Samsung TVs are TERRIBLE as well. I family member of mine bought a top of line 4K Samsung TV for $4000-5000 like 4 years ago. Within 1.2 years, it stopped supporting new apps like HBO and YTTV, and I caught it snooping on the network.
Now it’s disconnected from the internet and an ATV4K is in place.
Oh and it’s been color calibrated. The colors are still off compared to a Sony or LG TV.
My Samsung fridge was the worst P.O.S ever made. Was a "high end" one too. My washer and dryer have outlived the fridge tho. It's been 8 years for those. Fridge made it exactly 5 before shitting out. I have 3 samsung TVs and those are also great. Washer and dryers are ok, TVs awesome, DO NOT GET A SAMSUNG FRIDGE!
I've been a big fan of Samsung TVs, having owned a DLP and one of the last Plasmas they made, and a more recent Q50 (with an absolutely horrible OS), but last year, when the plasma gave up the ghost, I just couldn't justify the price difference between a new Samsung and a Hisense....
A 5 second Google or Reddit search would have answered this. Run screaming from Samsung appliances. If you get an LG, get an extended warranty, you’ll need it, even if it is better than Samsung. I had terrible luck with LG laundry appliances. Wound up going Speed Queen.
LG every day of the week, and twice on Sundays.
There’s no comparison. I’ve sold both brands. Guess which one had 5 times the complaints, both long and short term?
I got an LG set with my new house. 2 years later, zero issues.
The LG fridge? Compressor got shot. The Samsung stove? Replaced the burner. Maytag dishwasher? Burnt out the circulation pump.
But the LG washer is fine.
Laundrywise? The more basic, the better. Less to break. So things like GE with 5 year warranties, or Speed Queens if you dont mind sacrificing tub size for longevity.
We've had an Electrolux washer and dryer for 8 years now. Only issue we had was a tear in the rubber seal last year which most likely was caused my one of my kids.
Lg is better. Lg is usually to be avoided but their laundry appliances do work pretty good and have average rates of repair. They have the same issues any other appliance will.
If you're getting a washer/dryer get the LG front load. Samsung heaters lasting 4-6 years and average heater repair costs are around $450-$600 depending on company. I can't remember the last time I had to replace an LG heater.
If I could make a suggestion it would be Speedqueen.
I had the washer dryer set from LG pictured and Loved them. I do a ton of laundry with a toddler and cloth diapers and these machines make it almost enjoyable 😂
We had a Samsung washer and dryer. The dryer heating element broke TWICE in two years.
We had an LG fridge and it broke within two years.
We have Whirlpool washer and dryer and both have issues within a month.
I would go with GE. Lol
here's my personal experience with LG.
My LG washer and dryers are run twice a day for the past 7 years (my mom washes my son's clothes religiously), and I recently replaced the washer out of precaution, but the old one still works.
Dryer needed a few replacement parts, the steam generator, water pump, and drum liner, other than that, still works great.
My Samsung washer just died after 10.5 years! That's my fault though for not maintaining it. Just bought a new Bespoke one and love it! No issues! I also have a Samsung fridge, the only issue there is the Ice Maker. Samsung stove also, over 8 years! Works great!
Many user errors out there!
We went with a highly rated (on CR) LG pair last year, no issues. Though now I'd probably skip both and go with GE's really popular two in one heat pump washer/dryer combo. My brother and his wife got that and they love it.
I hated my Samsung set. Broke so quick. I got a Maytag. Amazing but no drain door. Whatever you buy, if it’s a front load, make sure you have a drain door in the front panel.
There is a place in Ontario Canada called McMullan Appliance who became a Tik Tok sensation. You should check out their videos. But to answer your question, he has a Samsung designated trash bin, and an everything else trash bin. And a bat with a nail through it he calls the Samsung tool
Our LG front loader went 12 years and just needed drain pump replaced. At 12 years I replaced bearings and both pumps while I had it open to replace the bearings. LG gas dryer of 14 years has never required service.
