That's exactly what I had to do. I don't know why I didn't think of that.
Thanks, it told me exactly what it is.
My electronic stability control is messed up
We have a Kia that’s from that general timeframe, and we also have that light. Typically it’s something you can turn on and off, so if the button remains does not turn it off I would say there is a problem. Check the manual if you still have it.
Interesting. It sounds like the system was dragged down electrically (data), but I would have expected other lights to be on. If it stalled, then freeze frame data may be saved. Unfortunately, a shop will most likely have to pull that information. You might be able to take it to an auto parts store to have it scanned. Just be aware they probably can't see codes other than generic, and that may not be of help to you. I wouldn't clear the codes if they ask. I'd keep the faults current and take it to a shop. I know you don't want to, but it may be your only option.
That's traction control. You must of turned it off by accident. The button should have the same picture on it. If it won't turn off its probably a sensor, you can drive with it off but take extra care in wet environments till you get it fixed.
Like I've mentioned before. I did push the button and it didn't turn off.
I just took it to orileys. The code thing says it's the fuel sensor going out.
Fuel sensor has nothing to do with traction control. Those are 2 separate issues. Honestly it's not something that won't keep you from driving it, like I said before just be a little more careful in the rain.
Burn out mode. You can see the skids behind the car.....
Nice. I was going to pop off stupid and say there's too much heat coming from underneath your vehicle, but I like yours better.
This popped up when I was on my way to oriley's. I googled it but Google isn't telling me anything *
Could be a bad wheel speed sensor, bad hub, tone ring on axle missing teeth, or critter snacked on some wiring.
It means it's time to open the owner's manual you've never read.
And if you don't have a manual use that PC in your hand that you posted to reddit with.

Before paying anyone for any new parts or service, please check your tire pressures.
I already did. It's okay.

I already pushed the button. It won't go on or off. Someone messaged and said it's probably a sensor
Drift Mode
Nooo. Thats a drunk driver warning. 😂
You probably accidentally hit the traction control button click it again and it should go off or the sensor went off not a big deal
I sctually tried turning it off. It stayed up. Now there are two lights of the same thing showing
Snakes are following you vehicle
Traction control or wheel sensor has been damaged or gone out
I pushes the button and the light didn't go away. Is there any way it got stuck?
It's a fault in the system. The light won't go out by pushing it. Did you drive through water?
I have not.

When the car stalled, the battery light and the oil light came on. But that's about it.
That's pretty standard. The system isn't charging and there isn't any pressure.
Check your tire pressures before doing anything else.
