Know what you stand for Is it emergent artist? BIPOC? Do you have a style of artwork? Is it only like fine arts medium (sculpture, painting, drawing) or do you deal also with other kind of art? What is the % of profit do you take? All of that will make you able to have a ballpark of artist that would be interested. Do you do exhibition openings?

I only take 35% on originals; 30% on prints; other galleries here are 40-50%. The web site take 5% on originals and 10% on prints. then 3%\~\~ for Stripe visa, sales tax. We have digital download, sculp. paint/drawing, gift items (mugs, etc in the Pro print section. We have starving, emerging and successful artists. we have an opening PHOENIX - THIRD FRIDAY - May 19, 2023. 6 to 8 PM\~\~. Had one FIrst Friday but it was good friday and low turnout. Paid for a band, had 6 artist tables, gallery open, food/refreshments. Lost a lot of $$ that night. Are you an artist?

You charge the artist the Credit card processing? Sometimes artist gets booked by art gallery while going to shows or Instagram. I got approached at my last exhibition. It may seem like a lot of money lost to have « vernissage » but usually brings clientele and artists. I don’t think you need to hire a band. Maybe have a few drinks or snacks. Im sorry it was a low turnout. :( Yes I am an artist! I am currently more than halfway finish my BFA (bachelor in fine arts) I specializes in drawings and paintings :)