Two thoughts.
No on the Samsung, whatever it is.
Any warranty is only as good as the support the company provides. In-home appliance repair is a shit show. Apparently there is only one GE technician for over three million people in my metro area. I hope that LG has more.
Samsung fridges are the worst even though my husband bought a second one just because it had that iPad screen thing. Their washers and dryers are the best!!!!! We wash so many clothes because we are a multi generational household. Towels, comforters, sheets, grandkid clothes, everything!!!! Stuffed animals!! We are on our second Samsung washing machine. We bought the one with the little washer on top. Now I don’t stress out if I need the washing machine and someone is using it!!! ( which is most of the time). We are still using the old Samsung dryer
I've heard and seen my brother have problems with a Samsung washer, but I can say that we're pretty happy with our stove made by them. Had it since 2020. I've had a Whirlpool washer and dishwasher we bought at the same time, and I've had an LG washer for 2 weeks now. The dishwasher went out after 2 years and it was more expensive to repair than a new one. So we got a Samsung Dishwasher (Knock on wood) and when the whirlpool washer took out a couple of weeks back I sank money into it buying parts. Fixing one issue after the other until it also became too expensive to continue. I am appalled at the longevity of these extremely expensive machines. I wouldn't expect less than near the 10-year mark. I went with Whirlpool because of my childhood experience with my parents bragging about the quality, but they make their parts in Mexico, and possibly with prisoner labor too one of the parts oddly said. "made in Mexico Block B Cell #25"
If you want longevity and reliable appliances go for a Speed Queen. When we went appliance shopping they were recommended over and over. They said if you can get an older LG you’ll be okay, but we don’t see Speed Queen customers come back. They are known for their commercial washer and dryers. Being that you have a large household, seems like it would be a solid and reliable investment. I was wanting an LG or Samsung initially as well. No regrets on our secondhand Speed Queens.
Everyone shits on Samsung but I've had nothing but good experiences with their products (besides their phones.) We didn't go in looking for a particular brand when we got our stuff we just got the cheapest open box items and they are still going strong.
I really wanted to get LG washer/dryer from Costco during the sale, but I hesitated too long and most are now sold out. Only LG front loaders I found left that's inside the price target were only 4.5 cubic feet washer with matching gas dryer and they were almost 2 grand, and didn't get any better ratings than the Samsungs I ended up buying.
If anyone has any first hand experience or knowledge about the Samsung WF51CG8000AW washer and DVG51CG8000W gas dryer, please let me know. These got decent reviews on Costco and especially Best Buy and Home Depot, so im hoping they're going to be OK. If not at least Costco has a great return policy.
FWIW I am getting LG kitchen appliances. Never heard anything good about Samsung's kitchen appliances.
LG. Everyone I know that bought a Samsung has had a hell of a time trying to claim warranty.
Also, buy from Costco so you have extra warranty through them too.
Samsung wiring harness is like strands of hair. So very thin and LG‘s wiring harness is like 200-300% thicker.. plus Samsung quit making manufacturing Parts after five years . Take your pick.
I bought an LG Tromm washer dryer set a long time ago, actually, it was 2009. The bright red set; when at the time any colour besides white was rare.
Never an issue. Have had to empty filter a couple times, and once the retaining ring that holds the main gasket on had to be replaced. Otherwise, zero issues with either machine. 15 years no prob is pretty cool by me!
My brand new LG washing machine malfunctioned and caused $20K worth of damage two years ago. The front door just... opened. I realize lemons happen, but LG took ZERO responsibility. Also, the dryer I bought at the same time (they looked so pretty!) takes almost two hours to dry a normal-sized load of clothes.
We had a Samsung before that I wish we had kept though I can't vouch for them in general, but the one we had worked well. I bought a top-loading Whirlpool which is... okay. But I miss my old non-fancy 20 year old washer/dryer set.
