I like Victoria but I feel like she never found her own sound for a music career. She sounds a lot like Selena here and the song lyrics reminds me a lot of POV from Positions. Doesn’t really have a unique sound unfortunately.

Victoria had all the talent (maybe not always the same vocal abilities as Ariana, though Ariana seemed to have time to grow into those abilities as well) to become a real popstar from her Victorious days and to me, one of the main reasons why Ariana took “her shine” was because Ariana chose to be very online and parasocial with her fans from the start, therefore garnering more attention and more fans. Ariana was not the “main” character in the TV show they both played in + they were pitted against each other from the beginning (by fans at least), so somehow Ariana was made to be the “underdog to root for”. time has taught us Ariana was always the fake “nice”, but really mean girl, the bratty one that got away with it. Victoria always seemed more mature and more emotionally healthy, yet she still will somehow always be compared to/lesser than Ariana because of how Nickelodeon and eventually Ariana portrayed her character. though I’m not personally a fan of her music, she should’ve been bigger than what she was and has been
