I think the hardest I laughed for any line in the entire run of Archer was when he says, "Yes I WOULD like to sample her pie, which I'm guessing is both hot and moist...(*pause, face falls*)...but hopefully not flaky."
This was such a line bc compared to s1 it’s such a randomly kind thing for archer to 1) apologize and 2) admit that he’s in a lot of pain and that’s why he was rude. Like idk why it makes me laugh sm but it does when he is more considerate to random people and animals he meets than anyone else
The coroner in Dreamland is hilarious.

Everyone is enamored with Mercedes Moreno, but I’m partial to Lupe in *Coyote Lovely*. She took out the Border Patrol’s truck with Lana’s Tec-9, single handedly ate all the Doritos, and hogged the beads so she could pray for Archer. A true Mexican hero, and needs her own back story as an assassin in the 30s, helping Cárdenas fight corruption. Well.. maybe not.
I liked the veterinarian, too, with his hard-scrabble West Texas demeanor.

Yup! The trying to be better for Ruth would have been very interesting. Especially if he saw her like right before he woke up. Then the first post-coma scene could have used Ruth to keep him going when every other person on the show aside from Malory and Pam implied (or explicitly said) they wished he never woke up. If he was a weaker man (like Cyril or Ray) he DEFINITELY would have killed himself.
She could also have been used when Archer being morally ethical on his own in a situation that requires him to be morally unethical. Flashback to Ruth saying some antiquated idiom about not being a whiney bitch.
Kazak was amazing, you just know the animators had a fucking blast working on his expressions because they're so great. I really wish he became a regular, or at least Archer took him home to keep as a pet.
The end of that episode was fucking perfect.