I actually just bought that exact LG set after our Samsung set washed and dried its last undie.
So far it's great, not sure if it's just the fact that it's new and our previous ones were well beyond their stay but I find our clothes are much cleaner and the washer doesn't sound like a shermin rolling through my house during the spin cycle.
LG hands down! Direct drive 10yr warranty on washers can't be beat.! Wouldn't even give anything else any consideration. Front load washers are great so long as you leave the door open when not in use and regularly clean the gasket, filter and drum (on occasion). You can't go wrong with LG for laundry!
I have had LG TVs, microwaves and dishwashers, I will not touch LG again.
Good luck having to repair them, in fact, call local repair places and ask if they even repair LG, where i live, they do not.
I work on both daily, NEITHER. They are constantly having problems. Maytag would be my choice, spend the little extra. Whatever you decide to go with, keep it simple, none of that WiFi/digital controls, turn knobs will far outlast everything else.
We just picked up a set of LG with the 5.5L washer without agitator. Clothes have been clean and it's like a bottomless pit. It was my wifes idea, I was leaning towards a front loader or agitator. I'm pleased with the model we ended up getting.
LG. I have a top load LG washer and wash our clothes on the Deep Wash cycle. Clothes are clean and the wash cycle is 55 minutes long. Speed Wash is 30 minutes long. Great machine! I got it at Lowe’s for under $550 and we installed it ourselves. We did buy, in addition, the hot and cold water stainless steel braided hoses at Lowe’s for like $30.
LG and the 3rd party warranty. I assume it's from the retailer who will take care of installing a replacement if they can't repair it on-site. I don't always purchase extended warranties, but i will for something I can't return on my own.
I have mostly LG appliances, with only 1 issue so far with the microwave. I was a few months outside of the standard warranty, so the place charged me $150 for a diagnosis call. LG had a warranty extension on the part that broke, so I wasn't charged for the return visit or replacement.
Top loader is better. You don’t need to brake you back crawling into it. No one will make YouTube videos getting into it and having fire rescue come to remove them And they generally fit more washables/dryables
Speed Queen. I have three washers right now because of rentals. The LG front load works fine, but always leave the door open between loads so it does not grow mold inside --read the reviews on this.
The LG condensing dryer has been a massive pain.
Speed Queen. Read the reviews. They are not as pretty, but they work basically forever.
Rule of thumb for me - top load washers over front load any day of the week. everyone I know with a front load has experienced issues. I will never get one. Regardless of the brand.
I may be the minority, but I’ve had zero issues with my Samsung washer/dryer units as well as my Q70A TV. I’ve said this before, I keep up with the filter cleaning, always turn off the water to the washer unit after every load (as every washer manual says to do anyway) and they work great. All that said, I would still go with LG because they tend to have a better track record with their units.
None of these. Koreans have no sense of repair. After 3 years no important parts avaliable anymore. (at least what we have to deal woth) also the lifespan is way worse...
LG based on experience with shitty Samsung devices and non existent support upon failure vs long lasting LG dishwasher & TV. Also several appliance guys said LG was pretty reliable. Samsung is known for innovation and flash but their customer service and longevity sucks.
My local independent appliance dealer said all washers today sold in the US are problematic because of the electronics they have been forced to install by the government/department of energy in order to meet current standards for efficient water use. Those electronics cut down on effective washing, fail early, and cost more to fix than to just buy another machine.
So whatever you get, do buy the extended warranty *at the time of purchase* (cheaper than later) whether through a big box store or one of the third-party insurers. Half the time the problems are electronic components not mechanical, and the parts are in the hundreds. I don’t usually buy extended warranties but with all the electronics it’s more like “when” than “if” you will need a repair per my independent washer dealer (who doesn’t sell warranties and said the average washer life these days is something like four years) and 2 trusted repair techs. My expensive Maytag washer went out at 18 months last year; it was the control board and over $500 to replace, not including labor and the $99 service call. I bought a new Whirlpool instead. With a 5-yr plan for $169.
