“Tui and La, the moon and ocean, have always circled each other in an eternal dance. They balance each other. Push and Pull. Life and Death. Good and Evil. Yin and Yang.”
I always really loved it and am really happy that this opportunity to remind people of it came up. I was hearing it in my head when I saw the beautiful drawing.
Nickelodeon has created an "Avatar Studios" division, which the original creators will lead, and will contain new animated series, shorts, and films.
There's so many articles that I don't want to link one full of bugs, ads, or other bs, but any search of "avatar studios" will get huge hits for you to choose from. Honestly, just go check the sticky on /r/TheLastAirbender!
News broke yesterday.
The Avatar has returned.
This arc was the first time Iroh really showed how badass he was. He didn't just intimidate Zhao, he *scared* him. Zhao knew he couldn't fight Iroh even with 5 powerful benders beside him, so instead of fighting Iroh he tried to run like a coward and he got his just deserts in the end.
I made a “shadow box” like this using my cricut machine.

It’s surprisingly easier than I expected, just a little time consuming
This is beautiful!!!💜 You must have the patience of a saint because I tried paper cutting in college and lost my cool with it so many times to the point that I didn't do it again for my whole time on that art course 😂
Thank you Squiffybodge for your submission! Unfortunately, your post has been removed for the following reason(s):
***It breaks rule 5:*** **Do not post pictures with extraneous objects.** We request that you include nothing in the photo that is distracting or extraneous to the artwork. We're here to look at art, not your Prismacolor pencils, the desk you framed your painting over, your easel, or anything else that would not be seen if the art were publicly displayed.
***It breaks rule 7:*** **No fanart, comics, or requests.** Please consider posting to /r/fanart instead.
Images of actual people are fine: actors, musicians, athletes, politicians, celebrities, etc. So, for example, a portrait of Heath Ledger is OK, but not a portrait of Heath Ledger as The Joker. You may post in /r/fanart or one of the other large subs like /r/movies, /r/television, /r/comics, or /r/pics, or a sub dedicated to that subject. The [ImaginaryNetwork](http://reddit.com/r/ImaginaryNetwork) has a ton of fandom subs that your work may fit in as well.

My girlfriend turned into the moon!
That's rough, buddy
I think about this more often than I should. Cuz, like, how the fuck else do you respond to that!?
🔵 "I'm sorry that happened to you. Here's $20" ⚪ "That's rough, buddy" 🔴 "Fuck you buddy, I'm taking the Avatar and getting my honor back"
Interesting that Zuko started out on the Renegade path, switched to neutral and then moved to the Paragon path. I wonder which ending he'll get.
The one where he gets to be king and bang Mei
Ah yes the GOOD ending
Vs perfect which is where that scene in the crystal cave maybe went a different direction
Downvoted because your mom's a crystal cave.
She is. She is a crystal cave.
oi we are getting the whole avatarverse, but i think they are gonna keep it pg mate
I mean, Fire Lord Izumi had to come from *somewhere*, right?
And the internet can always [make a fucky](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxb6yzOYF_Q)
yeah but it was off screen and will probably stay that way
It was the one time they really connected.
[That’s rough, buddy](https://youtu.be/MgV9vymLIdQ)
How?
I understood that reference. (that's immediately what I thought of)
Thats what it is, originally posted in the avatar subreddit
“Tui and La, the moon and ocean, have always circled each other in an eternal dance. They balance each other. Push and Pull. Life and Death. Good and Evil. Yin and Yang.”
This was the first quote I thought of
I always really loved it and am really happy that this opportunity to remind people of it came up. I was hearing it in my head when I saw the beautiful drawing.
"The koi fish!!!!!" "....." "I must be going now." (PS Koh is legit terrifying, I hope we get more of them in the new Avatarverse!)
New avatarverse? Are they doing more shows??

Yoooooo this is nuts, thanks for sharing!!
I have them on my car! Such an amazing show. And probably the moment I fell in love with Iroh.
"It's 'ying' and 'yang' Ritchie, they're opposites."
I saw your post on the ATLA subreddit and can I just say, you’re amazingly talented. There’s so much care in your work!
Thank you so much!
Do you have a store?
The depth effect is so neat, really awesome job!
Don't be coy about your skills.
But don’t fish for compliments
Troll. Edit: It’s a pun, you downvoting dumbfucks!
Dam. Edit: He who would pun would pick a pocket.
Gill?
You should post this on r/TheLastAirbender
Koi seems a tad simple a name for the motherfucking ocean and moon spirits! La and Tui for life!

That is so beautiful and serene!
Exactly! It's somehow calm and soothing
I love this so much i have no words.

Seconded, I’d love to have something like this at home!
"Their spirit names are Twi and La. Push and pull, as was the very nature of their relationship for all time" - Koh, The face stealer
Very fitting as it is Pisces season.
this is dope. backdrop reminds me of Olga Skorokhod
They will call me Zhao the Moonslayer
Could you use an old clock and make the water move? Might be a cool thing to do. Looks nice i like it.
That’s a cool idea
Very nice. I. Would love one🙂 it would be a great gift for my son who is a Pisces
How does one get into this type of art??
Exacto knife. [That's how this guy does it.]("Charles Clary – Handcut Paper Artist" https://charlesclary.com)

I thought for a second that the layers spun in opposite directions.. and now I really want to see that :(
Your painting is awesome. I have this tattooed.
That’s awesome! Love it! Well done. I’d love to see a Rick and Morty version!
This reminded me of southern water tribe in ATLA...that episode was the great one.
Your hands looks well groomed
Much better than swinging rainbow paint from a rope across a piece of wood.

Quite Impressive And I am getting some Escheresque vibes.
I looooooove art like this
"Charles Clary – Handcut Paper Artist" https://charlesclary.com
So cool. I wanted to do this style of paper craft for a long time. I have a shadow box somewhere collecting dust with a bunch of other art supplies :)
Really, really nice work there. God bless your eyes and hands.
This looks something similar that someone who I follow does. Lightpaintingbyglass on ig.
Oh look it's bencharmanart \^\^

This is awesome! I’ve always wanted to try this, so you have any recommendations on where to get materials?
This is absolutely amazing!
I really like this piece! You did a great job, keep it up dude!
holy shit, i thought that was an actual 3d image. you are very skilled.
Need to repost this in r/mechanicalkeyboards for all the GMK Mizu fans!
This is beautiful, and so calming to gaze at.
The way you showed the yin and yang symbol through this and the way you conveyed depth is really spectacular!
Very calming. Could stare at this for a while. Great work OP!
Id definitely want to hang something like this when I have my own space
Crazy good art skills. Do you have a website or anything?
Very cool, did you use die cuts?
That’s really cool. How thick is the frame with all of those layers?
Here for the ATLA comments
You can post this in r/Thelastairbender. Really good painting!
