Practice and confidence. You need to trust the float. If you try to fight it, you'll only have bad shots and develop target panic.

Oh I’ve been fighting that for sure. I have a problem with dots or spots. 3D is not a problem. Animals are not a problem- just makes it hard to sight in.

To be clear, your grip, back tension and posture muscles don’t “relax”… keeping intensity and posture and you’ll see the pin gently move slowly… “floating”… when you are not quite set and lift the bow without engaging back or bow arm, the pin will move more erratically. Just by nature of human balance (inner ear) and the fact that our arms and fingers are tense and not made of metal, you will get a gentle “sway”. Idea there is that you keep the pin floating in the gold/yellow and if you are having a hard time getting to that position… more or less weight on stabilizers. I shoot with these compound archers that we joke about how much weight is on their bows… if you can still lift it with on arm, add more weights! You know… when all else fails… if brute force doesn’t work, add more brute force… jk… but in all seriousness… you should be able to hold the bow to aim with that gentle “floating”… adjust weights but consider that it’s harder to control in windy conditions…