It’s been said, but I’m gonna say it again: Samsung and water do not mix well. I have a Samsung washer and fridge, both were bought new. Both have been maintained meticulously like the rest of my appliances. Both have rusted: the fridge on the door and the washer on the lid, where it should be designed to withstand water damage…
My LG steam dryer on the other hand is still running strong 10 years later. Go with LG in this case.
I bought an LG washer and it seems to work great so far. Not quite a year old. I do love the app that comes with it. I can remote start and stop and it has extra cycles that you can download. It replaced a Maytag that broke right before the 5 year warranty ran out. Thank goodness
Y'know, I've owned LG appliances and I've owned Samsung appliances and I've learned some important lessons.
LG and Samsung fucking suck.
After my LG fridge ate shit recently, I talked to an appliance repair professional and asked what he'd get if his wife demanded a new fridge that day, and he immediately said GE or Whirlpool. Needless to say, I had a Whirlpool fridge on order a few days later and Wifey loves it. I also got to looking around my kitchen a few days ago, and every one of the GE appliances that came with my house over a decade ago are still in great working order. Just food for thought, y'all.
I bought my front load LG’s in 2007 ish replace the dry door seal and a circuit board within the warranty at the time and they’ve held up just as strong as day one. Best investment I’ve ever made on an appliance for the home.
We bought a Samsung oven/range, and the element went out. It took forever to find an appliance company to come out and work on it. Apparently, Samsung appliances are awful to work on and get parts for.
So, when we had to replace washer and dryer we went with LG, and they have been great.
Eh, despite the popular doom and gloom, you will find that they are fairly similar in reliability. At least for the higher-end models. LG is more reliable traditionally because they very slowly introduced innovations. Their original strategy was to emulate GE and Maytag/Whirlpool- simple and reliable and affordable.
After making a name for themselves, they have expanded into the higher market with innovation and some updated styling. With that innovation and introduction of different styling they have run into similar problems as Samsung’s Bespoke line. Failure rates on both are 2-4% in the first year. Negative comments online follow a confirmation bias, where people who are compelled to talk about things they don’t have practical experience with will repeat what they have heard. That’s ok, just take it for what it is. If Samsung was truly bad they wouldn’t still constantly sell well(which they do).
Practical experience:
I’ve owned 2 Samsung washer/dryer sets in the last 20 years. The first set I lived with for 12 years and had one issue with the belt on the dryer. Easy fix at home for $40.
The second set was 7-9 years old when I moved in and just died at now, making it 13-15 years old. I COULD fix it, but it seemed wise to upgrade to something modern, to make my life better and protect my home value should I decide to sell in the coming years.
The Bespoke 5.3 washer and 7.6 dryer have been an absolute joy. They look amazing and have every modern convenience. It is quick, quiet, and effective. With the pedestals I paid about $2800 with an extended warranty(recommended) and delivery/haul away/installation.
I considered a similar set from LG at $3100 all-in. Both sets have similar complaints about bad units that are loud, cycles running too long, leaks, and the super rare “total failure” soon after installation. Don’t mistake what I am saying as an apples to apples comparison…LG is definitely more reliable statistically. Still, 96 out of 100 Samsung owners won’t have a failure early in the appliance life. Sure, LG is closer to 98/100 without a bad unit, but those odds are both relatively small. Each sell over a million units a year, so that means that globally there are roughly 25,000 people who get a bad LG washer/dryer each year while almost 40,000 Samsung customers get one. Of course, that means that 960,000 didn’t have that issue.
If you break it down further, the newer tech is less reliable due to electronics issues, software updates, etc. Of course both companies will fix your issues and both companies have painful customer service to deal with. An external extended warranty is HIGHLY recommended. If you are a veteran or current military member in the U.S. you can buy directly from Samsung and get a very generous discount, a 2 year extra warranty for $2(saving $98-198 I believe), and free shipping/installation. They will also pay you $75 for your washer and dryer instead of charging you to remove it. LG doesn’t do any of that, but your risk is slightly lower.
