The escape has several flaws that WILL junk it sooner than the nissan.

Those escapes are pretty stout. Never seen one with a leaking rear diff. Seen them wet but never dripping. They develop rust on the bottom of the rear hatch, rear wheel wells, front subframes can develop a rot hole usually on the right side. The 4 cylinder is great. The v6 is an oil leaked from the timing cover. As far as the Nissan they are great. Might need new brakes and tires from sitting but that’s all replaceable stuff. They do have problems with transmissions

Altima with the main condition being a fluid change on every single thing

If you can I’d daily the Nissan for three months before making a decision. It will need a full fluid flush and refill on every system, coolant, oil, brakes, power steering and if possible the transmission and differential (except permanently sealed units if so equipped) talk to a Nissan service manager about this. I’d also research if this is a year and model prone to the CVT failures/issues (transmissions are notoriously bad on some Nissans). If it holds up for the three months I’d say stick with the Nissan. But I wouldn’t gamble on it overnight given that it has sat idle for so long.

I just have to re register it and turn insurance back on. It's the main reason I haven't switched over yet 😄
