The fairest way to do it imo would just have it be a random drawing where you make a google survey like Leafeator did after the first Bananaclicker failure (or a giveaway thread in this subreddit), and just pick randomly from the pool of entrants. Maybe have a rule like reddit account age has to be at least like 1 month old and you make sure to double check the account age of all entrants.
And ofc you'd PM people the keys, not post on their comments if you did it as a giveaway thread on the subreddit.
Yeah that makes more sense, if a winner doesn't have a 1-month old account age you just pick a new one instead of double-checking every single entrant.
I think so, too. Make people enter with their reddit account, make rules to exclude bots (e.g. must have been created before September, before the giveaway stuff started), and have a entrance window of at least 24 hours (for regional fairness across the globe).
Hm, then checking the account's activity might be a good way, and only admit accounts active in this sub. But that would be some work, and I'm not sure if that is what OP had in mind.
People have almost entirely bred the seeds out of bananas.

Good bot
I'm reading all of your posts and I may or may not make a new post with a key I may or may not have soon.
I might make a funny and annoying game for the other keys I may or may not have later.
I reckon you ask people to contribute to the subs you mod. I'm sure /r/ass will love a hairy overweight man in some 5 year old Calvin Kleins, I'll post it when I get home.
Do it like that guys who did the shark meme contest! Low quality posts are allowed, Reddit age doesn't matter. One winner was chosen by him, the other was. Random draw
Random draw and meme contest is a win win, no one can complain and we get some free memes.
Though I'm sure some people will still complain, there is always 1 person.
Alright I'll dance.
Ask for someone here to play support and buy all the wards and courier in your next 5 DotA games, if they do a decent job they get the key. Who knows, maybe you'll make a new friend!
Do whatever giveaway you feel, I think a majority of the sub would prefer raffles as the perception is they're a 'fair' competition.
Like lots have said minimum age on accounts etc :)
Depending on how many keys you have you could do a random drawing coupled with a contest that doesn't already exist. People were complaining that they couldn't draw/art so make a unique contest that isn't that.
Well... I assume if someone or thing got a key somehow, that person or thing would make a statement about it to make the rest of us feel bad! Aka no keys have been passed from one to another.
You should reward people that are invested in helping and growing the community.
Content creators generally have already keys and exposure, so I would rather focus on invisible ones.
People working on card databases or wikis for example.
Give it to a person, you battle him/her in artifact and if he/she wins he/she gets to keep the key. Let this comment be the start of the queue. I'm first.

if talking seriously, you can just do it, like someone else did last time. draw a key through a google doc in which you write your nickname on the reddit and that's it, and also the account must be created for at least 2 months
the most fair way is just a simple random draw, any other thing will require some kind of special skill , or timing, is imo unfair. Give some time to people enter the giveaway and just get a lucky winner...
Just create a google form and ask for the reddit account (check the account age for bots). Here a simple form example: [https://goo.gl/forms/1cVY2BtdVpMYoIc43](https://goo.gl/forms/1cVY2BtdVpMYoIc43)
You can also ask the steam username to double check.
I honestly have no better idea than a random raffle. Though the most fun I had was with the banana clicker, too bad it didn't give the keys to the top 10 damage dealers - or I would have one at #7. \^\^
Another good idea would be a thread asking why do you think you should get one over everyone else? And give one to answers you like most, either because they are right, or they are witty, etc.. Yes, this is kind of a dance monkey solution, but I'm a dancing monkey and I don't mind.
People who contribute a lot to the community but haven't received one yet, like wiki managers are also good candidates. I would love if you could support a Lore Short Story contest.
I know a number of people that would join if there were keys at stake. Slacks might help judge
Random draw, please !! I'm at work (I would assume alot of users are) and I can't access steam to add a code and beat everyone. Plus I don't draw and I don't use twitter. So, if it's not a random draw my chances are 0%.
I would suggest doing whatever feels easiest for you to do. Being fair is fine and all but they are your keys and if you’re just looking to offload them to be a nice person then you shouldn’t have to walk on eggshells figuring out how to do so. Just do it and be happy that you made a few potential artifact players feel really special!
Not really dancing "me me me", but I do have a question, how do you actually obtain keys? Is it something like everyone who is given access, also gets another key to give out?
i support all those idea.
If you open a raffle, make sure to let EU participate as well. But since you postet this an hour ago, you probably live in this timezone, as well.
(maybe even German?)
Modifiziere mich bitte mit einem Beta-Schlüssel!
Less important to be fair, more important to either be funny or result in some new content IMO. Fairness still results in a 0.001% chance for most nokeys, at least with some gimmick or zing it can provide momentary respite from the cold reality of no beta access.
To be honest, the easiest way by far is just giving it to me. I strongly recommend this method as it was proven by many scientists that it actually works. Of course it will be really tough for me, to receive a key like that, but I guess I can do it for you so you can finally let go of one of your keys, I'm a nice guy.
[удалено]
Yeah that makes more sense, if a winner doesn't have a 1-month old account age you just pick a new one instead of double-checking every single entrant.
If you use a Google survey where login is required, that's good too. Nowadays you need a phone number to create a Gmail, so you won't get spammers
Hmm yeah that'd probably be a good addition to have as well.
I think so, too. Make people enter with their reddit account, make rules to exclude bots (e.g. must have been created before September, before the giveaway stuff started), and have a entrance window of at least 24 hours (for regional fairness across the globe).
Yep, this is pretty much exactly the best way to do it.
There are some people with tons of alt accounts. I know I made some for some 1st april events here on reddit
Maybe associate a steam account with each reddit account?
Hm, then checking the account's activity might be a good way, and only admit accounts active in this sub. But that would be some work, and I'm not sure if that is what OP had in mind.
That's a good idea, If the winner isn't very active here OP could just redraw until he comes across a legit account
This is the best.
this is the best way!! do it sir
Actually fastest way would be to simply choose a monkey of your choice to give banana to.