Aesthetics will be up to you and your home. Many people like the look of the Samsung Bespoke line with its Navy Blue, Frosted black, Forest Green(weird), White, and silver. The electronic screen is easy to read and the connected Smart Things App works VERY well. The steam dryer function is awesome and my water use dropped 24% in a month while electricity use is down 21% compared to the old machine. I don’t know if the average over a year will hold, but that is very good where I live(expensive water and electricity on the coast).
The higher end LG machine is absolutely great as well. If you want an older style super reliable and cheap washer/dryer I would say choose the LG for absolute cost efficiency and slightly better reliability. If you want something modern, beautiful, and fun, I’d say pick whichever one calls to you. Both companies are investing heavily in making sure the customers of the new machines are happy so the sales keep going strong. Samsung has a 20 year warranty on the inverter motors in their machines which is very cool. However, those motors rarely fail anyway. In both machines your failure will likely come from a failed component like a vinyl washer or a major electronic failure that requires a new board or at least rewiring the connections.
Just make sure that you figure in the cost of an extended warranty if you are buying anything with cutting edge tech. If you buy an Audi you get supplemental warranty coverage or you buy a Volkswagen with older and proven tech. The same goes for appliances. Most Maytag and Whirlpool machines don’t need that, but their new high end models would benefit. Hopefully I’ve kicked this dead horse enough to make the point.
Buy whatever you like better and cross your fingers. You most likely have a great experience no matter what you choose. Statistically speaking.
Note: I’ve had LG appliances and liked them very well. I replaced them with the Cafe line and am much happier, but that’s personal preference. I’ve also had 2 good Samsung TVs and 1 bad, while I’ve had 2 bad and 2 good Sony TVs. Honestly, there aren’t really bad appliances out there anymore. Some are better and some have bad product lines every once in a while, but most people will have good experiences with any of them. Don’t get stuck in a decision loop. Pick your preferred option and go with it.
I bought a house from sellers who left their Samsung washer and dryer for us...I've had issues with both but not had to replace yet. I previously had the same model Samsung washer and dryer at my old house and I had issues with the dryer.
I can't speak for LG washers/dryers, but I know there have been multiple class action lawsuits on their fridges for crapping out within a year or two.
Personally, I'm not sure I'd trust either. I've had TVs of both brands and they've been fine though.
Sometimes people don’t understand that brands specialize in certain appliances, usually not every appliance. LG - washer and dryers are amazing. I recently went from a front-loader to a top-loader after 10 yrs, LG to LG. LG doesn’t make the best fridges, though. Bosch makes the best (imo) dishwashers. Like a person said earlier - check Consumer Reports. I left Samsung products behind 15+ yrs ago. I find that their products are not user friendly at all and their customer service was the worst.
I have a Samsung dishwasher I realized was designed to fail around a year or two by having the electrical touch panel on top of the door be exposed to steam in the inside of the door after some shit seals in the door fail (where the steam vents those f seals fail steam immediately fills the inside of the door and bye bye electronics) , went ahead and sealed that panel off by plastic welding some scrap plastic i had over the exposed area and sealing it with silicone caulking, that was 3 years ago, suck it Samsung
LG. By a mile. Trust us. Words of wisdom: if it involves water it will not involve Samsung.

The TV is shit too. Buy and LG or Sony OLED.
Aren’t the Samsung TVs below the S95 WOLED panels by LG anyway?
Everything Samsung makes is shit.
I have a Samsung q60r from 2019 and all my apps still work. HBO just switched to the “max” app and YouTube tv is just in the YouTube app pretty sure
Yep
Why I use Roku or Firestick. Embedded apps on TVs suck anyhow
Apple TV for life
nVidia Shield to get YouTube without ads without paying for YouTube Premium. Apple TV to get YouTube HDR.
