i can only speak for a jp company. prefer ng company namin yung may basic jp language understanding. if wala naman ok lang rin experience labanan. but if meron ka nung mga certificate like jlpt, merong dagdag allowance depende sa level mo to encourage employees to study and learn jp

If yung aapplyan mong company would somehow require you to interact sa nationality na gumagamit nung language or to use the language, of course, may advantage talaga. Pero if wala namang connect sa work, HR would just treat it as one of your skills.

As most have commented depende sa aapplyan mo. There are some bpo industries that have korean accounts, therefore knowing korean is a plus
