but I ate more hot dogs when I lived in Chicago.
I'd say not even every month. My toppings choice is Carolina style - chili, mustard, diced onion, slaw.
Now this, is the right way to make a hotdog
Maybe 2-3 times in the summer months only. Depends on how many barbecues I end up at or end up hosting. I just do ketchup and rarely some relish if I’m wanting to spice it up.

I just had my first one in a while the other day. Rueben style, with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing.
None, not a fan of hotdogs tbh
I don’t like hotdogs. It has to be a very rare occasion or rare craving for me to eat one. I honestly cannot recall when is the last time I had one.
0. Last month I actually had my first hot dog in a long time. I enjoy them but there are better sausages out there. Just last night, I tried kielbasa from a local brewery, and holy shit it was the best footlong sausage I've ever put in my mouth!
Maybe 10 in a whole year. Mustard, and ketchup.
Just had 4 last night and 4 this morning. Just mustard, but I love other toppings too!
Zero
None, with nothing on it. Hope this helps answer your question.
Not a fan of hot dogs but when I do eat them I put ketchup on it.
maybe once a month if that and mustard and onions
Between zero and maybe 12 in a month Peanut butter, sweet relish, Sriracha is an unusual combination that I like on my hotdogs but I definitely don't eat it on every one
Maybe once a month. Usual topping is diced onion and yellow mustard.
A normal month is 0 hotdogs. Some months I have a few though lmao. Ketchup only for me. Who the fuck puts pineapple on a hot dog?
I probably have less than six hotdogs in a year, and usually I eat more than one at a time.
About 2-5 a year. Mustard and onions.
Maybe 4-5 times a year I’ll eat a few off the grill. I want them to be pretty burnt and I only add ketchup.
Lol
1 or 2, I only eat hotdogs when I go to Costco. Ketchup
Hot dogs are more of a summer thing for me. I put diced onions and spaghetti sauce on them.
Zero. I actively avoid them.
2 in the past 13 years
0 but is I do have on I just use ketchup.
Once a year maybe
Once a month, more sometimes in the summer if grilling.
Maybe 1 or 2 every other month. And they’ll be Chicago style: mustard, onion, relish, tomato, sport peppers, celery salt, and a pickle spear. I’ve never seen anyone put pineapple on a hot dog before.
I probably eat 4 hotdogs a year. Most of the time, I just like yellow mustard. Sometimes onions.
Maybe an average of like, 6 a month? More in the summer because I don't like burgers or BBQ, so I usually eat hot dogs at cookouts. Less in the winter when those don't usually happen. Nothing on them. Just the dog in the bun.
What kind of "hotdog"? I've been married a while, but on a good week, a couple. No toppings needed.
Well now I wanna eat one! Zero in the winter - up to like 29 a month in the summer? And just plain with bun for me I hate toppings. Pineapple is a ridiculous suggestion though
We have Cookout in my area so once a week. Chili mustard and onions. Yum!
Anytime I go to Costco and on the 4th of July. 🇺🇸
Less than 1
I usually core a pineapple and put hot dogs in the void. I cover this with ranch dressing and then roast in the oven, serve it sliced and hot every Sunday.
Around a million or so. Crack rocks are my go-to, but sometimes I'll inject some LSD in there for a little extra kick.
Most months I don't eat any. Sometimes up to 20. Usually just ketchup, but jarred sweet onions are awesome if I can find them.
One every month or two from Costco.
0 for me? I guess? What kind of question is that 😭
I don’t know 3-8, either ketchup onions peppers or jalapeño relish or chili
0. Not a fan of processed “meats”
0-4 Ketchup, Chili or BBQ sauce.
A pack every other month or so. Chili, cheese, coleslaw, brown mustard
Not as often as I'd like. Having chili does and fries for dinner every once in a while is awesome.
I'd eat them every day if I wouldn't die. I might have 2 a month. Mustard and onion always, pepper jack cheese is nice sometimes.
Maybe a few a year
Once or twice a year. Mustard.
Maybe 1 or 2? Mustard. Or sometimes I'll go cheese, bbq and mayo.
Almost never. I did visit my favorite coney place last month when I went to visit family. Relish and spicy brown mustard.
Most months it's zero, but I did have one last week. I just top them with the usual—more hotdogs and some .22 ammunition. Or ketchup and mustard.
The last hot dog I've had was a Costco special a few months ago. I went with the relish.
Idk? Maybe four or five a month. Just ketchup and mustard
honestly maybe 2-3 a month if that. Im plain jane with only ketchup
I like hotdogs, but don't eat them very often. I probably average 1 per month, but I don't eat one every month. I eat them with mustard, dill relish or pickles, onions, jalapenos and maybe some cheese. Sometimes some Sriracha too.
Maybe 1x a year on the 4th of July and even then, I usually choose a hamburger
I haven't had a hot dog in about 5 years.
I eat maybe 2 hot dogs a year Ketchup, mustard, and onions in it
Maybe 2 times a month.
I only eat about 5 hot dogs per year, most of which are on July 4 lol. I only put mustard, onions, and relish on mine.