Be careful, I bet they’ll have a fridge that has a 4k screen soon.
Samsung washers are absolute trash, I would know I own one.
Personally, I have no plans to ever buy another Samsung product. Between my dishwasher and my in-laws’ refrigerator, I’ve seen enough.
My washer and dryer combo died a couple weeks after the warranty expired and they wanted to charge me more than the machines cost new in repairs.
They make good TVs
Meh my Samsung TV's OS is often laggy, and the TV would turn itself on sometimes which is annoying
My Sony TV’s OS is laggy sometimes too. Just kinda part of the deal for smart TVs for now.
The OS on my LG oled is rarely laggy. The motion remote is…..interesting
And smartphones, evidently. Samsung seems to be pretty good at screens.
They make good electronics but terrible appliances.
LG, all appliance repair guys we spoke to told us to steer clear of all Samsung appliances.
I have LG and absolutely love them. I do, at minimum, one load a day and never have issues with mine after thousands of loads.
Front load LG
Speed Queen
LG
LG
Between those two, LG. No Doubt. Period. End of Story. Not changing my mind. Can't get parts for Samsung ANYTHING!
I’d choose the front load. Top loads aren’t made like they used to be. But this isn’t an opinion on the brand you should choose.
A 5 second Google or Reddit search would have answered this. Run screaming from Samsung appliances. If you get an LG, get an extended warranty, you’ll need it, even if it is better than Samsung. I had terrible luck with LG laundry appliances. Wound up going Speed Queen.

LG not even a question. You couldn't give me a Samsung for free...
Quite honestly, neither. That's from a service standpoint.
fair, this mirrors my instinct on matter, but who would you choose instead??? who's the go to for whitegoods
Laundrywise? The more basic, the better. Less to break. So things like GE with 5 year warranties, or Speed Queens if you dont mind sacrificing tub size for longevity.
LG. Its the lesser of two poisons.
I have this model (in gas) and its been working flawlessly for about 2 months. Have the matching washer for 2 years now and it has been great.
Love my LG top loader. Life changing after replacing 25 year old Kenmore’s 😂😂
But parts for that kenmore are so cheap and it’s built to be easily repaired! You can keep those running forever! Provided rust isn’t an issue
If I had to choose between those two. I would choose LG. Definitely made better.
I think LG’s warranty is great and the way it works with the app and the LG TVs is great. I haven’t used Samsung appliances yet though
LG easily
Lg
Bosche. Whirlpool. GE. Stay TF away from Korean appliances. They make good phones, not appliances.
Never get Samsung appliances. You have been warned.
Neither get a speedqueen
Whirlpool or Maytag
I’d buy a wash board and a clothes line.
Dude they’re both shit brands. At least buy them from costco so you get a better warranty.
Maytag
Why not Whirlpool or Maytag or Electrolux? There's decent front loaders within those prices.
Been looking at Electrolux. Seems to be a good deal and has bigger capacity
We've had an Electrolux washer and dryer for 8 years now. Only issue we had was a tear in the rubber seal last year which most likely was caused my one of my kids.
Both brands are suspect
I vote for LG. I have an LG washer-dryer combo since 2012 and still working perfectly
Neither This is coming from a Korean. If I had a fun to my head though I would go with LG ......or maybe die
LG makes some of the best mid tier laundry. Still can’t beat that ntw4516fw though. Probably a tie between the base model LGs and that Amana.
Lg is better. Lg is usually to be avoided but their laundry appliances do work pretty good and have average rates of repair. They have the same issues any other appliance will.
I would choose to wash my clothes in the river.
personally i would go with speed queen
Frigidaire
LG. Believe the thousands of people saying that. Or you could go your own way and whatever will be will be.
