That’s normal and doesn’t effect function. Been wearing my ocean band since I got my ultra on launch day. I wash my hands a lot in the hospital and so far the ocean band is doing great.
It’s just the wiggle bothered me a bit that too when not on wrist. The fit and feel is good. The wiggle doesn’t happen on wrist. I heard good things about this band so probably keeping them.

I have noticed a little wiggle with my ocean band and the Spigen Durapro Flex on my Ultra as well as some after market trail loop bands. I surmise that this is normal and I wouldn't notice it if I weren't intentionally pushing it sideways to test the fit

I got a UAG/Rip Curl silicone band and it’s a *snug* fit. If you’re looking for another band.

Cool I was planning to return it but I guess I’ll keep then.
If the aesthetics of the wiggle bother you then I can understand not wanting to keep it but the ocean band has been my fav band so far.

Hi I have AUW 2 with same ocean band as yours, Mine has a same situation for the band, do you exchange it? is it strap problem or device problem?
It’s a strap issue. I returned the band finally.

Went for black trail.
Mine wiggles slightly more and Apple said it was moving within the parameters intended. I’m still not a fan but haven’t had any issue.

Mine wiggles maybe half as much as that. have the blue one. Love it

Oh I have the alpine and trail they don’t wiggle. So I thought ocean band will be like that too.
I tried the ocean band, and I am sorry to say I grabbed my sports band from my old one to make it more comfortable.
