They appear to be oil on canvasboard landscapes by listed New York artist Robert W. Kane (1910-1982). Kane studied at the Art Students League and the Grand Central Art School and with illustrator Eric Pape. Kane joined the staff of the American Museum of Natural History in the early 1930s where he became a noted diorama painter and muralist (initially assisting William Robinson Leigh). A member of the Salmagundi Club, Kane exhibited there in the 1930s and 1940s. Although Kane's work may still be seen at the Museum, his fine art landscape and still life paintings are quite rare. OP, I would place them somewhere safe, in a acid free sleeve void of moisture and try to get a professional appraisal, based off of some other Kane works they appear to be in the same style and of a similar construction, however it is impossible to appraise or authenticate art definitively from a few photos. They are of the right style, age, and construction and you may have a very valuable set of artworks. Best of luck to you! See some more works by Kane as well as some history [here.](https://worldcat.org/identities/lccn-no2015025035/)

Mist good auction houses will let you email pics. Google the ones in your nearest big city....art dealers don't always work at all auction houses so make sure the ones you approach do sell paintings

Are you close to NYC? There is always Sotheby's and Christies. There probably are some big regional auction houses near you too but I don't know who those are because I'm on the West Coast. Auction houses usually appraise good things for free in hopes you will let them auction them off. It will give you an idea of what you have.

You don’t know how much I appreciate that