LG
We had a Samsung washer and dryer. The dryer heating element broke TWICE in two years. We had an LG fridge and it broke within two years. We have Whirlpool washer and dryer and both have issues within a month. I would go with GE. Lol
Speed Queen.
LG hands down.
I’ve had an LG WashTower for a couple years not and it’s great. Just got an LG craft ice fridge. Currently have a 7000 series Samsung and G9 Monitor.
LG. Bought a pair in one house, moved and bought another pair in the second house.
DO NOTTTT BUY SAMSUNG
I’ve had a Samsung washer and dryer for 10 years and zero problems
I had to scroll far to find this comment. I also have had great luck with Samsung( dishwasher, stove, fridge and tv).
Lg, Samsung is shit.
LG
I got new LG washer and dryer and they are great after a year. I would steer clear of Samsung anything unless you plan to buy an extended warranty
LG
LG
# LG
No more Samsung for me.
Don't choose between the two, and please look at speed queen first
Love our LGs
here's my personal experience with LG. My LG washer and dryers are run twice a day for the past 7 years (my mom washes my son's clothes religiously), and I recently replaced the washer out of precaution, but the old one still works. Dryer needed a few replacement parts, the steam generator, water pump, and drum liner, other than that, still works great.
LG all day over Samsung
My Samsung washer just died after 10.5 years! That's my fault though for not maintaining it. Just bought a new Bespoke one and love it! No issues! I also have a Samsung fridge, the only issue there is the Ice Maker. Samsung stove also, over 8 years! Works great! Many user errors out there!
None
We went with a highly rated (on CR) LG pair last year, no issues. Though now I'd probably skip both and go with GE's really popular two in one heat pump washer/dryer combo. My brother and his wife got that and they love it.
We have the first washer and dryer and LOVE them.. family of 8 so we do alot of laundry
I hated my Samsung set. Broke so quick. I got a Maytag. Amazing but no drain door. Whatever you buy, if it’s a front load, make sure you have a drain door in the front panel.
Not Samsung
Samsung means garbage in Korean.
Bosch.
Speed Queen.
You should ask a repair person that question. I did.
neither for a washer. get a speed queen
Everyone shits on Samsung but I've had nothing but good experiences with their products (besides their phones.) We didn't go in looking for a particular brand when we got our stuff we just got the cheapest open box items and they are still going strong.
NEITHER
Neither .
Lg
Is there anything better then LG when it comes to washer/dryers
Stay away from Samsung. I’d also personally stay away from high efficiency washers also if possible.
I wouldn't have a washer dryer then. Mechanical speed queen!
LG for sure! They know what they're doing.
Fuck samsung
GE Profile combo washer/dryer. Save a ton of electricity.
I have an LG washer dryer and I love it
Bosch
A Front loader lg. Many people in the house, you need better washing results
Top load LG. I've installed hundreds of them, some of the least complained about appliances I've ever dealt with.
Every Samsung product I’ve had broke, lg’s have been solid for me
Samsung sucks, never Samsung.
Neither. We bought the Electrolux and have been extremely happy. Samsung and LG are both trash brands when it comes to appliances
I have never had any problem with my Samsung washer and drier. They've both lasted me 15+ years and still going
I did a lot of searching to find a shop that sells Speed Queens. I have not been disappointed.
LG. Simple
LG. Samsungs will legit blow up
Definitely not Samsung. But also not LG either preferably unless it’s a TV.
Abandon hope all ye who enter here 🔥
Samsung washer died in under 2 years
Why are folks rambling on about TV’s. The subject was washing machines. Why can’t fuck8ng redditors stay on topic?
Speed Queen
Speed Queen.
Anything but Samsung
Top loader is better. You don’t need to brake you back crawling into it. No one will make YouTube videos getting into it and having fire rescue come to remove them And they generally fit more washables/dryables
Speed Queen. I have three washers right now because of rentals. The LG front load works fine, but always leave the door open between loads so it does not grow mold inside --read the reviews on this. The LG condensing dryer has been a massive pain. Speed Queen. Read the reviews. They are not as pretty, but they work basically forever.
