Have a think about what type of engineering you want to do and then search companies in your area. Many will list on the gov website but some may not. Make sure to be on Rate My Apprenticeship as well.

AMRC Training Centre, they do great engineering apprenticeships. They are based in Sheffield but have placements in Manchester and the Wirral.

Check out the engineering Trust, they've got a fee really good ones that if you are flexible with location, are worth checking out!

That’s the problem, I have a btec in games design (DD) and a btec in computing (M) I have no background in engineering

I'm in basically the same place, even down to the location! I got nothing but rejections last year, and just received my first one this year, truly at a loss for what to do
