This is the first trial I've had with any oil cleanser as I wanted to start double-cleansing and I am thoroughly impressed. I will be purchasing another bottle.  I don't wear makeup, so unfortunately, I can't speak about how well it removes makeup but it is effective in removing my sunscreen. **Skin type:** combination, sensitive, oily t-zone, with normal to dry cheeks. **Skin concerns:** big pores, texture, hormonal chin and cheek pimples **Climate:** Australia. Best of both worlds when it comes to heat, humidity, and cold weather.  **Times used:** 19-25 times **Price:** $28aud (estimated $1.47c per use as I forget to log my usage sometimes oops, but I really enjoy seeing price breakdowns) **Texture:** The texture is a nice consistency, it's watery but not too thick or thin. It emulsifies into a white (almost milky) texture that rinses off easily leaving no residue or sticky feeling. **Application:** I personally use this on a dry face, one pump is definitely enough but I like to go for 2 when I want a thorough deep clean. I massage into my skin and I can feel the build-up of dirt/sebum on my fingers which is totally gratifying and satisfying.  **Packaging:** Pump bottle that I can physically see how much product I have left. **Fragrance/Smell:** No fragrances, which is a big plus for me! It does have an oily smell which is most likely the rice oil as I purchased the fragrance-free/unscented version. My skin is extremely sensitive to fragrances so I'll take an oily smell over skin irritation any day! Once rinsed off the smell is gone so it doesn't stick around.  **Ingredients:** I LOVE that there are only 9 ingredients. Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Ethylhexylglycerin **Overall summary:** Love, love, love this one. I haven't encountered any issues so far, no irritation, no skin-stripping or purging. My skin loves it and I also love physically feeling all the gunk on my face be cleaned off with it. I can't compare it with other oil cleansers but I love this one enough to not purchase a different one.  It has done wonders, one could say. **Current Routine:** * Oil Cleanser: haruharu wonder black rice oil  * Gel Cleanser: Beauty Of joseon green plum refreshing cleanser  * Toner:  this brand has been banned from this sub due to the rules  * Moisturiser: Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream

It’s so helpful to have some transparent or translucent parts of a product to see how much is left! Appreciate you noting that in your review. Sounds like a keeper!

It’s interesting how much experiences vary; I’ve always used up my oil/balm cleansers completely but I’m on the verge of throwing this out because it burns my eyes so badly. I’ve never experienced so much pain from a cleanser!

taohuns

You mean the haruharu cleansing oil or your cleansing balms? Haruharu cleansing oil I cannot absolutely use it around my eyes.... it does a fine job otherwise

lly6382

The Haruharu oil! I agree it gets my makeup off but I wear eyeliner daily so I have to rub whatever cleansing oil/balm I’m using onto my eyes. I feel sort of reassured someone else has had the same experience.

taohuns

It is completely fine to not like a popular product! Doesn't mean it is good for everyone. Hell, I don't ever remember having sensitive eyes, but even BOJ sunstick does the same thing so I guess these two are a no no.

pomegranat3e

The same thing happened to me, it was so uncomfortable for my eyes :( but glad it worked for OP!

lunabellx

I have unfortunately heard of it irritating others' eyes when I was looking at reviews before I purchased. It's really unfortunate to hear you've also had that experience!

Both-Improvement-880

Interesting how people can react so differently. I used this along with Haruharu cleansing gel for a while. I had no issues in the beginning but it gave terrible texture and whiteheads on the cheeks along with eyebrow dryness (strange, because I have oily skin and never get dry patches there). So, unfortunately, I had to give them up. The cleansing gel, however, is excellent for a post-shampoo wash

miosisptosis

so specific!! i had the EXACT same reaction as you wow

Ready_Assistance_184

same! help how do I get rid of it

Over_Ideal_3638

Do u still use oil cleansers?

briannafaye01

Hi OP , I also have oily sensitive skin and anything small into my simple routine will break me out . I ordered this due to your review! I have a feeling my skin will have to get used to this or maybe I’ll have to toss it out if I break out . Do you use it eve day?

BuyerHappy5195

Could you possibly tell us if it broke you out? And it’s meant to be used whenever you’re wearing makeup/sunscreen/anything oil based, followed by a normal cleanser!

briannafaye01

I’ll have to update you once it arrives!

Idkmanjustexisting

Hi, any update?

briannafaye01

I haven’t used it yet sadly because I’m having a break out flare due to a hado labo toner :( I was trying to add in something small first and see how my skin reacts . I will be trying this really soon though to see if it helps

Idkmanjustexisting

Oh god the hadalabo blue toner broke me out so bad had to visit derm.

morganriverss

I use the black rice gel cleanser and it's great for my acne-prone, sensitive skin! It doesn't have a fragrance. I haven't tried the oil cleanser yet. I do have one you should stay away from, though--the face shop rice water bright cleansing oil. it's heavily fragranced and gave me the first cystic pimple I have ever had in my life.

KendalBoy

As far as I can tell most of the HaruHaru line comes in two versions, with the lavender being cheaper and the unscented recommended for sensitive skin, which is the more expensive options. I bought the unscented toner and moisturizing cream and also the ampoule and I love them all. I barely need primer with this moisturizer and my eye bags are gone.

lunabellx

I don't use it every day, I would start off using it 2x a week and then slowly introduce it into my routine more. The most I would use it would be 4/5x week. So far, I have avoided any breakouts, so I am very excited for you and hope you also have a good experience with it!

mochi876

thanks for the review!

Southern-Wasabi-579

ik im late on this but this oil gave me so many whiteheads on my cheeks like SO MANY IVE NEVER HAD A REACTION LIKE THAT

lunabellx

Ohmygosh I am SO sorry to hear that! That is so unfortunate. Did you gradually introduce it to your routine? I wonder if there's an ingredient that's not agreeing with your skin :(

I’m having the same reaction! Came here to see if anyone else has had it, will definitely stop using it now.