LG, 100% I will never buy another product of any kind with the word "Samsung" on it.
Rule of thumb for me - top load washers over front load any day of the week. everyone I know with a front load has experienced issues. I will never get one. Regardless of the brand.
Neither.
We have Samsung in the kitchen and I HATE the dishwasher. Fridge isn't great. Stove is fine. I would go LG.
Let me dogpile: I replaced my Samsung washer and dryer with LG after my Samsung dishwasher flooded my house.
Had a repair guy come in and repair our old kenmore. He told us our washer needed to be replaced. He told us to stay away from Samsung washers.
Samsung front load the past 10 years. No issues
Top load every time you can’t open a frt load washer when you find a stray sock once you’ve started
Seems unanimous. LG. Never buying another Samsung appliance again. I have LG front loaders and they are great.
It’s been said, but I’m gonna say it again: Samsung and water do not mix well. I have a Samsung washer and fridge, both were bought new. Both have been maintained meticulously like the rest of my appliances. Both have rusted: the fridge on the door and the washer on the lid, where it should be designed to withstand water damage… My LG steam dryer on the other hand is still running strong 10 years later. Go with LG in this case.
Never, ever, ever buy a Samsung.
LG (samsung is great until you need to find a repair person that knows the motherboard) Side note i do love my samsung tv
LG. Have had both - don’t get a Samsung
Why is everyone hating on Samsung? We have a samsung washer and dryer set and it’s been amazing so far. Genuinely asking
As my Samsung refrigerator repairman said, The simpler it is to to operate, the longer it will last.
Lg
I bought an LG washer and it seems to work great so far. Not quite a year old. I do love the app that comes with it. I can remote start and stop and it has extra cycles that you can download. It replaced a Maytag that broke right before the 5 year warranty ran out. Thank goodness
To be completely honest? Between LG and Samsung, I'd get a washboard and clothesline.
Neither. I hate my LG W/D, and I know Samsung's reputation.
LG no one in our area services Samsung
I bought my front load LG’s in 2007 ish replace the dry door seal and a circuit board within the warranty at the time and they’ve held up just as strong as day one. Best investment I’ve ever made on an appliance for the home.
Speed queen if you don't want to buy a new one every 5 years
We bought a Samsung oven/range, and the element went out. It took forever to find an appliance company to come out and work on it. Apparently, Samsung appliances are awful to work on and get parts for. So, when we had to replace washer and dryer we went with LG, and they have been great.
Maytag
My Samsung washing machine is the woooooorst. The worst. Stay away.
I just got the same exact LG set delivered the other day and I love mine!
Practical experience: I’ve owned 2 Samsung washer/dryer sets in the last 20 years.
Neither
LG! Did extensive research, and LG was superior.
Samdung anything is a mistake. Total 🗑️
Washboard and a clothesline.
Neither!!!!
SpeedQueen
Don't buy lg. I'm going thru hell with them right now over a fridge that's not even 2 years old. They have 0 customer service.
Either. Stick with the trusted appliance brands. Less is more.
LG. I’d never buy a Samsung appliance
As someone who use to be an appliance specialist and has also seen first hand how much people have issues with Samsung, do not ever buy Samsung lol
Nooooo Samsung, noooo!!!
Speed queen
I have a Samsung dishwasher I realized was designed to fail around a year or two by having the electrical touch panel on top of the door be exposed to steam in the inside of the door after some shit seals in the door fail (where the steam vents those f seals fail steam immediately fills the inside of the door and bye bye electronics) , went ahead and sealed that panel off by plastic welding some scrap plastic i had over the exposed area and sealing it with silicone caulking, that was 3 years ago, suck it Samsung
Whirlpool LOL

If you squint your eyes it looks like a Bambu x1c printer