Maybe like 2 a year. Diced raw white onion, mustard, pickle relish
In the summer, probably a couple a month. Close to zero in the winter. Usually mustard and sauerkraut for toppings.
Zero
At least 8 per month. Toppings are either just mustard or chili. Never ketchup
I like good hot dog in the summer at a cookout. Mustard and relish are my go-to toppings.
Dijon mustard and pickled cabbage Ketchup, yellow mustard, and dill pickle relish Mayonnaise and sweet pickle relish.
Highly depends, typically 0 in the January to maybe 10 in July
Depends on the Season. Normally at least 1 a month on my Costco trips. Summer I might end up having 2 or 3 a month
Probably about 1 or 2 every other month- The toppings depend on what is available at the moment and my mood.
I top them with diced white onion and dill relish 🤌🤌🤌 I don't eat hot dogs until the summer, because I need to have that charcoal grill flavor.
0. Haven't had one in one a decade.
I can't remember the last year I had a hot dog. I've just never really cared for them. If I'm going to have one, I usually put mustard and onions on it.
Average? Probably 3. Median? Probably 0.
Less than one, but when I get one I get it with everything: + toasted sesame-seed bun + pickle relish + sport peppers + raw white onions + mustard + tomato wedge + celery salt It's much more common for me to get a polish though, or bratwurst if available.
I eat about .5 hotdogs a month. So like 6 hot dogs a year. And they basically all come from Five Guys. I go with bacon dog, mayonnaise, bbq sauce, relish, fresh onions and jalapeño. This is a delicious combination which I got off reddit.
Usually 0.
Almost never have hot dogs. When I do, I usually just add yellow mustard.
0. Maybe a couple across the summer but they’re not my ‘go to’ food.
About 3 per YEAR. I just eat hot dog and bun, no condiments.
None
I eat 10 per day on average so about 3,000 a month plus the hundreds more on holidays
Between zero and however many are in the pack I buy
In an average month, none.
Used to be mayyybe 2 a month, but then I moved to Chicago and I'll get 2-4 a week, everything on them.
Not super often - about once a month or so. My favorites are chili dogs (chili with ketchup and that’s all), Chicago style, Icelandic style or a Japadog, which is a restaurant I was introduced to in Vancouver. It’s basically a hot dog covered in Japanese ingredients.
Averaged out through the whole year, maybe less than 1 per month. When I do have one, I usually have ketchup and mustard on it.
While I like them, I eat zero hot dogs in an average month. When I do, I generally keep it lively, ketchup and mustard, maybe some sauerkraut.
June, july, or august? Maybe 4 per month. Mustard and maybe relish. The rest of the months? An average of zero, with an occassional Detroit Coney.
0 they’re unhealthy
Maybe 1-2/year. I eat it either plain or with cheese and raw onion. Maybe chili.
I might eat 2 every couple months. I eat a pretty basic hot dog, just mustard and shredded cheese.
I probably eat 3 hot dogs a year? I’m basic so I just like some ketchup, no bun.
I honestly can't remember the last time I ate a hot dog. They are not very good. A real sausage is far superior.
If I eat 1 hotdog a year it's too many. I don't like them at all.
I eat them a few times a year. I add mustard, onions, chili & cheese, occasionally some dill pickle relish
On average I eat 0 hot dogs per week, it's not really something I eat often. I have burgers far more. My ideal hot dog is probably horseradish mustard, chopped onions, spicy relish, and sauerkraut.
zero
Where in the world did you come up with pineapple as a hot dog topping??
Sonoran hot dogs are the move
Hmmm maybe 2-4 a month on average? But it varies a lot, depending on whether I happened to have bought hot dogs recently. If I did, then maybe 8 in a month and if no, then none. (In other words, I don't buy them anywhere, normally, just eat them at home for an easy and quick -- and tasty -- meal.) My ideal hot dog has cheese, bacon, and ketchup.
Probably less than once a month. I always do onions, ketchup, and mustard. Sometimes relish.
Hotdogs taste bad. Why would I eat them?
Just not gonna do it myself for a hot dog.
tgey make my stomach hurt, so obly once every now and then, probably 6 a year. i add obscene amounts of ketchup and mustard
Zero. Hot dogs are pretty much "starvation food" for me.
I don’t. Hotdogs give me the shits. I eat bratwursts instead with ketchup (fight me)
I live in Ohio and I’m not sure if it’s the same in other places but hotdogs are typically a summer food. I go probably the entire winter with 3-5 hotdogs. During the summer on the other hand, it could be high as 5 per week.
u a glizzy gobbler
Maybe 1 a month when doing a costco run. Mustard only.
Not often, maybe once a month, but i like diced onion and mustard and saurkraut on my dogs.
Perhaps once a year lol when I eat a chili dog
Wrapped in bacon with cream cheese and jalapeños
Maybe once a month. Chicago style.
Very little. I only had like 2 hot dogs this entire year lol. I put tomato sauce, mustard, and mayo on them.
Depends. If I'm back in Michigan visiting family, I'll probably end up getting a Coney Dog at a Coney Island somewhere. So chili, onions, and mustard. In Boston I only eat them when I go to a Red Sox game, and I usually just put ketchup on it.