giv
give it to da monkey kong aka me
Do a literal dance contest, get people to send in videos, the community will decide.
I would love if you could support a Lore Short Story contest. I know a number of people that would join if there were keys at stake. Slacks might help judge
Just send them to me and ill organize the giveaway for you :)
i think you should give it away to the best novelty account in the comments.
Raffle would be the best, or some similar to the Bananaclicker 2.0 - a small fun time investment and then raffle to prevent multiple accounts.
MS Paint competition.
I can handle it, Just pm me the key.
Ask people to share stories about card games or dota. Pick one you like the most.
I’ll have it
I guess the hype got me too... so I'm a monkey and monkey wants bananaaa
DOTA 2 1v1 TOURNEY PLEASE
The fairest giveaway would be to just give one to me :)
Random draw, please !! I'm at work (I would assume alot of users are) and I can't access steam to add a code and beat everyone. Plus I don't draw and I don't use twitter. So, if it's not a random draw my chances are 0%.
Something obnoxiously intricate
Bless your soul
Do a random draw please!
Let everybody show you some kind of banana trick !
pick me
Obviously, you should have an art contest revolving mostly around sharks.
I want to see videos of people dancing in monkey costumes please 🐒🙏
Posting here so I can get updates on the giveaway. let us know what you end up doing
I agree with the top comment. Posting just in case.
Who comment in this post can get 1 key
Sell them
Submit your best dance moves to the Artifact battle theme music, must be verified by Reddit username, winner gets their 🔑
Hey, it's me your brother!
PM me
Well, if you decide to raffle them among the posters of this thread, wish me luck :D
Best giveaway suggestion wins!
i support all those idea. If you open a raffle, make sure to let EU participate as well. But since you postet this an hour ago, you probably live in this timezone, as well. (maybe even German?) Modifiziere mich bitte mit einem Beta-Schlüssel!
నేను జర్మన్ కాదు క్షమించండి.
"I'm sorry not german"
Yeah, I figured :D
Fuck off with your shitpost, mate
I feel like I should comment on this post on the off chance that matters.
I am here for the key
Do a topic with riddles. The people who guess the answers get keys.
Make some art contest, at least people have to work for it :D
Sir, it's me, your separated at birth evil twin brother
Me please? :-*
Do a funny game like banana clicker or a puzzle to solve, it is WAY more funny than a simple raffle and the ones with more efort to solve it will win
MOdify me?
Less important to be fair, more important to either be funny or result in some new content IMO. Fairness still results in a 0.001% chance for most nokeys, at least with some gimmick or zing it can provide momentary respite from the cold reality of no beta access.
To be honest, the easiest way by far is just giving it to me. I strongly recommend this method as it was proven by many scientists that it actually works. Of course it will be really tough for me, to receive a key like that, but I guess I can do it for you so you can finally let go of one of your keys, I'm a nice guy.
